Went here on a Monday during lunch hours. Not a busy time so my experience was excellent! I had Escargot for appetizer, Salmon entree & crème Brûlée 🍮 for dessert! Both service & food were great!! I shall return to try their duck. I don’t drink so I can’t speak on their drinks. The environment is beautiful & non-pretentious. Great ambience!

I have been to this place multiple times.
They serve great Steaks with a French sauce, which I love.
We also tried Trout, and it was good.
Onion Soup can definitely be improved.

An absolutely lovely experience at Left Bank for date night with my husband. The food was delicious and savory from soup to dessert, and the service was exceptional from every person who tended to our table. The atmosphere was warm and elevated but not stuffy. Can't wait to go back!

Growing up in France, I love French cuisine and whenever I come across a French restaurant I definitely have to try it. This is my first trip to San Jose and when I saw the restaurant with its adorable bistro chairs, I had to go in!! Well I was very pleased with my experience. Our server, Philippe was very pleasant and nice. The food was delicious! My son had the lunch special lamb sandwich and I had the butter lettuce salad with the yummy authentic mustard vinaigrette dressing that you can only find in France!! Then to finish our lunch, we tried the apple galette with raisin rum ice cream on the side. It was crispy and tasty!
Can’t wait to return for dinner and a glass of wine. Thank you Left Bank

First time here and this place is absolutely remarkable! Today we had the pleasure of being served by Tommy. If you ever decide to dine here, see if you can request to be seated in Tommy's section. He will take care of all your needs. He gave us wonderful recommendations on everything we inquired about and ALL dishes were deliciously satisfying.

The quality and presentation of our food and cocktails were beyond our expectations. Wait time for appetizers, cocktails, main course and dessert were all served within a short period of time. Everything just flowed so smoothly, this experience along with Tommy's attentiveness to our needs was one for the books! 🥂

Thank you, we will be back soon 💋.

We held our company holiday lunch here and it was just wonderful from start to finish. Booking was easy. The options for prix fixe meals are comprehensive, so it was easy to accommodate the whole team's needs. Service was attentive and prompt without being intrusive. The food was fantastic, and everyone was pleased with the selection.

We absolutely loved this place. Such great food! And the service was just as wonderful! We sat outside due to Covid, but it was still a great experience with the heaters and being able to people watch as everyone walked through Santana Row. Must try the Salmon. Honestly the smoothest, melt in your mouth Salmon I have had, and they pair it with some wonderful sauce and veggies 😋 also the steak tar tar is fire. Great starter, lots of flavors. And the fettuccine is great, comes with a warm poached egg in top, and the dish itself is so unique with all the different ingredients. We will most definitely be back again soon!

I had the pleasure of dining at this French restaurant, and it was a truly delightful experience. The service was impeccable - attentive and knowledgeable staff who guided us through the menu with grace. The food was a masterpiece; each dish was a burst of flavor that transported me straight to the streets of Paris. The ambiance was romantic, with dim lighting and soothing music, making it a perfect spot for a special date night. I'll be back for more!

Lovely dinner at Left Bank! The baked Camembert was so good! Drizzled with honey and gooey melted cheese this was enjoyed by the whole table. Did not manage to get a snap of the escargots. Gone in a flash! All garlicky and eaten with the bread served on table. I really enjoyed the pork tenderloin, nice portion not too big.

If you haven't tried Left Bank, you are missing out! This restaurant is awesome. Very friendly staff. Well prepared entrees. (If you like fish, YOU MUST TRY THE SEAFOOD! You will not be disappointed) Cocktails are outstanding! But best of all, the servers actually care that you are pleased with your meal. I would eat here every weekend (if I could afford that, lol)! Love this place!

Been coming here many times for dinner, lots of options to choose from, and we probably had it all. First time come here for lunch, not as many as the dinner menu, that's why we took almost all the appetizers, and they are GREAT. Birthday guy got his dessert with a candle to blow. Never disappointed!

Absolutely amazing. Our waiter Edward was very nice and helpful. We went for brunch and werent disappointed at all. My mimosa was delicious as was my wifes espresso martini. The escargot was baked to perfection and already out of the shell for a more user friendly experience. The butter lettuce salad was stellar! For the mains my wife ordered the quiche and she loved it. Edward recommended the beef bourguignon and it was one of the best dishes ive had in a long time. It came in it out cast iron dish and was absolutely delicious!! The decore and ambiance were great as well. We will most definitely be back and look forward to the dinner offerings. Well done, Left Bank!

