The most important aspect for me is the quality of the food. It’s ORGANIC (required for me)! I personally cannot consume soy and finding options without are few and far between. The fact that there is no corn is a bonus, as most feeds use that as a filler and it has no real nutritional value. That tells me what is in the food is what I’m looking for. My flock absolutely went bonkers after the first feeding, so that was all I needed to make the switch. The food appearance is fantastic and it smells fresh. The shipping is fast and the packaging is attractive! Last but not least, I’d prefer to spend my dollar on a family owned/operated business vs a corporation ANY day! I am personally feeding a small backyard flock. I primarily feed the Grower whole grain variety and add Grower mash in a few days a week. I have found “the one”! 😄

I had started with my new chicks with a different brand that they picked through leaving alot of dust behind but switched over to Mile Four and the girls love it. They gobble it all up. Shipping is incredibly prompt. My girls are Mile Four girls.

It took me forever to find chicken feed that was both corn and soy free because it's usually one or the other, or none at all! We came across Mile Four searching online and it's really great! The chickens love it and you can really see all of the whole grains in the feed that makes it look very fresh. My flock can be picky but they rarely ever leave any of the Mile Four feed to waste.

I will be having my 12 little chick's arriving Thursday! The Mile Four Team are extremely helpful especially to a first timer like me, taking on the ownership of chickens! They have an estimator for how much feed needed to the amount of chickens, they have other tips for you to. You have the ability to ask them questions and they seem to have the Know How! I will be trusting them for getting their Organic Feed and having their Know How!! They also do a fabulous job getting the feed delivered to your door. Thank You Mile Four!!

I was impressed by the quality of layer feed we purchased. It definitely does what it says it’s suppose to do. Harder shells, more eggs and my hens are happy, healthy and their coats are soft

My girls seem to love it! They have had the whole grain since twelve weeks and one of mine just started laying this week! 18 weeks. Haven’t tried the eggs yet but their feathers are beautiful and they are all very happy.

I'm very happy with the efficiency of my order and the quality of the products I received. For a small company (which I'm glad to support), they are very responsive, have great communication, and their shipping rivals that of Amazon. They also have a wealth of information on their site about raising/feeding chickens. As a new chicken owner, I love having one source for all of the information I need. I've been fermenting this which takes 3ish days and getting 3x more than what comes in the bag. Whole grains allow me to do this which works great and they including a fermenting guide in the box which was handy. 12/10 will buy again!

I chose the organic grower feed for my egg layers because I have roosters in the flock, extra calcium in egg layer feed can harm roosters over time. My hens love their calcium separate anyhow. I almost shied away from trying this feed because of the price, but glad that I didn't. I'm sure I will be saving money over time, plus it's the healthiest list of ingredients I have found to date. The pelleted feed has absolutely no powder to clog up feeders. With other feeds I have used, I would end up tossing about a quarter bag worth of crushed feed our flock wouldn't touch. Our flock absolutely loves Mile Four grower feed pellets, there is zero waste! I love the ingredients! This winter I will try my hand in fermenting the feed to keep it interesting for my flock, and to increase the value. I highly recommend this feed!

I recently switched to Mile Four feed from another organic, non-GMO, soy and corn free, company as Mile Four feed is a better price. I am currently transitioning my hens to this new feed and so far, so good. I ferment their feed and Mile Four feed is excellent for fermenting. I really like that Mile Four is a local company (I live in Minnesota) and that their feed is milled often. Shipping was very fast and I received my first bags the day after I placed my order. I am currently feeding grower feed and will switch to layer feed with my next order. I can't wait to get my first eggs! Thank you, Mile Four!!!

I ordered some oyster shell from Mile Four. I was so impressed! The website was elegant and easy to use; the packaging was minimal and contained no plastic; and I loved the "feel" - the box had chicken silhouettes each, with their name—it was charming and made me smile.

I have been using Mile Four feed for about a year now and am constantly impressed by the quality and customer service! If you live in MN and place an order for delivery, more often than not you will receive your order the next day, it's amazing! If you want good quality feed for your chickens, you will not be disappointed with anything from Mile Four.

We searched for quite awhile looking for a really good food for our chickens, a really long time!! I can’t tell you how many different feeds we looked at. Then we found Mile Four online. Had the right protein and the right ingredients so we tried it. Shipping to Texas is pretty steep for bird food but we’re gonna keep ordering it. Been with Mile Four for about a year and our layers love it!!! We recommend it to everyone. We’ll keep buying it, hope you will too. We think you’ll love it as much as our hens do.

Easy to pick up or very, very quick delivery. My chickens who were raised on commercial crumble love Mile Four feed. There are some slight variations (like different pea color or the super rare kernel of corn) which keeps the girls interested. Within a week our eggs were at least a few grams larger, and the YOLKS! Beautiful dark orange yellow. I finally went all in with a subscription after trying a few bags. I’m looking forward to the convenience of excellent quality chicken food without having to go to a store.
