La Mesa Thrift Shop

I love is little thrift shop, bummed they have been closed since the inception of the pandemic.I makes sense, their employees were super high risk (older folks).

But when open, I would find little treasures. The pricing is usually great, sometimes you find things that are unreasonable, but I think they just don't know; but it goes both ways, sometimes you find something for $1, and it's a steal!

Cash only & small. But found a few gems here. Their baby clothes is probably the cheapest I’ve seen from any thrift store (about 50¢ per onesies with some specialities a little higher priced). Friendly staff & usually offer a bargain!

Friendly staff, not a ton of the stuff I am usually in a thrift store for (cameras/electronics/records), but they did have a few items we grabbed and had great prices on what was there. Nice place to check out when you in the area for a nice afternoon hanging out or driven by deals.

I found a very cute Two Piece Swimsuit there and a One Piece Swimsuit there also. There was one other item that I found that was very nice. It's sometimes a Hit or Miss, but for the most part, I've found a few hidden treasures there.

Darling little thrift store the staff is super sweet love them and now this is my new place to donate... All proceeds go back into the community... Thank you La Mesa thrift

El servicio es excelente. La dueña y trabajadoras son muy amables, respetuosas y siempre dispuestas a ayudar. Por lo que vi they help homeless people with clothes once a month, which talks wonderful about them.

Lots and lots of surprising stuff, incredibly reasonable prices. Nice staff.

I visited once and will not return. The woman working there was rude. The inventory was overpriced. Someone seems to think that if you label something as "vintage," you can sell it for 5 times its value. The store was crowded and uncomfortable.

Very small, high prices and no parking. Place looked cute when I did go in but wasn’t worth finding parking.

Cash only. Woman behind the counter had no interest in exchanging greetings. Very small, not much selection, and definitely on the higher priced side for a “thrift” store.

Have change with you! Parking around the building is all metered. I went inside to get some quarters and was told no. The reasoning: lots of people ask and I end up not having enough change for the day. The sign on the door says cash only. They may want to invest in a change machine if it’s a regular thing for people to ask or grab more rolls of quarters from the bank. I only came to this area to visit this thrift store and ended up not browsing as I was annoyed after that.
