Chico's

Love this place. Great Sales on quality merchandise. Unfortunately, going into just browse, I usually find something I can't live without. Staff always helpful and courteous.

Really like the clothing options- stylish and classy!

I always have fun seeing what good deals are on the Sale rack in the back! Their store has a high stock turnover, so items are different every week.

The Outlet stores (such as the one in Gilroy, CA) are even better, often having 40%-50% off their previous red 'sale' price, so I often come away with a whole bag of clothes for <$60.

The Chico's 'look' is fairly plain with a statement necklace and earrings, which mostly appeals to the 40+ crowd. They have many accessories in the season's colors (so as to tie your outfit together), for around $10-$50 each.

They also have many stretchy tank tops that hide the bra straps well. The tops are great for layering under a shirt or light jacket in the unpredictable California weather, which can easily go from 55° to 85° and back again on a Spring or Summer day. I own over a dozen.

Their stretchy 'Travellers' mix'n'match clothes are great for summer travelling, since they look like silk, but are as comfy as sweats, don't wrinkle, pack small, and can easily wash up in a sink and dry overnite.

FWIW The stretchy Travellers pants also fit over an External Fixator when one seriously breaks a leg (or two), which is how I originally discovered Chico's. Nothing else would comfortably and easily fit over the volleyball-sized frame bolted to my leg bone for a year. So I can highly recommend their Travellers clothes for handicapped people or those with 'devices' attached.

I am a size 1 or 2 at Chico's, instead of a Large or XL. Their Size 1 (=10/12) stretchy 4% Lycra 'So Slimming/So Lifting' cotton jeans fit through my many +/- 15 lb. weight changes. That sure saves money!

Most of their tops are kinda plain or boxy, and some jackets do not button (for windy days), which is my only complaint, but there are always gems to be found, especially in their Spa line of yoga-type wear.

Super clothes.

Tried to return pants I bought online at Folsom outlet only to find out I couldn't because they came from boutique. The staff was good about how to tell the difference. Co policy should be Chicos is Chicos. Not staff problem, company problem.

Expensive

Wow..very low on clothing.
