If you need wallpaper, this store has the best selection in San Diego. There's a wall full of shelves of wallpaper books, with every imaginable style. Tables and chairs are set up in a sunny room, and browsing wallpaper books is fun. I checked out 3 books to take home and examine next to my actual walls, which is often essential. The prices are probably standard ... fancy styles are more expensive. The sales reps here such as Eddie are knowledgeable and personable. A week later, I've received half my order at my house, via Fed Ex. I'm very happy with my entire experience.

Wonderful experience. First time I visited the store was to pick a color for my bathroom. Tommy came over and asked if I needed help. I didn't think I did, but I overheard him to talking to other customers and he was very knowledgeable. I made a note of it. I finally found the color I wanted at Dixieline. I tried to ask for sample to take home, but they said they didn't have any. I am ready to paint so I called Dixieline Wednesday and asked if they could make some oil based paint for me to test in that color. They informed me they didn't carry oil based paint only flat paint and the only sold it by the gallon. After talking to him further and getting no where, I decided to go back to Sherwin Williams in LA Mesa and talk to Tommy and find a matching color. I couldn't find a matching color, but I found Tommy and he said it was easy to make the paint for me. He even showed me how he looked up the Valparaiso code for the paint of a competitor and then made a small can for $5 of satin paint. He told me he hated how rude people were to seniors. If you need paint, samples and general questions answered Tommy is your go to guy and Sherwin Williams in La Mesa is the store. Tommy loves his job and people and it shows. Avoid Dixieline.

Safe environment, very knowledgeable workers, and a range of product choices that is better than I expected. Their prices, although not the lowest, are definitely reasonable and worth it. I'll continue to come back for all my painting needs.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went in to get a gal.of paint that was originally from the frazee company that was made entirely different before they were bought out. Yet the gentleman who assisted me not only assured me he'd do his best to match it by 80-90%,but explained the whole process in brief that even a 10yr.old would understand.
To be conclusive he did better than 80,90,95...it was 100% match. And I also noticed that there wasn't a single customer who came in that was greeted and attended to properly by the other sale associates.

Great experience today at the La Mesa store. I left the store with paint that was matched and mixed, along with prepping supplies. Painted one room already and it looks great! Kevin did an excellent job helping me.

My first visit to this location was terrible, I vowed never to return. I visited on a Saturday of which happen to be the day the store had 1 staff member working, he was extremely rude and unprofessional, very irritated, kept saying he was the only one there and could only do so much, that he needed to help the gentleman in front of me and then had someone on hold, so he didn't know when he was going to get to me, because again he could only do so much. I hadn't even asked him for help yet, it was at that point that I walked right out the door and decided never to return. A few weeks later I decided to use a in home consultant and called the store to schedule, it was this call that prompted me to give the representative "Karen" I believe was her name the 5 star rating. She was completely different from the first experience, very helpful, provided great feedback and even apologized for my negative experience. My advise, don't go on Saturday's the grouch might be having a bad day and he's gonna let you know it.

Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. I took some old paint in and was helped by Michael. He patiently worked to get a color match which was a bit of a challenge due to the age of the paint containers. They offered to recycle the old paint. Very pleasant people and very pleasant experience.

I came in with a paint chip and had a custom match done. Ariella was super patient with all of my amateur questions. They eyeballed the paint finish perfectly, and the color match looks great.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff at this location.
They are also doing a great job keeping customers and employees safe during Covid.
I won't buy my paint anywhere else.

Easy to locate, and got customer service help right when I walked in. No longer will I wait in the paint line at other stores. Shopping at Sherwin Williams was a breeze with all of my paint needs under one roof!♥

First get an in home color consultation. Once that is done you will have a good idea of what you want in colors. Then go to your Sherwin-williams store and you'll love the experience of the sales people. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
