They also have an epic wine club that features 2 bottles every month focused on a new region so you get to learn all about the wines they offer.

If you’re local to the Encinitas/North County area, they offer free shipping on orders over $50 which is wonderful. Support local instead of buying from a big wine retailer and try one of their unique reds. You can also order wine from them in California for a flat rate of $15.

Bonus, all their wine descriptions on their website are so helpful and on point, so if you don’t know what to order just read those. They did a fantastic job describing all the wines they have in shop and have tried all of them themselves. Rare, right? Enjoy!

We have been customers of Caves Wine Shop for over a year and absolutely love their service and their wines! We receive their monthly wine club deliveries but also frequently place orders that are delivered to our doorstep in record time! I love getting new wines every month delivered to my door. Gavin introduces me to wine I wouldn't pick on my own and it great to find new favorites. He has also helped select wines for parties that were unexpected and hits! I highly recommend the wine club if you love wine and want to taste something new.

Caves Wine shop has a fantastic range of wines. Really pleased we found this shop online as I wanted to send Christmas presents to my family. Many of the wines were new to me, and Gavin was able to recommend wines that matched my interests. Plenty of options at a lower price point, and higher if you like too. Gavin and his wife are fantastic sources for high quality wines especially ones off the beaten path. I’ve tried Vivino, Total Wine and some other local San Diego wine stores, but Caves is great for that curated and personal touch. Highly recommend for all your wine needs.

I am part of their monthly wine club where they personally deliver two bottles with a a description of the wine profile and location. Buying from Caves Wine Shop is a game changer! I conveyed to Gavin the wines I usually gravitate toward and he nailed it. He put together a mixed case of new favorites I didn’t even know existed.. crisp, old world whites and light, dry reds best served a bit on the chilly side. And the price point was so reasonable.

Really good service and great international wine selection. I'm based in the UK and wanted to send friends in San Diego a gift - the owner, Gavin, was really helpful and arranged a gift note and delivery at a specific time, as well as offering wine recommendations.
