Oh my what can you say about POT OF GOLD except absolutely incredible breakfast. Pancakes on the side oh my are they good. Service was exceptional and food was out fast and so flavorful.

Penny Anne's is definitely one of the better breakfast eats in Salt Lake! Penny Anne's gets a great 4.7/5 for me! Food is very well done, higher quality than regular commercial breakfast joints, and honestly the prices are very fair. Not inexpensive, but honestly not much worse than those other breakfast places.

Eggs Benedict is great and unique. It is a Croissant Benedict with both bacon and ham. It makes it super buttery and very delicious. The hollandaise sauce while a little broken, was still very flavourful and didn't take anything anyway. (It does come with tomato, I usually take mine off on a Benedict.)

The scones are one of the best in Utah, always get one! Huge portion, flavourful dough, although could be a little more salted, great honey butter (always get extra), and for only like 4 bucks.

The Hot Cakes (Sour Cream Pancakes) are always consistently great, fresh, and fluffy. Great syrups and toppings.

My only quarrel are the potatoes on the side, the texture is always amazing, they're fried potatoes which I love, they just don't have seasoning or anything. Great place, great food, real breakfast!

Fantastic staff everyone was so kind. We got two small breakfast’s which was still very generous portions! Including the oatmeal. Coffee was good and hot.
Food came out as expected and SUPER fast. We went around 9am on a Saturday had no wait.

The breakfast at Penny Ann’s is so good. I can see why the wait for the cafe is always so long. I would recommend putting yourself on the waitlist on line, so you don’t have to wait at the cafe. The pancakes and the eggs Benedict were delightful. The hash browns were also really good.

This was my first time to Penny Ann’s and Ryann was my server. She hooked me up with real heavy cream for my coffee. She said that PAC has the best chicken fried steak in the state, and she wasn’t wrong. It was pretty amazing. Ryann was friendly, chatty but not intrusive, and on the ball.

I give it five stars. Great food, great service.

I can't put into words how good it is!! Food is fabulous, hot, and fresh, and the service is outstanding! We will visit every time we come to Salt Lake City!!

Penny Ann's is always a good idea!!! The pancakes are the main characters especially with some toppings. 100% recommend.

Food did need to be reheated. Then it was really great! Server seemed to be extra busy. We will come back again. Too bad this bike rider gives a bad name to other riders when parked in the disabilities parking area. Shame to them for tarnishing the respectful riders who know that space is needed to exit the cars of disabled.

This is the place, go here and you will be glad you did. Great pricing for greater food. I have been so many times and will continue to do so. This place rocks. See pictures for reference

I have been known to order 2 menu items myself. It’s that good!!

Good food, the wait time was short even though it was pretty busy and full. The Biscuits and Gravy were rich, the Frybread is a must, I'd go there just for that alone. The Chile Verde could have used a bit more acidity (just my preference) but it was still good; and that Ham and Cheese... I mean for reference the Ham was thicker than the knife, it was picture worthy. Definitely would go again.

Exactly what you want for a breakfast place! I’ve been to Penny Ann’s a few times now. The food is good and the service is fast, it is very reasonably priced. It gets pretty loud with lots of full tables and it is a small place, so you can expect to wait for a table if you are coming at peak times. Their Heavenly Hotcakes are delicious!

The best service by Gage!! We were in a big hurry, and he took the best care to get us in and out quickly. Great, cheerful atmosphere. Good food, loved the not-too-sweet pancakes. Good coffee. We'll definitely be back when in town again!

Classic breakfast spot with spot on service and attention to detail. I really appreciate that they bring a tray full of everything you need; hot sauce, salt and pepper, etc. when you order coffee they bring spoons and all the half and half’s which is a very nice touch. The food is good if slightly under seasoned. I had an omelet which they allowed me to modify which was super nice. The potatoes had a unique texture which I appreciated. I tried my friends pancakes which were good and came with syrup or a raspberry syrup. There are a couple different locations of this place and I’d reccomend this location.

Mike was awesome, very personable and fun to talk to! Fast friendly service. We came at an off hour, so no line but still packed inside. Food was great as usual!

My Wife got the PAC Benedict and I got the ultimate biscuits and gravy. And hot chocolate of course! We were surprised at how fast the food came out!

Penny Ann’s always delivers. Today I went away from my normal selection into a few recommendations. Pancakes, as always, were amazing. We added a waffle, which might be my new go to.

Pot of Gold - 4.5 Stars - very tasty. It is a lot of food and can easily be shared. I felt like it needed more of a base. More potatoes would’ve helped it.

Nutella/Strawberry French Toast - 5 stars - very tasty, but very sweet. Felt like they put a loaf of bread on the plate felt like it was a dessert that could’ve been shared by four people.

Carmel/Praline French Toast - 5 stars - my favorite of the two French toast. Not as sweet as the other. The little praline nuggets were amazing.

This trip to Penny Anne’s has inspired me to travel around the menu a bit more. I think there are some options available that I have been overlooking for several years

Always busy, this place has become a favorite of ours for breakfast and brunch for celebration of events. The staff is friendly, even while clearly being very busy.

The cinnamon bites are usually free, I don’t like them but everyone else does.

The waitlist joining is the best aspect, by far.

The hot cakes are indeed amazingly good.

The food was pretty good. I got the French Toast Sandwich and it's probably the 3rd best French Toast I've had. Service was fast and courteous, the place was clean and had a good vibe.

The chicken in waffles is excellent! It solves the various problems I've run into with chicken and waffles like dryness and getting well balanced bites with all the flavors. The PAC hits the mark as well for the same reasons, but I kept coming back to the chicken in waffles for more. The fried scone with honey butter is delicious and worth a try, expect to share with others as it's huge! I ran into issues joining the Yelp wait-list and called to still get on it, but when I arrived there was confusion over who I had talked to and an explanation that phonecall wait-lists can't be honored. So keep this in mind if you're running into Yelp issues.

I had a breakfast burger customized for my food allergies. It was fantastic! 🤩

We love Penny Ann’s! This time we got the Penny Puffs, Pot of Gold, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and some hot cakes.

The Cordon Bleu was good, but I’d recommend the PAC Benedict over it (that’s my fav).

With the pot of gold, we got 50/50 Chile verde and the country gravy - my wife loved it!

The puffs are always good, and we love their pancakes and boysenberry syrup.

Our server, Michael, was amazing! Had honest recommendations and was quick with anything we needed.
