Cannot say enough good things about our experience here. Everyone was friendly. Old fashioned was made PERFECTLY - Manhattan was also very good. The ambiance is elegant but welcoming. Definitely give Marketplace a try on your Urban Bourbon Trail adventure. I wish I could remember our waiter/bartenders name, but he was also very kind and knowledgeable about bourbons. Experiences like this one are reasons why we continue to return to Bourbon Country.

Upscale menu in an intimate setting. We celebrated our 2-year anniversary here with escargot, pork tenderloin, duck and amazing cocktails. Perfect for a special date night!

We used the Marketplace for our Rehearsal Dinner for our wedding. At first, I got aggravated as there was a lack of communication on their part. However, despite the delay in responses, everything was figured out in time for the dinner and everything was executed exactly as we planned! The food was delicious! Several of our guests have mentioned this to me several times since the dinner. And the venue was beautiful! We rented the back patio area under the pavilion. I was a little nervous having a dinner outside in June, but it turned out to be wonderful! They were very accommodating and helpful the day of! I would definitely recommend the Marketplace for an event!

We frequent the Palace and are always looking for new restaurants to try and this was no exception; however, I tried to reserve a table in the past and they go quickly so this time when I ordered my Palace tickets I made our dinner reservations at the same time and we were not disappointed. With all the construction there was a parking advisory but since we had a 5:30 dinner reservation we were able to park very close and since the restaurant is mere steps from the Palace we opted for dessert and coffee following our meal which had us at the theater in plenty of time for the 8:00 performance. When I made the reservation I stated that one of the party was vegetarian and our menu selections reflected that request. The vegetarian had a starter of roasted vegetables and a gnocchi main dish which were excellent! The meat lover of the party enjoyed the poached egg salad on smoked salmon starter followed by lamb shank main course. We shared a pear cobbler with coffee. Everything was exceptional, even the coffee. Our server was attentive and the level of conversation was very comfortable. We are already planning our next visit.

Amazing and delicious. Go here! Skip Fourth Street Live restaurants and head here for a far superior dining experience. Marketplace has great food, excellent service and absolutely beautiful decor. The ambiance and decor are striking and modern. The outside seating is a real treat in the warmer months. I have lunch and dinner here regularly as it is a very short walk from my office. I have a lot of experience with Marketplace and I've never been disappointed with any selection on the menu. The menu changes at least seasonally. This is a locally owned restaurant and I see the owners there nearly every time I visit.

Absolute exceptional service. The atmosphere and ambiance is wonderful and relaxing. Beautiful lighting. Waiters and host, all wonderful. My partner and I came last year also for our anniversary and the chef remembered us. Our food was nothing less than perfect. I can't say enough good things about this place. I wish we had one in TN. We will drive 2 hours every year just for the experience.

The short ribs were AMAZING! Huge dinner portion so be warned but worth every bite! Brussel sprouts were great, too. Service was excellent especially with me being a single diner. I don't give out a lot of 5 star ratings but the Marketplace Restaurant deserves it!

I took my friends out to eat last Friday to marketplace and it was AMAZING! i must admit, after a major let down with the Revue ( Louisville's Rated nicest restaurant) I was hesitant in checking this place out. I'm glad i did! Unbelievably good food, breathtaking entertainment and excellent service! Food was mouthwatering; the singer had an INCREDIBLE voice and our servant made us feel like our table was the most important table in the whole restaurant! Now i am taking my extremely hard-to-please family to marketplace tomorrow. I have no doubt that they will love it!

We happened upon this quaint restaurant. We opted to sit on the patio and have a few drinks and listen to some jazz, after visiting with the hostess Missy. Missy is an amazing hostess and took extra time going over the menu with us. We will definitely be back. If you have any questions ask for Missy.

What a great experience!
We just had a phenomenal lunch here! My fiancé had a delicious juicy perfectly cooked steak with smashed fingerling potatoes that were perfectly seasoned.
I had the lobster tacos, they were awesome too! Strange to say that the most well cooked lobster I've ever eaten came in 10 dollar taco meal! But it's true. These people know what they are doing in the kitchen!
For dessert we had a chocolate orange cake with vanilla bean Gelato and candied orange peel garnish. One of the best desserts we have ever eaten. The candied orange peel was such an unexpected treat!
Our server was super attentive and treated us like million dollar tipper even though we had lunch specials.
Overall....Amazing!!!

Ok, so it was a little pricier than I anticipated, but the food was absolutely amazing. I liked the atmosphere as well. We were there for NYE so they had a special (I assume somewhat limited) menu, but my salmon was perfect.

I had my son's rehearsal dinner on November 18th. I worked with Alicia, who was very helpful and was there for the duration. We had 70 people and a lot of them were from out of town. The staff was awesome and food was outstanding. Everyone made our night very special. Thanks to all!!!

We only had drinks here but that was more than enough. We sat at the bar with Anthony as our bartender. He started off describing this incredible house drink; totally sold me! He was able to recommend a drink for any flavor profile. Every question we asked, he had an answer for. Anthony was so friendly and engaging; he encouraged us to tour the marketplace facility and gave us ideas on where to go in the city. What a friendly and refreshing face; I loved this atmosphere.

I’ve never had fried artichoke. So yummy. The spinach salad with salmon was amazing. A hot toddy on a cold day was most enjoyed. The decor and atmosphere was lovely.

Friendly woman called to us from hostess stand wishing us a good photo session, so we decided to stop and eat afterwards. Glad we did! Great vegetarian black eyed pea soup and beet/squash entree. Yum

I can't believe I've never been here. The host Julian was fabulous! The duck was superb and the hummus appetizer reminded me of Israel. Highly recommended this if you are looking for something WELL worth the money.

Absolutely fantastic. Good food is one thing (and it is good) but the awesome theme, music, extensive drink menu, professional, knowledgeable, and clean cut staff really make this place a cut above. They make you feel like a sir.

Wow, what a find! I casually selected this place while exploring downtown, and I was so happy I did! Delightful atmosphere, good food, knowledgeable wait staff, live jazz - seriously, you can't ask for more. If this was located in DC or Chicago, it would be packed, even on a rainy Wednesday evening.

Food was amazing. My waitress was lovely. And i had an amazing time. The menu is reasonably priced and had a lot of choices to pick from. Loved it.

We stopped here for lunch & a drink. It turned into an awesome afternoon of drinks & great food! We learned so much about Louisville from our awesome bartender Bryan! Don't skip this awesome spot while you are in Louisville!
