Pirate O's Gourmet Market

Unique and awesome place to get a taste of some British products. They sell some frozen foods, lots of candy/ sweets, hot sauces, syrups, canned goods, little unique toys, cheeses, drinks and cool season items. I found Golden Syrup here which is helpful for baking British recipes. Awesome place to get some unique and tasty gifts for loved ones. Has a real charm to it. You really have to visit for yourself to experience it. They sell some typical products you can find in any other grocery store but all in all it has many European, Japanese and British items you would have to order online to get a hold of. Prices can be steep but that’s because of shipping and I’m sure to help keep the place a float. All worth it and I definitely will be coming back again!

Great gourmet market with a British lean. Imported sweets and mixes. Great selection of cheeses, jams, biscuits as well. They even had the duck fat I needed for holiday roasted potatoes.

We absolutely adore Pirate O's. This little shop is an absolute staple in our family. We love the wide selection of foreign goodies, the wide variety of one of a kind gifts. When the corner sandwich counter is open, you can't go wrong with any of their delicious sandwiches and tasty lemonade. If you are hunting for true British or German candies, look no further. Please be kind and patient as they are a small shop, and parking can get crazy.

I found so many treasures at Pitate-O’s!!
There’s a little bit of everything here. I found clotted cream and some other British ingredients. They have a huge drink selection!! From ones you’d see in the grocery store to random unique drinks I’ve never seen. This store has turned into a fun date for my husband and I. We go and pick up a new treat and drink then pair it with a fun activity!

Let me first say I was shocked on how great the selection is! I live one state over and drive 4 hours to go to this store today and I am glad I did!!! By far the best selection of British foods I have seen without ordering directly from England. The chocolate selection alone was very impressive, along with seasonings, jams and more. I am glad I made the trip and plan to go back again when I need a European treat. Great selection and friendly staff, definitely a must stop if your in the Utah area!!!!

Every time I come to Salt Lake City, I love to go to Pirate O’s! They have an amazing eclectic selection of imported food stuffs and gifts as well as lots of other stuff! Lots of candy, hot sauce, mustards, cookies, pasta and much, much more! You can also get a specialty coffee from their coffee bar or a fresh sandwich from the sandwich bar! Love this place!

We have shopped at Pirate O’s Gourmet Market the last few years when we are searching for unique gift baskets and deli items. They always have a great selection of bottled hot sauces, cheese, deli meats, unique candy and much more. February each year is their month to have cheese on sale, super good time to try some new cheeses. It is so much fun just to browse the aisles and see the different food offerings.

This is such a fun shop! There are all sorts of candies and treats, and so many other great finds. It is very easy to get carried away and end up spending a hundred bucks on sugar.

This is such a cool little gourmet world grocer. They have food from all over the world, from hot sauces to cheeses to sodas, mixers, chocolates and candies. They also have a bunch of cool little gift baskets. All of the staff were very friendly. If you are here during lunch try a hot panini sandwich, I had the meatball and it was amazing. Best $9 I’ve spent this week! I will definitely be back!!

I grew up coming to Pirate O's and it's been fun to watch them expand over the years. This place is popular for a reason. You will find that foreign food item you can't seem to find anywhere else. You don't want to miss their seasonal offerings for holidays. Their cheese sales are also great!

My friend and I came here for the first time last week! It's amazing! It's a cross between the World Market and Trader Joe's but with its own flair. They had a lot of really cool and vintage candy/things you won't find anywhere else. It's definitely on the pricey side but it's amazing!

Really cool store. There's a large walk in fridge full of cheeses and Interesting drinks. There are also food and candies from all over the world. We took our Japanese exchange student here once and she thought it was awesome and found lots of authentic Japanese candies. There are also lots of jams and jellies and other things of that sort. It's really cool.

A delightful concatenation of imported food from all over the world. Some items for very niche tastes. Great place to broaden your food horizons, or just look and say wow!
Facility doesn't appear to be wheelchair friendly, but great staff seems willing and able to help.

Pirate O's is always a favorite all seasons, but specifically during Christmas! The store is filled with endless choices of different foods, snacks, drinks, pretty much everything you could think of. When you walk in, it's definitely overwhelming with how much inventory they have for everything, so, plan to spend a bit of time to walk through everything. There was a large variety of authentic food from all around the world and I can attest, especially seeing a lot of these items at stores while I traveled. It was so nice to see some of these items available closer without having to pay ridiculous pricing to purchase online with shipping fees. The staff here was super friendly and willing to help with any questions that we had. They were also all wearing masks and adhere to COVID guidelines. I would recommend anyone to check this store out - It literally has everything. I also highly recommend the homemade Caramel Corn Puffs. They are to die for!!!

Absolutely love their selection of older candies and stuff I used to find back east. They also have hard to find dry goods and amazing cheeses!! Everyone needs to check this place out!!
For the month of February (2022) all cheeses are 30% off and they have cheese from Herkimer NY which if you know about cheese it’s some of the BEST cheddar out there! Oh plus they have some really great local beers, gluten free cakes/cheese cakes, chips from England, and lots of other specialty treats!!

I went in to look around and had to get a basket full of stuff. Unique candies that I couldn't find otherwise in the US. This store is really fun to roam through and I always find something unique. There are a good selection of European treats and massive varieties of hot sauces, sodas, and candy.

Good fun, great variety, very unique, great for gifts or everyday!! If I lived closer I would come all the time for cheese and pasta!!

First time visitor and won't be the last. I could go broke in this store. Such an awesome selection of imports and old time American candy at very reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit, if you haven't stopped in.
