Stopped in yesterday and was so glad we did!! Everyone was so nice and friendly and the store (though they say more items like produce, is coming) is stocked full of all kinds of food, frozen food, sake, snacks and fun things. We picked up a few items and will be back to try more. Loved the recommendations on the food and Sake and grabbed some Sour Cream and Onion chips that were amazing. They offer lunch items/prepared items as well and will be back to try those (the basket photo). We did see a line when we went initially but found out that is not for them- mentioning this in case anyone else pulls up and sees the line- it's for the title company- good info to have I think as we had turned around and went back later in the day. Must Visit! You will be glad you did! Can't wait to return and try out more things/ learn more and start cooking and making items at home!!

Love this place. I go mostly for the onigiri 🍙, but also get Japanese-grocery provision: miso, wasabi, materials for making sushi, red bean mochi. Very lucky to have this place near by.

This store has the sweetest staff and offers a fun shopping experience. I love the onigiri; the tuna and beef are my favorites! They also did a collab with dosa shack recently and the vegan jackfruit onigiri was awesome!!

Great place to grab a quick lunch. The rice balls 🍙 are awesome! They have a nice variety for vegetarians as well! They also have a good selection of Japanese goods. Groceries, sake, candy and a few home goods.

So cute and didn't know they had this small south store. Got to get a few gifts as well as the essentials I wanted. Also, delicious rice balls and drinks. Can't wait to go back!

My favorite place to grab a quick lunch on-the-go. Absolutely love the Bonito onigiri. Great selection for other grocery and home kitchen items.

I go to Asahi at least once every month or so. Their in house onigiri is phenomenal! I treat myself every time I have to restock on groceries.

I love ordering rice 🍙 balls here - plus the snack packaging is so cute !!! I like to buy the Japanese candy boxes because they come with a surprise sticker. The jasmine tea bottle comes with a clever hiaku on the back. Overall it’s always a fun experience shopping here!

A little konbini with lots of offerings. Considering there is no other konbini that I can think of in all the states, except Hawaii. Fresh onigiri, made to order bento and onigiri, and plenty of tough to get imports, and the staff is 💯💯💯

Asahi is my to-go rice ball store. It’s small but everything is placed conveniently so that it’s easy to find. They carry a variety of Japanese food items which can come in handy when cooking.

So many yummy choices, from ready made bento and onigiri (I could eat the karrage ones forever) to packaged noodles, snacks, and other tasty surprised to cook your favorite Japanese dishes. Don't forget to check the drink cooler for a variety of yummy drinks, especially in summer when there are a lot of peach-flavored selection.
The staff has always been very helpful, polite, and ensure I've found what I'm looking for. Don't forget to ask for a point card because you'll definitely be coming back!

Cute little shop! The people are very friendly, they are happy to make recommendations if you're looking to cook something Japanese. They have onigiri for sale as well that they make right there. They are pretty good!

Best Japanese market I know. Staff is friendly and helpful. Variety is great. Only place I know for sushi-grade Hamachi.

Beautifully curated, all imported Japanese foods and small kitchen items. Freshly prepared, pantry, and frozen items. New things come in all the time! Small but often busy w shoppers.

This is a good place. Small and a little pricey, but completely needed in this south austin neighborhood. Try to visit weekly!
