Wish I lived closer, this is what a bookshop should be! Great selection of books and gifts, cozy, lovely sitting area...everything I want in a bookstore. Buddy, the "owner" is my new best friend and a perfect shop puppers. Can't wait to go back and have a coffee!

Love this place. The staff is kind and attentive. The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful. And of course the books are 10/10! Also love how if they don’t have the book you’re looking for, they are so willing to order it for you so you don’t have to keep searching for it. They are literally the best

SIMPLY THE BEST! Great selection of books - they always have the new releases I’m searching for. The staff is knowledgeable and have been able to answer all my book-related questions. All time FAVORITE local bookstore. Ashley, Mandee and Rebekah are absolutely amazing. They remember their patrons and their usuals, have the best book selection and will order any book for you they don’t have. I have never had a bad experience there. If you are looking for somewhere to work, relax, drink, read, vent or just go on a feral stationary and book shopping spree this is where to go! Buddy is the best therapy dog and has made my day on a regular basis. Literally the best place to go, support independent bookstores they actually care about you! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Booktenders is wonderful! On my last visit I had a delicious nitro chai tea on tap. I love the pen I got from them, and that they’re so communicative and easy to reach. Also, for every $18.61 you spend on a book you get a star sticker and once you hit 8 you can redeem it for a pizza and drink across the street! I LOVE IT. The vibes are spot on and if you’re lucky you’ll see an adorable old pup lounging around.

Ashley is an amazing human being! Not only did she make my friend and I an outstanding cup of coffee (that cappuccino is incredible!) She was very kind and friendly to my 4 yr old niece and informed us of their book club and also gave a small tour of the shop. The back area for rental groups was especially great! Loved the store and will DEFINITELY return!

Great book store, love their loyalty club with the library cards. Had lots of new books not just the best sellers.

Delightful and knowledgeable staff, who thoroughly enjoy their customers! Both Ashley and Mandee love chatting with folks about their new favorite tomes. They've added nitro cold-brew, and nitro brewed tea, which is a special seasonal choice that is personally chosen and blended just for the shop. They have the joy of hosting guest authors often, which is a real treat to local fans. Take an afternoon and check our their awesome selections - you won't be disappointed.. Oh...did I mention you'll meet Buddy the shop dog? He's the official greeter! LOVE IT!

Cannot recommend this place enough. Fantastic array of books, knowledgeable booktenders, beer/wine/coffee that you can drink while you browse, fun stickers, novelties, and even a sweet doggo Buddy. Barboursville is incredibly lucky to have this gem of a bookshop there.

Excellent selection of local and regional authors prominently displayed. I recommend the Cotes du Rhone red wine. Owners are friendly. Say hello to Buddy the dog.

A great little bookstore with owners who love finding you your next great read. The also special ordered all the unusual stuff I love reading but have a hard time finding.

So friendly and ordered a special book set for me. Coffee was excellent. I can't wait to go back for tea.
