El Nopalito Market

Don't go here expecting to find all the amenities available in one of those big chain Mexican markets because this is a small mom-and-pop store. What they have, however, is excellent. Service is friendly and their roasted salsa is by far the best store-bought salsa I have ever had. Parking is a bit hard to find, so allow a little extra time.

I can not say enough good things about this store. First of all, I called to preorder some premixed masa and the young lady that answered the phone to take my order was very helpful. She helped me figure out how many pounds of masa I would need to make ten dozen tamales. When I went to pick up my masa it was ready to go as promised. There was also a very helpful young man working that helped me pick out the ground pepper spices and red sauce that I would need for my tamales. I was able to purchase the corn husks as well. I must say that the selection of products was also outstanding. If you need it, they have it.

Best Market/Convience Store in Cardiff. Has groceries that you can’t find anywhere else in Encinitas and also has amazing prices for food such as the candied yams and 1 dollar frosted bread.

Small market - been getting their in-house salsa and chips forever but they have some awesome fried pork and skins too! Go early for the pork.

I love the El nopalito market. They have great carnitas and chicken in the meat department as well as some very authentic Mexican cheese. They have fantastic guacamole and a roasted salsa.

Fresh tortillas made in house, the best chips and salsas to go, real Mexican sour cream and cheeses, Nopalito is a one-stop shop for everything Mexicana.

Best Mexican shop/store I've ever been! Paco and the whole crew there are helpful, friendly, and awesome!!! Best carne asada EVER!!! Prices are super cheap as well, alot of bang for your buck.

Great guacamole and chips. Theor chicharis awesome Excellent for buying hispanic foods. Did not really like their tamales though

This place is awesome little Mexican store that has everything from meats to be able to send money to Mexico to your loved ones of course every other Mexican amenities.
