Great spot for some authentic Persian food . I ate there back to back days . Great service too .

Celebrated my friends birthday here. The DJ was great. The food and service were awesome. Also the atmosphere was very nice.

I come here often with family and friends and the food has always been consistently good and freshly cooked. I like that the bread is warm and toasty. Too bad they raised their prices. The waiters and waitresses are forgetful and take too long though. I had to ask for the bill 3x, water 2x…Otherwise, I give them 5 stars.

Stone Stew 1 Iranian restaurant is a hidden treasure! The service was exceptional, and the staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. They were polite, attentive, and ensured all our needs were met. The food was a revelation. The kebabs were perfectly grilled, oozing with flavors, and the portion sizes were generous. The lamb stew was a standout, cooked to perfection, and the fragrant herbs and spices made every bite a delight. The saffron ice cream for dessert was the perfect way to end our meal. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making us feel like we were dining in a Persian home. The soft lighting and traditional decor added to the charm. I can't wait to return to this restaurant and explore more of their menu. A must-visit for anyone looking for an authentic Iranian dining experience!

Some of the best Persian food I have ever had. We went on a Saturday night and did not have to wait to be seated. The food came out within minutes. Great service!

Very interesting! A small grocery store front, with a large restaurant hidden inside. Interesting decor! Mediterranean cusine, all the meats tasted quite good, lamb chops, lamb shank, chicken, and stew. Service was good too.

I decided to hold my Mom's celebration of life according to the Iranian tradition at the Stone Stew restaurant. I talked with the owner, Naseem. She promised to create an ambiance worthy of my Mom and she did not disappoint! The food, service and attention to details were top notch. I didn't have to do anything; the package she offered contained all the food items that our tradition required. I'd like to thank Naseem for the wonderful work she and her team did to celebrate my Mom's life!

Hidden behind a grocery store, today it was a little slow but service was excellent. Food was well seasoned and cooked.
* Garlic Torshie - aged pickled garlic. Loved it. Not recommended if you're looking for a 😘 kiss
* Kerman Soltani Kabob with one Koobideh and one lamb skewers. Both skewers where excellent. I preferred the lamb skewer,and the beef skewer was well seasoned.
* Shirazi Salad - crunchy cucumbers, tasty onions, tomatoes, and a nice lemon dressing
* Damavand Yogurt - thick, slightly tart, luscious yogurt with a hint of garlic
* Sholle Zard - Saffron rice pudding was great,.with slivers of almonds and cinnamon on top.
* Zoolbia & Bamieh - like a funnel cake dipped in honey and donut holes also dipped in honey

Really delicious Iranian food. I can say this is the best Iranian food in the entire California as I compare it with other visited restaurants. The price is a little bit high but definitely worth it. Highly recommended.

This kind of food is ideal for takeout in the post-covid new world. The food came out timely and the bread was wrapped separately from the others so it won't get soggy. The beef was delicious and while seasoned and the chicken was good. I also got a side salad which was really delicious. Highly recommend!

A Persian colleague turned us on to this spot for their unique 'stone stew'. You enter through the Mediterranean grocery store front. Our group of 4 had no trouble finding a table on a Thursday evening. The menu is meant to be in Persian translated to English, so it reads from back to front since Persian is read from right to left. The kebab platter is a predictably but good appetizer. I really loved the cauliflower pickle served alongside! We had a lamb stone stew which was the absolute highlight of my evening! Order it and watch the theater unfold. :) Other Persians stew were also good, though a bit oily for my liking. I'll come back for the ambiance and more helpings of that stone stew!

This place is amazing! A hidden gem. I wouldn’t have been able to find this on my own, a friend found it. We came here for stew. Had the lamb stew and koobideh to share. Koobideh was tender and juicy, you could cut it with spoon. Lamb stew was tasty. The stew gravy was amazing. The server will crush the meat, garbanzo beans etc. The stew is satisfying and filling! Would definitely go back again.

Best Persian food in San Jose area. Been coming to this place for years and the quality of the food has always been great. We usually get a Stone Stew and Kabobs and they are fairly big portions and very delicious. Make sure to get some of their delicious Mast Mooseer (shallot yogurt) with any dishes you get.
They also have a big place suitable for big parties

I can tell this will be one of (if not my favorite) places to go now! The lamb and beef were my favorites! The waiters are also really attentive and friendly and gave us so much delicious bread. The shallot dip that came with the bread was really good, too! It's a hidden gem that is best to visit if you're feeling adventurous!

Great Iranian food. The Lamb dishes are awesome. My vegetarian friends really liked the options they offered as well.

STONE STEW - how can you not order the restaurant name...

LOCATION: They moved location from saratoga site, and the ambiance is way nicer, in the sense that it is more open and brighter. This is comparison to it's old location in a dark setting within a market.

FOOD & SERVICE: From the menu, stone stew is the best dish - absolute must try. This is one of my favorite ways lamb is prepared bc it's so tender and they mash it up for you. And it goes so well with the complimentary bread, basil, and onion. Also got the kebob combo for 2 - large portions and the meat was very tender; it paired well with the shallot yogurt and chili sauce. The staff is super, super friendly. I took my parents for the first time recently, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

I will say that I have never seen this place crowded. I know a lot of people are turned away by the idea of an empty restaurant but I think of this place as a hidden gem worth trying!

Authentic Iranian food. Quality is what you'd get in Iran. The tahdig+ghormeh is top notch.

Love this place! Always come here for Dizi with my friends. They all love the food. The service is good and the food is very affordable.
