The manager is exceptionally helpful in answering my questions about how to cook items, or giving an indication of flavors.

Be it fresh, frozen or on the shelf for dry goods, a person will find whatever they are seeking. If they do not carry a specific item, the owner will suggest where you might find it.

Excellent little market and best Indian grocery around. They don't have a ton of produce but what they have is always fresh. The spice selection is enormous as is their variety of flour, daal, and rice. Prices are affordable and the family that runs the business is extremely helpful and kind.

I love this store. Lots of authentic food, reasonable prices helpful people. I like to experiment with foods from all over. Not only do they offer authentic foods. The are happy to share ideas of what and how to use it. Well worth making them a regular stop.

I'm an American with fairly minimal knowledge of the various regions of Indian cooking, so you can take this with that grain of salt, but I know that shopping here is going to really open up my family's mealtime options. The store smells absolutely wonderful, and there is an enormous variety of products that I haven't seen anywhere else in the area. The proprietor and his assistant are very friendly and explained the uses of several ingredients to me. We left with many spices, flours, and mixes, and with some cookbook/internet time to learn about the products we saw but didn't purchase, I'm sure we'll be back on a regular basis in the future. If you have any interest in Indian food, be sure to stop in -- I want to make sure they are a Portsmouth fixture for years to come!

I love this place. I've always had a taste for Indian food and have also always enjoyed cooking, and have was finding good ingredients increasingly difficult to locate before I found these guys. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the prices are amazing as is the quality. I always recommend this place to everyone.

The produce is so fresh and they are well stocked in all the spices and flours you could ever want. Always a delightful experience.

I was happy to find naan, roti, and the sauce I was looking for. I was also delighted to see fridges full of interesting fruit and veg-- Chinese eggplant, Daikon, curry leaves, mangoes and more exotic looking things. Portsmouth is lucky to have such a store! 😊💚

Nice indian grocery shop in Portsmouth, NH. Well arranged. They have good and fresh stock. Vegetables are fresh. They dont sell any non-vegetarian items like any kind of Meat/Fish.

This place transports me back to India. There is a wonderful selection of real Indian food here! My favorite find was jalebi, and Indian version of fried dough. I also was able to get samosas, curry spices, and dosa flour.

The owners are very friendly & the prices are reasonable. Store has a very good selection of Indian groceries. Will visit again.
