The Home Depot

This is for the Home Depot on Fairmount Avenue in San Diego. I bought a large sink too heavy to carry. I came back a few days later and picked it up. I had it loaded for me no problem. A few days later I came to look for cabinet drawer handles. I could not find a certain variety. We asked for help and a gentleman found all the necessary handles. Prices always fairly competitive. They have a return policy that I do like. Keep your receipts. But even if you don’t have the receipt just present the credit card that the purchase was made with.

Very grateful for all the exceptional help I received from Mauricio (supervisor/manager) and few other employees (sorry don’t remember the names) with the reception desk I ordered on line. I had big trouble after a handyman of Facebook marketplace built the desk wrong and basically broke some stuff and left me with half built and broken drawers desk that I didn’t know what to do with. Not to go into details, just extremely grateful for ‘extra miles’ they did!

I recently visited 5920 Fairmont Ave, San Diego, CA 92120, and the service, especially from Terry in customer service , was exceptional. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor made my experience memorable. I highly recommend this location and would give it a solid five stars.

I love Home Depot even if it’s for a quick trip! I love the garden section, I always discover a new plant or flower when I go. Also the checking out process is always super quick and the line always moves very quickly.

I had found a price match on Amazon the day after I had purchased a new stackable battery at a Home Depot in San Diego on Fairmount Ave. On the evening of February 22 a slender guy with curly blond hair from the power tool section, whose name I did not catch, sold me on the $119 battery purchase by explaining the technology and efficiency difference in the new stackable Dewalt battery line clearly and with detailed accessible language. The next morning I happened to see the same battery at a lower price on Amazon so after checking the Home Depot website, then ascertaining that it was a direct sale from Amazon and not a third-party seller, I contacted the store and asked them if they would be willing to do a price match on the battery purchase. When I called on the morning of 2/23/24 at around 8 o’clock in the and selected “speak to a manager” from the automated system, I waited no more than three rings before a person picked up and that person was Miguel who was the manager on duty at the time. I explained the situation and told him where to look it up online which he did and he told me that if I came in today or tomorrow he would be happy to do the price match for me and gave me his hours so that I didn’t arrive outside of the time when he was there, as that would be most convenient as he already was aware of the situation. As it turned out I was detained and was not able to make it in the morning during his working hours, but I happened to be driving by the store in the evening, and I stopped in to ask if they could do the price match I had spoken to Miguel about in the morning. As I walked into the main entrance of the eternally well-kept store, (which has never had anything but top-notch customer service), I was greeted by two associates who were standing near the customer service section. I told them that I was looking for a manager and a gentleman named Brian K or BK as he is known here listened to my quick explanation of my discussion with Miguel and immediately accommodated the price match, honoring Miguel’s proffered seamless customer service experience with good natured efficiency. While Home Depot has consistently been representative of what customer service should be in the modern age, employees like Miguel and BK along with the guy from the powertool section the night before who helped me understand the Dewalt technology, make the Fairmont Ave store an experience which ensures I will always be a Home Depot customer. Please let them know how great they were!

I am not sure if this was the case of me getting lucky, but my first time there was a very enjoyable experience.

All of the staff that I encountered were incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable about where things were and how to use them. I have often gone to other Home Depots and not found the staff to be quite as helpful. I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience I had there.

Always what you make of it. Found a nice new fiddle leaf plant for $30. Another in a bigger pot was $99, think I got a better deal.

I had the most incredible experience at Home Depot on Fairmont, mostly because of Marvin in flooring. He's very easy to understand and is willing to go above and beyond to help. I really enjoyed my experience because of Marvin and how patient he is.

I usually go to Genesee Home Depot and they are always really fast with curbside pickup but unfortunately they didn’t have my items. I did curbside pickup here after waiting 15 minutes and no one coming I finally went into the store to wait in the long line. Then the associate tried to give me my order without an item saying it wasn’t included in the order even after I showed her my email receipt. I’d rather pay for shipping than come here again.

***** Update. Several staff from HD contacted me after my review to apologize for my experience and offered us a discount. Today Cory, the manager at HD and Allie, a HD employee made a surprise visit to our house and hand delivered to our house a welcome HD bucket with a bunch of HD goodies and a toy for my kiddos! I wish I’d taken a picture to post. Hands down, Cory and his team are AMAZING, they truly go the extra mile (or 15 in my case) when things don’t go as planned with the customer experience.

I love Home Depot!! I actually worked there in my teens till about 20yo. It's always been a favorite store of mine. Perfect place for all your DIY projects from garden/landscape to home updates/improvements! Often times I order online for my household essentials like toilet paper, Lysol spray, dish/hand soap, laundry detergents to paper towels & trash bags! Oh & if you're a ProAcct holder & use their app, there's nifty ways to keep track of all your project spending & features like Quote making & List shopping which come in handy when it's time to submit receipts for claims or to a customer for projected work orders! ☺ I know I know I'm way to stoked on this ish 😆 like I said.. die hard fan of HD.

I have happily shopped at this store for years. Their customer service and product selection are stellar!

My parents often get soils from here and I always get what I looked for. I like the nursery area because the flowers are so beautiful and smells good.

Restrooms are a necessity that we need to demand is available to us.. East businesses can afford to provide public restrooms..

Jesus is great. Normally employees don’t like to help load carts or even pick items for online orders. Jesus made my materials pick up a breeze. Thanks and May HomeDepot hire many more employees like Jesus.

One of the more established Hpme Depot stores. Well organized and there are usually employees who can answer questions.

I would love to give a huge shout out to Cody the stores general manager. My order was running behind schedule and I went to inquire and he calmly and professionally explained to me what was going on and how he was going to help me. He effectively was able to tell me exactly when my package was going to get there and he was extremely helpful and kind making me feel a lot better having someone so helpful. I am definitely sticking to this location and wish I could give 10 stars!!! Amazing service all around.
