Big G's Deli

10 out of 10 recommend! Try the giant loaf of bread, cinnamon roll, cookie, whoopie pie, and a full menu of sandwiches to choose from. It was so delicious and the price was even better. I'll make the trip for this epic lunch again soon. Sandwiches are made with the giant loaf, so I suggest a half unless you're hungry.

I first heard about Big G’s when I was in high school. I finally got down there from Bangor over a decade later and it did not disappoint. I got the Reuben, poutine, and a cookie and it all hit the spot. I split the Reuben with my pops and it was more than enough. The Poutine was hot and fresh. I’m trying the Gov King next time. Recommended!

My wife insisted we go here, the Gerrry Garcia was phenomenal. House made chips too, you can't beat that.

What a great find!! We saw a feature about this restaurant on YouTube and decided we NEEDED to stop on the way from Halifax to Boston. Winslow is right off the I-95 and it was less than 10 minutes from the exit to Big G's.

We went for the bountiful list of sandwiches and were not disappointed, great deli meats and crispy veggies on homemade bread. It took me lunch and dinner to finish the sandwich and I loved every bite. They do breakfast, have pasta, fried chicken, and a few other items too.

Had a peanut butter whoopie pie for dessert too, grab a glass of milk for that delight! I wish them all the success, great local business I'd be a regular at if I lived in Maine.

One thing you need to know… 1 sandwich is probably equivalent of 4 typical sandwich. So when they ask if you want a full one or half, half is plenty!

Great quality meats. Excellent balance of meat and condiments. A full sandwich is great to split or if you plan on two meals. Our group has 5 different sandwiches and everyone loved it.

Wonderful as always! I got a chicken basket for the road and my hubby got a sandwich with turkey, stuffing, ect. He said it was damn good. The chicken had a really good savory taste and the fries were really well made too. Got a whoopie pie we split that night too. Unbelievably good and they're absolutely huge. Always have a good experience with big gs!

Not only was that sandwich amazing, but it was huge and crazy inexpensive. I got the Gerry Garcia. The meat and other ingredients tasted really good. The bread was fresh and soft. The amount of food I got for $10, would cost $20+ at any other place. If you get the full size sandwich, it's just another $3 and it's double the size (the size of 4 normal sandwiches)! Definitely coming here more often.

Saw this place on Munchies. Didn't know how big the sandwiches really were. Ordered too much. Really good sandwiches here. Kids loved the giant cookies.

Gotta love mom and pop places. Support local business. Huge portions! Larger than Texas portions. And great prices. Whoopie pie and potato cakes. Self- bus. The lady at the register is full of energy and funny. Definitely check it out.

Big G's is just about as close to a perfect deli as possible. Massive portion sizes, delicious food, and prices that seem too good to be true. The amount of food that you get here should easily cost double what you actually pay for it. If I lived closer to Winslow, I would probably be going to Big G's every single day. Utterly fantastic.

Absolutely amazing! So many options for everyone! I got the Mathieu's fitness sandwich on rye with mayo.. absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back to try more.

We love Big G's, and have for at least 20 years! No trip to Maine is complete for me without a stop for a HALF Miles Standwich and a whoopie pie. If you're new here, make sure you only order a half sandwich unless you're absolutely starving. A half sandwich is lunch AND dinner for me.

I have been eating at Big G's for at least the last 25 years whenever I am in the Waterville area. Matter of fact, we will take day trips up there at least twice a year just to have their sandwich (Cindy Blodgett is my favorite). The best deli in the state with the absolute best whoopie pies on earth! Only downside, the hours of operation have changed drastically over the last couple of years so get there for lunch!

Friendly staff. Quick service. Extremely generous portions for the price. My only wish is that there was a spot to leave a tip when paying with a card.

First off let me say that their hospitality was exceptional! My friend and I stopped in after a camping trip at Isle Au Haut, Maine which is 2 hours out of the our way home, but we have been wanting to try Big G's, so we went on our adventure. We got there 2 hours later to find that they were closing early due the heat. They informed us that there was no AC in the kitchen and the temperature in the kitchen was pushing 120 degrees. We told the employees that we were from out of state and that we have been wanting to try Big G's for a while. After hearing where we from, they made an exception and let us in. At first they said that we can only have cold sandwiches, but one of the cooks came out and greeted us and said told us order what we wanted and that she would not have a problem cooking for us. We felt special! Thank you for a great experience!

Great Reubens, it was really big, I took a to go container for the second half and had it for lunch at home the next day. They put the cheese and meat next to the bread so the dressing and saurcrout don't make the bread soggy.