An amazing French restaurant located in the heart of Santana Row, Left Bank is one of the premier French restaurants in the area. The menu is balanced and includes many options for appetizers, entress and beverages. Their patio has a very elegant feel to it, while still allowing you to take in the sights of Santana Row. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked.

Reasonably priced, good service and tasty food. It's a place where we may go again. Note that sitting outside may be better but requires phone reservations two weeks in advance.

Delicious French food. We love our orders: ahi tuna tartare, trout almandine, mussels. The patio is cute and the ambience of Santana Row is unbeatable for South Bay.

Truffle fries are dope!!
This place is perfect for a date or even a hangout with group of friends.
Inside seating is lit currently due to holiday decor!
We sat outside and they provided a heater. The heater was not very strong but kinda enough for us.

This is the first time we went to Left Bank for dinner. We've been here a few times for brunch and that was always delicious.
We brought our cousin to dinner on a Thursday evening around 630pm and 2/3 of the tables were filled. I was not impressed with our host. Not sure if he was having a bad day but he didn't engage, didn't smile, and seemed like he didn't want to be there. All throughout dinner he walked passed us escorting customers to their tables with that same attitude. It's a shame because the servers, waiters, and even the bus boy had positive attitudes and just friendly.
Anyway, we ordered cocktails first. I ordered the Rue Cler which had a peach vodka, apple juice, basil, lime and agave. It came in a champagne saucer and the cocktail was green with little specks of basil or lime zest. The drink was delicious. Sweet, refreshing but still able to taste the vodka. The other cocktail was the Sour Derby which had bourbon, grapefruit, honey, and Merlot. That came in a cocktail glass and the cocktail was orangey with a burgundy puddle floating on top. It looked awesome and our cousin really enjoyed it. Hubby ordered the Oban single malt whiskey that came in a brandy snifter. I had a tiny sip and it was really smokey with a hint of either honey or fruity sweetness.
We ordered the filet mignon steak tartar for our appetizer. 5 pieces of toasted baguette that's cut on a bias. The tartar had a raw quail egg yolk on top. On the side of the dish were chopped shallots, capers and a dollop of dijon mustard. It was delicious! The steak was super tender and meaty. Hubby had fun customizing each bite with various condiments on top. I liked a little bit of fresh cracked pepper to cut the meatiness of the tartar.
For our entree we ordered a ribeye (medium rare) with pomme frites, half pound of Florentine mussels, and the Thursday night special of beef bourguignon.
Ribeye was a perfect medium rare. It was so tender, rich, juicy and full flavored. The au poivre, French pepper sauce came on the side in a gravy boat. It was so velvety and luscious. I like that I can choose to have the steak with or without sauce; being able to dunk the steak in the sauce on one bite but not the next. The pomme frites were piping hot. Thin, crispy well-seasoned fries that's soft and creamy in the center. Well worth the $35.
Half pound of mussel ($15 vs full lb was $20). Florentine style had white wine, spinach, garlic, shallot, butter. Each mussel was pump and juicy, not overcooked or chewy. I only encountered one mussel that tasted muddy. Half a slice of grilled country bread came with the mussel and that was not definitely enough to sop up the delicious sauce.
We had to make adjustments to the beef bourguginon because there were lardon pieces in the dish and hubby had given up pork for lent. The beef short rib was so tender that it tore apart with just a light pressure on the fork. It had carrots, mushrooms, little pearl onions and fingerling potatoes. Every thing was swimming in a rich velvet brown sauce. You know this is a good French bistro when they can make a good sauce! In fact, we dipped the fries into the sauce so that the sauce didn't go to waste.
Somehow, we managed to stuff our faces with dessert. We had the crème brulee and the honey blueberry almond financiers. Creme brulee is what you imagine it to be. Creamy custard with a bruleed sugar top. One single raspberry as a garnish. The honey blueberry almond financier is an almond flavored cake with blueberries (think of a sophisticated blueberry muffin). There was a blueberry compote with a dollop of Chantilly cream on the side. I would appreciate this dessert even more if I was not so stuffed. It was not overly sweet. The compote was a little tart so it cuts the sweetness of the cake. It is a denser cake but the lightness of the Chantilly cream just made it a perfect bite.
At the end of the day, we all felt very gluttonous but man was it delicious!

Felt the French vibes walking through the door. Food was delicious, waitstaff on point! Can't wait to go back! Oh, the butter, better than Plugra!
