Love this store! Excellent beer and wine selection. You can mix and match your beer selections so you can try a beer without buying an entire 6-pack. Staff is friendly and extremely well informed on all their products. I am a regular customer.

Love the folks here - so friendly and accommodating! Wally makes great recommendations, and there is just about any kind of beer you could want. They were one of the first in the area to offer mix & match 6 packs. If they don't have something, they'll try to get it for you.

Great selection of beer and wines but this isn't enough to get a 5 star rating.

What I really like about them is every customer is important to them. There is a particular beer I like to use for marinating steaks. These are amazing 16oz steaks with over $20 - $30 in ingrediant just for the steaks. I have a lot of trouble finding the beer i like for the marinade but they've offered and are always willing to order it for me and even keep one case behind the counter for when I come in. They've even had to inquire to various vendors they have about getting it!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PROVIDING OLD SCHOOL QUALITY SERVICE. It truly breaks my heart how far from quality customer service we've gotten because it isn't profitable. As consumers, we need to write reviews like this to praise those doing well and we need to not patronage the companies who loop hole customer service in every way possible. This is the only thing companies know how to respond to these days, that simple sense of integrity that one feels for their work seems to be gone.

Wally is one of the best-kept secrets in Mentor. He carries an excellent selection of craft and import beers, and a solid stock of wine. No hard liquor is available, but he's got you covered for everything else.

In terms of customer service, Wally is friendly, professional, and the kind of guy who gets to know and looks after his regular customers.

Great selection of unique beers and they're always super friendly and helpful in suggesting new things to try based upon what I like. Definitely not your average convenience store - highly recommend.

I live in Colorado and come to Cleveland for business every year, and this is the place I go. The staff is friendly and informative. I've been happy with their recommendations every time. They have the best beer selection. They also have the best meads. Viking Blod and the others of the same family are usually very hard to find.

Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you-- this place has the best selection of craft beer on this end of Mentor/Willoughby, and knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful staff. Most if not all of their beers are available to buy individually, which is great for trying new things without the commitment. Better prices than other craft beer stores in the area for some things, sometimes as much as $1 less per bottle.

Me and my husband’s favorite place to pick up beer. Have so many choices and the staff’s knowledge on the products is outstanding. Always extremely helpful when we want to try something new.

Great selection and the owner is extremely knowledgeable. Always willing to order something special just for you. Rotating kegs each week of really great IPAs and stouts. This is my spot!

Very friendly people, and Wally knows his brews. Surprisingly good selection of brew and wine for a smaller store. If they don't have what you are looking for, Wally will order it for you.

A wine my family likes was no longer being sold at the local grocery stores. The clerk at Mentor Discount ordered it for me and within a few days, called to let me know it had arrived. The best part was that the final price was actually less than what we normally paid for it.

Probably one of the best bottle shops in Ohio in terms of price and variety. Some of the prices are unbelievable for a really good bottle of beer
