Lunardi's Markets

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. Despite the building being older, it is remarkably well maintained.

When I entered the building, I was greeted with a huge black smear of dirt and whatever it was all over the floor. I was VERY impressed that after a one aisle lap, the spill had been cleaned up like it never happened. This impressed me even more, having realized just how busy the place was.

There were employees everywhere, and yet they never were in my way. They were filling the shelves as fast as they were being emptied. I was extremely impressed with how well stocked everything was despite being crazy busy. Not only were the shelves stocked full.... the selection of the items was very diverse, and if you wanted it.... they had it.

The meat department was wildly impressive. The selection of what was available may be the best of anywhere you could think. Wanting PRIME beef was readily available, which says a lot... if you know meat.

Upon checkout, I was immediately motioned by a gentleman working a cash register. Immediately. He took my cart and unloaded it while a bagger efficiently bagged it up. I had a choice of paper or plastic bags, which caused me to flashback to my youth when it was always a choice.

I hope the employees are well compensated because the spirit in this store is because of them and the culture....or at least that what I experienced during my ninty minute expedition.

This is quite possibly the nicest, most pleasant grocery shopping experience I have ever had.

A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. They literally have everything you would want. Fabulous produce, meat and bakery. Patient, excellent service from all.

Service is great, food prep looks great. Clean overall. Store Carries The one and only Ortiz Ventresca Tuna. It is must get if you haven’t tried! Can’t/ won’t find in many places. Please don’t get rid of it.
Also Carries another family favorite Beckmanns Rum Laced Pecan Pie. What use to be a holiday item is so good they make it year round now. But you will have to come here or some farmers markets may have.

Thank you for nice customer service, smiling, etc. Since COVID many places don't care anymore. Please continue to be nice. 😊

I love Lunardi's Ice Cream made by Treat, same as Sweet Retreat ice cream shop, but cheaper at Lunardi's.

I'm so used to going to Safeway and not knowing what I want because I have to check expiration dates and their selections don't look good plus the store is messy and disorganized. From the moment I walked in Lunardis I could see a difference. The employees were nice, everything was organized, all the food is super fresh and tastes amazing. Keep doing what you're doing and I hope every employee is well compensated for their outstanding work ethic and due diligence

This is the first time I am leaving review for a grossers story. And. Is I am compelled. Yes, this is a nice store, well stocked, nice selection. That’s foundational. Service - everyone is friendly now comes the wow - at my check out, I was helped by Angelina - and boy, did she make my day. Angelina made transaction fast, fun and memorable. Upleveled my day. I left the store in a better mood then when I came in.

First time in the store. It was very clean and organized. Fruit and vegetables looked fresh. Bakery items were an awesome selection. Friendly cashier. A tall handsome guy helped me reach an item. Will be back soon and I look forward to buying more goodies there.

One of the best markets. Produce is of exceptional quality and so is their meat and seafood departments. Well staffed so I never wait long. Bakery is consistently delicious as well. Excellent customer service from associates.

I’m lucky enough to live near three Lunardi’s Supermarkets. It’s not a place I’ll shop for staples but if I want the best produce, a grocer butcher, deli food and bakery Lunardi’s is where I head to. The customer service is top notch whether it’s the thinness of calabrese salami, a special cut of meat or custom cake, the staff are there to help you fulfill your needs/wants. Lunardi’s unloads your basket and bags your groceries. If you want/need service out to your car they’ll do that too.

Excellent experience. Always so friendly and helpful. The food quality in the produce and meat seafood counter is always exceptional. The bakery has yummy pies cakes and burnt almond cake is almost as good as the original. We eat at the deli counter and their food selection is delicious and varied.

This store is so clean & fully stocked. The deli section has a variety of cold & hot dishes from soups to sandwiches, pastas to entrees. You won't be disappointed here

I moved out of the Bay Area 15ys ago and I still miss this grocery store so much! It has the best produce and meat sections. One stop shop for all your needed items.

Best neighborhood store. Everyone who works there is like one big family. On first name basis. Great selection of food. Very nice organic fruits and veggies. Best sandwiches. Fantastic cake selection. Deli meats and cheeses are best all around.

They're clean and quick. I usually go here for meat. Butchers are very friendly and ready to help. I ordered lamb neck stew and the young guy was really helpful he cleaned it up to my order and was nice enough to offer more services during the cleaning. I strongly recommend them.

Lunardi's employees are always so helpful. The deli department has quick service. The meat/seafood butchers are always willing to help and provide the cut of meat (or fish) you need. During special occasions (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc), they will allow advance orders and will accommodate as much as possible (within reason). The produce is always fresh and lasts longer than any other grocery store. We always love going there!
