Mississippi Market Natural Foods Co-op

This co-op sells quality food with reasonable prices despite inflation occurring everywhere, the co-op's local offerings such as bagels from the Saint Paul Bagelry are delicious, and they even have a wide selection of drinks including North Star kombucha which is brewed in Minneapolis too which tasted great. Very impressed with my first time visit here, and I am very grateful to support a local business like this.

Sets high standards for their products and sources great local fresh produce. I appreciate their integrity and values. Absolutely lovely staff. Bonus points for having the best breakfast sandwiches in the morning!

Every time I come home from Mississippi Market and prepare a meal, I think, "I'm so blessed!" The best eggs I've ever eaten. The best cottage cheese. The best bread. The best meat--and at a great value. The best tortilla chips. The best produce . . . Everything is the best there. For example, an organic Russet potato from Whole Foods doesn't hold a candle to an organic Russet potato from Mississippi Market. I really appreciate the people who work there, the people who supply the wonderful food, and the people who volunteer on the board. Thank you, Mississippi Market!

Love this store! Friendly staff, delicious hot bar food, and fresh produce every time. I’ve been coming here for over 5 years now and never felt disappointed. Highly recommend this little grocery place.

The best. Great food, great staff, great commitment to the community. This is a true community coop. Members are shareholders and the board reports back annually at a meeting. Their goal is to get good quality food and ingredients to the people and they are very good at it. Check it out, become a member, you won't regret it!

I absolutely loved visiting this co-op. You don't need to be a member to buy anything, but if you do join, there are some great perks including 10% off coupons.
The selection is really good, local options and organic as well. I'll definitely be back!

All around quality experience. Beautiful produce. Love the bulk section, especially the fresh ground peanut butter. Grabbed a Beeler ham; so good. But the best part is that I always see someone I know.

My only gripe is the LACK of Pac-Man shapes pasta. Booooooooo! Aside from that, we have been living in the neighborhood for a few months and within the first month we became members. Great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The store is clean and the employees seem happy and as though they are enjoying themselves. Keep up the good work and we'll keep supporting you 👏 👍

Great grocery store! Prices/value vary depending on the product, but you can find some super good deals (e.g. their organic chicken breasts and local coffee prices are hard to beat). The staff are very friendly and the store is clean and well organized. They also have very good deli/hot food!

Yes... yes it costs more. Absolutely worth it. Not that much more, and hardly more at all if you're selective. You're not going to find better service. And sometimes you find the most wonderful gems. There are definitely things I only want to buy here.
If you're going to live in this community you owe it to yourself to become a member, and like I said.. shop look, be selective

Mississippi Market is a great place for organic food, and many other specialty items. And their deli is well stocked with cheeses and meats... Always enjoy the visit when I get into town.

I've been going to this Mississippi Market for years. They run an excellent store. Staff here is always friendly
and very helpful. I enjoy their sandwiches, pizza slices, and salmon cakes. I plan on continuing to go here for years!

The cheesecake bars at the co-op are phenomenal. Connie's pepperoni pizza is absolutely decadent and the crust is so irresistibly crunchy, truly one of my favorite frozen pizzas I've ever had.

Wanted a bite to eat, and even though the deli counter was closed, there was plenty of freshly prepared food, and I got 3 spring rolls, a small hunk of Brie, some fancy crackers and a a kombucha. the Kombucha was carbonated, which I was not prepared for, but everything else was great. I spent a pretty penny, actually $23.00, which was not in my budget, but I treated myself, since it was too late for anything else, unless I went with fast food. like burgers.... healthy choice won! Mississippi Market was open until 9:30! Great employee helped me check out!.

Mississippi Market has been my go-to since first discovering it over 20 yrs ago. I can always find vegetarian & vegan entree options (even during pandemic), yummy bakery items (cookies & pie today) and quality choices in beverages for the teenager. They also stock a wide variety of bread options that pleases everyone in the household

I love this store! I'm fairly new to natural foods and wellness and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about everything natural! I really appreciate this Coop opening this location. It really gives the people in this community a fighting chance at fresh sustainable food.

Excellent selection of organic and bulk foods, fresh meats and produce, awesome spice rack, great selection of teas and coffee, bulk eggs (get a discount if you bring your own carton), Earth friendly cleaning and bathroom products, deli counter and salad bar. This place has it all including memberships and dividends. What's not to love?

This is a throw back to what neighborhood grocery stores use to be like. It is mainly natural and organic foods so the pricing reflects that. If you are not looking for those items, then this probably is not the place for you. Great selection of cheeses and wonderful salads in their deli. Service can be hit or miss I think, but really no different than what you find everywhere today.

The customer service was above and beyond at the W. 7th St. store! As I walked out to my car with my purchases, I realized my coupon stash was still in my pocket. The front end workers graciously applied my coupons retroactively, which I know they didn't have to do bc it was my own error. It was so nice of them!

A three-store co-op, with full service meat and deli counters, salad and hot bars. Great seating areas so you can just pop in for a meal. I shop a lot of the co-ops and I always feel like my dollar goes the farthest here. Great staff, easy parking at East and West 7th stores.
