Purple Cow House of Pancakes

Best pancakes ever, monster sized, but not dry. Always flavorful. Side of hash could be a meal, and a good amount of bacon and sausage for the price. Coffee is nice, and refills come by quickly. Best part besides the master class, old school pancakes is the old school decor. It always ends up being the breakfast stop when within an hour of the Skowhegan area.

Prepare to be stuffed!

This was our first trip to Maine and we stumbled across The Purple Cow - EPIC! Large quantity for the price, homemade and delicious! Staff were super friendly and professional!

I went out to eat with my Dad and my other 2 siblings and my sister-in-law. I had a breakfast deal, I got 2 eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, and home fries and coffee for $8.06 and that was including the tax too. Boy was I plenty full, let's say when I left. It was a Saturday night and it was really busy at all. I'd recommend this restaurant for sure.

Delicious food and huge portions! Always packed and busy, so if you're looking for quiet and quaint, this isnt it. BUT it's so good!! My family loves coming here for breakfast!

Great service, very friendly staff and excellent food. This restaurant is a quick stop off the I95 and easily accessible. All our food was very tasty especially the home made corned beef hash. The pancakes were delicious and are the size of a large dinner plate. Homemade muffins and biscuits were very good as well.

Stopped here for breakfast on our way up to Bar Harbor. Fast and friendly service. Try the amazing, giant, fluffy blueberry pancakes.

Drive thru or eat in diner. 50’s diner style and food. Excellent seafood 🦞 chowder, grilled cheese sandwiches and service. Betty Boop memorable.

These are the biggest pancakes I’ve ever had. Wish I had just ordered one. My daughter had scrambled eggs with broccoli. Said it was delicious. Great service. Clean bathrooms. If you’re hungry for pancakes. This is your place !! They even have drive thru.

The purple cow has the best prime rib of anywhere I've ever had I'm a retired trucker of almost 50 years all over the United States and Southern Canada whenever prime rib was on the menu I always order that the purple cow has got a 100% my vote of the best prime rib ever

I've been taking my daughter out for breakfast on Saturdays. It's kinda been out thing lately. We get the pancakes and seem to make out fine.

The flavor, texture and taste of the home fries took me back to my grandma's house. She's been deceased for 3 years. I could definitely taste the love in them 🙊

A recent discovery for me, I love this place. The food is fresh and home cooked with large portion sizes at an affordable price. Their corned beef hash is outstanding. I will definitely be back.

We stopped here on a road trip around New England. We were enticed by the massive pancakes we saw in photos but I dont regret getting a traditional breakfast here. The home fries were my favorite ever.

Went there for breakfast today and was very satisfied. Only paid $10 for biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns, and a hot cocoa. I was completely stuffed, plus have about half of my meal leftover in the fridge. Eggs were a little bit undercooked, I asked for over hard and still got runny yolks, but I can deal with that. Home fries were fine, nothing too special but seasoned well and tasted good. The biscuit was very crumbly, which I find is perfect for biscuits and gravy. The gravy itself was pretty good. Overall i’d give the food a 7/10, but the other 3 points are made up for in service. Waitress was very friendly, and I had my meal within 10 minutes of ordering it. The restaurant also has a very nice atmosphere, it almost feels like you’re living in the 50s with all the memorabilia on the walls. Overall very happy with my experience.

Massive delicious portions, and good prices. A wonderful meal and quick stop during our trip. Thoroughly enjoyed my pancakes and her hash was exceptional.
