Loved their vinyl collection found a ton of gems!!!

Bought quite a few records from them, and make sure to price check the records that aren't wrapped!

They had a few record players on display but they were way too experience for me to justify the cost (marked up super high) went to best buy and got one!

But man their collection was awesome!

Amazing store that has everything like books, movies, music, instruments, retro game consoles and games. The store has its own entrance. Plenty of parking.

You would not believe their inventory until you walk in the door. Amazing selection, reasonable prices and you can sell the books back to them and any other books you may have collected.

2nd & Charles is a great new addition to Gurnee Mills. They have a very wide selection of both used and new books on a variety of topics, along with some music and toys. It’s similar to Half Price Books, but this store is much larger, nicer, and brighter. The prices are also quite good. Although this isn’t of interest to me, I was also surprised to see a decent selection of guitars. 2nd & Charles is definitely a store I will continue returning to.

We love 2nd and Charles. It is always worth dropping in to see what treasure you can find at a 2nd and Charles if you love reading, music, anime, or just enjoy browsing for interesting things. I have found great old CD's, albums, books for me and my grandkids and even a beautiful windchime, and my husband loves checking out the comic trades.

What a neat store! On top of being a well stocked book store they also carry a large variety of other items. Including themed shirts, puzzles and games, toys, gifts, gags and some wild decore. The mall was closed early on 4th of July but 2nd and Charles was open a bit later which worked out because I really liked what they had. The staff was also very friendly and helpful and let us know how to get a coupon for some %off.

This place has everything you can think of. Anything from New books to old books to used books. Best yet, you will find them at great prices. There's also manga and dvds and movies and music and toys and video games and pop dolls. The place has endless options. There's just so much stuff to see and every time I go there is even more stuff. I wish I could buy everything.

Last trip there I was able to find some first edition hardcovers of Christopher Paolini's entire Inheritance Cycle in great shape ( i dont mind reprints but there is something about first editions i love). Being bilingual, I was even more excited when I found a spanish sealed brand new audibook of Eragon for $2. All four hardcovers and the audio came out to $40.

Take note though, they don't give out plastic bags so if your hauling, you will have to buy a bag. They sell them for $5 or $14.99. I didn't mind but if you're not trying to spend money on a bag then take your own.

Great store. Huge store. Have pretty much any book genre you can think of. They sell video games and game consoles. Funko pops are sold here too. Amazing manga section, both new and used. Bathrooms are decent but at least the option is there. Can't comment on the buy back service since I haven't used it. Been here 3 times and they haven't disappointed me.

A rather large bookstore with a mixed up section of indie comic books, but worth looking through!

Lots of books here, the staff was so friendly and willing to help me search for multiple books.they all had nice personalities as I walked the store with them. I could spend hours here. I haven't tried it yet but they buy used books and other things too kind of like a platos closet but for books!

Love the vibe of this awesome book store! Great manga selection, love the tabletop book availability, fun to browse through the really old books. Love how they have both new and used copies of books. Great selection of cookbooks too! Fun place to browse and shop!

Has so many cool things at affordable prices. Collectable items that bring back great memories.

This is what a modern day pop culture so should be. You could literally spend all day here and still not see everything. From a massive swather collectibles to a wealth of new and used books and even a surprisingly good selection of used guitars this place has it all. My favorite thing is that they're good quality used books are not crazy priced sure it's going to be a little more than your local used bookstore but they're not out to steal from you by any means. Expect to pay 2 to $5 for a good quality paperback and 5 to $15 for a hardback which is very reasonable given the quality and their selection. It's always wise the price check cuz some stuff is priced for higher than it should be for things such as electronics but I think this is more oversight than intention as there are many things that are very affordable or even discount in price.

A great store. My first time here. Lots of different and affordable books. Including a rare book section. DVDs. Lots of discounted books. Could have browsed much longer.

It's a good old-fashioned bookstore and more. It's chocked full with cool things. You can sell your stuff to them as well. I could have spent a lot of time in here but need to knock out my steps.

Inside entrance is in the center court. Outside entrance is tucked in a corner nearest to Portillos.

Bonus: They only use reusable bags. Bring your own or buy one from them.

So much more than just a bookstore. When we walked in we felt like we walked through the doors to Narnia. This place has so many cool miscellaneous things definitely worth stopping in, just make sure you have enough time to walk through all the areas!
