The Vinhus

I was brought here for the first time by a friend about a year and a half ago and I've gone back several times since, normally whenever I'm in Solvang. They have a great selection of wine, cheese, cured meats, crackers, chocolates, and jams. Essentially the shop is a giant charcuterie board and I love it. The lady behind the counter has always been super helpful and if the store isn't too busy, she'll actually have a good conversation with you.

The best cheese store in the world, I bought some gruyere, Provolone and manchego, they tasted absolutely great, the owners were lovely and nice to me, I'd definitely be back when I return, I look forward to try more of those delicious cheeses

I love the Vin Haus and it’s my must stop shop every time I go to Solvang. If you enjoy finding European specialties, fine cheeses and delicious imported products then you’ll love the Vin Haus. The staff is always knowledgeable and accommodating.

𝗔𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿, I must say that I actually shop at their online store using the Shop app (created by Shopify), thus my feedback will focus more on the online purchasing experience than the in-store one.

They are one of the only domestic internet merchants who offer Kalles Kaviar and other Swedish Kaviar brands at competitive prices without having to travel far. In my area, there is only one large retailer that offers it, which makes the cost of traveling there on a toll road, paying double the price, and then returning home on a toll road unjustifiable. When The Vinhus stepped in, I had no idea that I would continue to shop there for reasons other than their wide selection of goods and quick shipment. I'm glad they helped me with my cravings for such an unique delicacy thanks to their excellent customer service!

I'm really delighted to be one of their devoted clients because I know that they can satisfy my needs all year long and that they are willing to work with me to make sure I am satisfied even though I'm on the other side of the continent.

One day, I'd like to visit their physical location and see what they have to offer personally.

What a cute store. They have so many great items! Their coffee is the best selection and tastes great! They also were very helpful with picking out some great wines and gifts. Their staff was very friendly. I also will order online. It is nice to be able to get all of the items shipped to me for free without have to visit it.

Happened upon this store when wandering Solvang. It’s adorable, but that’s just the start! They’ve got a huge variety of gourmet foods and we loved exploring. Recommend grabbing a few of the “orphan” cheeses which are $1-$3 and perfect for a small cheeseboard for 2, great idea to avoid wasting off-cuts

Visited this fantastic store twice while visiting my mother in Santa Barbara. Took a trip to Solvang. Was able to sample any cheeses I was interested in and they were so very helpful in telling me about them!

Cute little shop, but don’t the size fool you; they are well stocked with almost anything that you’d want with your wine. My boyfriend and I ended up here after discovering they stocked our favorite elusive Chocolate Bar desert wine and Red Dragon cheese. The staff is always friendly and helpful too, so if you don’t see what you’re looking for, ask! They can usually get it for you.

I love this shop. Really great cheese and specialty foods selection, different wines than you'll find in most places - and long time locals who run the place know everything there is to know about Solvang. It's old school European and has that rare old world charm that the touristy shops can't quite capture.
