This is a great asset to the neighborhood. They have all the staples and really their prices are reasonable considering how much smaller they are. It's surprising what they can fit in such a little place!! The meat counter is very good and they have weekly specials. We sometimes forget about this place, but need to remember to support this great small local business.

Love Widmer's and I am not a meat eater. They carry fresh local produce and eggs and are a gracious host site for a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm share delivery. The staff is friendly and they offer free curb side pick-up! It doesn't get any better than this. Consider supporting this local gem but doing your shopping here.

Upon my first step inside the door, this quaint, wonderful store has become my “happy place.”
Don’t let the size of the store deceive you! Literally from soup to nuts - they’ve got everything that the chain guys have (if you’re vegan/vegetarian - you’ll LOVE it here!) - but it’s delivered in an atmosphere of calm, family friendliness.
The baked goods from a local patisserie are always insanely fresh and delicious.
The produce is handled with love - and it shows! There’s no searching for undamaged veg and fruits or unexpired pre-pack stuff.
It’s genuine there.
It’s peaceful.
Yeah, it’s a grocery store, but it’s a *great* little grocery store.

Went here as a kid in the early 90s to buy candy with dimes and nickels. A charming little grocer. Not a whole lot has changed. The check-out clerk told me kids still come with their loose change after school. Lots of nostalgia being at Widmer's after a 30 year gap. A bit like being in a pleasant time warp.

Convenient and friendly. They don't have everything you can get in the larger supermarkets (obviously), but they have most things you would expect at reasonable prices. Plus their meat selection is excellent. The staff are always helpful and friendly.

Great first experience with the new ownership and impressed with the conversations between the customers and the new ownership while waiting to check out about how they will adding alot of the previous stocked items as they get totally set up to speed with their program.
Very encouraged by the way their approaching the transission of this location to their system. Looks to be a great fit to taking over a former great St.Paul grocery institution.

I've been going to Widmer's my entire life. As a kid, I would spend my $2 weekly allowance on candy and ice cream sandwiches. As an adult I really appreciate shopping the fresh meat counter and am always impressed with the produce and Widmer's thoughtful sourcing of affordable local products.

After an email exchange with Lori she put me in contact with a butcher who hooked me up with a fabulous rib roast. He suggested a different cut than what I was thinking and it turned out to be the best roast I have ever made. I will certainly be ordering again!

We got two legs of lamb for a family celebration. We are New York City foodies who know our meats. The lamb was as good (or better) than Citarella, Lobell's or any other Manhattan meat emporium.

We will be buying their lamb for this year's celebration, too.

Support your local business. Widmers is the quintessential neighborhood market. They give back to their community, offer delivery services, great selection, fresh produce and meat and the staff seems more like friends than anything else. :0)

I absolutely LOVE THIS MARKET !!!!! And to have a butcher available is always nice !! The prices are very fair, staff is GREAT and if you need Organic items, they have some of that too. Great place to shop !!!

Very cute corner grocery with just about anything you might need. Very lucky to have this gem in the neighborhood.

Widmer's is close to our home so very convenient. It has a very popular meat counter and offers some types of sausage that I have never found elsewhere.

Placed a curbside order and had great service. They were able to answer all my questions and gave me several options. Wonderful staff. Highly recommend the curbside pick up.

Small neighborhood food store with produce and awesome butcher. A little spendy (for me) for big trips but we shop here whenever we can for a meat treat and/or to support the local business.
