This place is great, the lady's are very helpful/friendly and our transaction was handled the old fashioned way, word of mouth was a binding contract, (no paper work. I was having a bowling bag personalized). The lady said to come back on Wednesday and it will be done, and it was, great price and quality work!. Nice to see a place of business conducts themselves in this manner!. TY Yardgoods!.

I cannot describe how appreciative I am to these lovely ladies. I'm new to knitting and dropped stitches on my project. Without hesitation they told me to come in and helped me fix it. They were very welcoming and kind. Very very cool shop with tonsss of yarn I can't find at other craft stores. Definitely highly recommend this shop.

We travel a lot and I always hunt down yarn stores with locally made or dyed yarns. So far this is my favorite. The selection of local yarn was fantastic. The shop owner was the sweetest, most inviting, helpful and fun person. They have a great selection of yarn and fabric. I would highly recommend this shop. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Thank you for a fun experience the day before our 40th Anniversary!

The store has more to offer. Projects to make. Patterns to use. I make a special order for a cause. I make a head covet for cancer. It hugs the head. Ladies circle will benefit from what they do.

Joyce is amazing and very helpful. The have a wide range of amazing yarns. After I found this place I do not go anywhere else. Yardgoods Center of Waterville, Maine is Truly my Happy Place!!!!!!

Stopped in for the first time to “look” around and were shown the opportunity to purchase a new sewing/embroidery machine. Well several hours later with the best customer service, and demonstration of my new machines capabilities we purchased my new best friend, a Husqvarna Designer Topaz 40. Thank you Sally and Ken for a wonderful afternoon and introductory class.

Excellent selection of yarn, needless, cloth, patterns, sewing machines, long arm quilters, etc! Everything you could need for knitting, quilting, crocheting, cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint, did I miss any? They even had some candle making supplies.
There were completed samples of various patterns.
Crafting classes were reasonably priced!
Extremely friendly and helpful staff!!! You'll feel like family.

I’m doing the 2022 Maine Yarn Cruise and rating all the shops. This one is a standout, for sure! First, they have a little something for everyone, from felting to knitting to cross stitch. I’d say the selection for knitters is the best, so you’re in luck if that’s your thing. The others are varied in their selection. Additionally, they’re VERY prepared for cruisers— one of the best shops, for sure! They have your raffle tickets, a water and snack, fun puzzles to solve for more giveaways, sale items, freebies, and even a shop tour. There are bathrooms on premises if you drive a distance, too! The yarn selection is large and covers a wide variety of interests from simple acrylic, to high end fibers, to Maine made specialties. The ladies in the shop are delightfully pleasant. Great visit!

Very nice selection of yarn, ranging from cotton, wool, and blends with prices comparable to other local yarn shops in the state. People working there are knowledgeable and so helpful with projects and fiber selection. What makes this LYS different is that they also sell fabric and sewing machines. If you're in the area, stop in, add to your stash, then head to Holy Cannoli for a sweet treat!

I was very impressed with this store. It carries a wide variety of yarns including Maine made yarns in addition to fabric, knitting, embroidery, sewing items, etc., etc. They have knitting groups and classes that get together to knit and chat. I met Joyce, the owner, and got excellent customer service which you don’t get in chain stores. She did everything she could to help me find what I was looking for including calling a supplier. I’d rather shop here and help a local small business rather than shop at a chain store. Everyone at Yardgoods was very friendly and helpful.

A dragon's hoard of textile treasures. The yarn selection is enough to make me giddy. Super friendly staff. In the short time I was there they taught someone the long tail cast on, taught me how to pick right sized buttons for my projects and helped a little girl pick out supplies for her first crochet project.

Joyce has helped me along with others in my knitting & crochet journey over these past 30+ years. She is a beautiful person inside & out with a wealth of knowledge to share with anyone. The quality and availability of yarns is packed into this well utilized facility. I hope to check in soon for some additional supplies. Much to see & find along with the visit…

Great selection of both specialty yarns and the basics. Has all of the accessories a knitter could want! Great shop for all our needs.

It could have been a 6 star review, but Joyce was not there today...she makes this place "over the top"...everyone else is helpful, polite, friendly!

Great store with a wide variety of fabric and supplies. The people are also very nice. They also have a yarn store section of the store. They will also sharpen scissors and clean machines. Overall a fun place to go to get supplies of all types.

What a wonderful place to shop. Joyce and Betty are the BEST!! HELPFUL for every question it need you might have. The fabric store is in the other side of the wall and they are awesome and very helpful, too. A one stop crafter shop. We have not had time to check out the other levels the Center, yet, but we will! 👌👏👍

This is the greatest yarn and craft store around. The staff are very knowledgeable and always willing to help you with whatever you need. The owner Joyce is the best, if she don't have it she can get it for you. Great place to visit.. I just love all of them💚💚
