Great place, took awhile to pick up my firearms but this is typical with background checks and all. So no worries here. Staff at gun desk was helpful and friendly.

This Academy Sporting Goods is at Loop 410 about a mile east of I-10, just behind Discount Tire but easy to spot and park. It's a little smaller than a couple of Academies to the east and northeast, but it still has plenty of merchandise.

My mission was to find a long-sleeved men's cold weather training shirt to wear underneath my NFL J.J. Watt #99 football jersey at the Houston Texans game next week. I wanted a shirt that is light and breathable in case Houston's fall weather is mild on game day. I first checked at a nationally known sporting goods store closer to home. I didn't see a white or navy blue shirt to go with the jersey, and available long-sleeved training shirts were $44.

Academy had a pretty good selection of name-brand cold weather shirts. But because I'm wearing it under a football jersey, I don't care whether the shirt has a "swoosh" or inverted U's or not. Academy had the BCG brand of cold weather training shirt for $24. I'm happy with it, and I think it will last for years.

Beautiful shop with lots of sports items , quality of water shoes were amazing , we even purchased some sports clothing too. Staffs are extremely helpful. Separate sections are available for grilling and camping needs .

We love Academy! Always has the best selection of anything outdoors for babies to seniors.

What great service at this location! Great tips on what brands to use for specific terrain with running shoes. Great deals/sales for the holidays going on right now! Plus an updated selection for most elite running brands. Cannot wait to break these babies in the trails!!!

I came to Academy for my first ever firearms purchase. I ordered a rifle online and had it shipped to my closest store.

From the moment I arrived, Gabriel at the Sportsman's desk took care of me.

He walked me through the paperwork and answered all of my questions in a VERY polite manner. Once my background check was approved, he asked me about accessories.

He then expertly guided me to the purchase of a red dot sight and a flashlight attachment.

Gabriel made the entire purchase cycle painless and simple. I will 100% be coming back in the future to see him.

Bernardo gave us great customer service yesterday. We were looking for a specific cleat for his first year of football and he literally looked through every shelf! Even grabbed a ladder and looked on the very top where the shoes happened to be. Thank you Bernardo! We have a ver happy 8yr old now.

The staff at the Vance Jackson store in San Antonio was so wonderful and helpful! I made a phone call about exchanging a pair of boots and the associate gave me lots of info about the exchange policy. When I came in to exchange my boots, the cashier also checked the sizing and the boots in the box were the wrong size(I think a customer did that no fault on the store). My cashier then went to go get the right size for me! I really appreciated my experience here - I hope this store gets some love ♡ヾ(๑╹◡╹)ﾉ"

Pretty much everything you need for every sport. Customer service is great, always willing to help.

It's my favorite store in the wide world! Only way they could make it better is if the sold food, but that's what HEB is for! Do have one complaint...They need to answer their phones as it really saves people a trip and provides better customer service. The people in the store are always Awesome!

They usually have everything I need for hunting, fishing and shooting. The online shopping is easy as well.

A most excellent store with all quality brands and products and gadgets you will need to your heart's desire. No crowd's, fast moving paying lanes, friendly staff, very clean store all at a hand's distance away.

Very helpful, went in got out with exactly what I was looking for. Didn't even have to carry a thing. Great location, friendly vibes, will be back for more.

A good selection of Nike however the white Nike Max and the gold ones were not available in 9 w. I bought the Nike Quest.
