I recently visited the Big River Running Company branch in Manchester and I had the pleasure of being assisted by Daryl.
Her exceptional service and knowledge about shoes left a lasting impression on me.

my mom bought me a pair of Hoka to pickup here as my birthday present. She ordered an evening and the shoes were ready for pickup first thing the next day. The employee that greeted me was very friendly and got my order right away. My mom was going to ship me my present initially but she figured it was better to buy something local to my area and it worked out pretty well. Just exactly what she wanted to gift me.

I went here to get my first “real” pair of shoes. I didn’t actually know my size so they were kind enough to get me fitted. Once they got broken in, my Hoka shoes solved most of my walking problems. Be warned though, the movement of the shoe can take a bit to get used too.

I was sent to this store by my podiatrist for shoes to correct planters' facaitis . The staff was very helpful..Shoes did the job, no more pain ! Expensive shoes but definitely worked. I just purchased a 2nd pair... Will keep coming back . Great store friendly staff !

Always have had a great experience here. Right when I walk in I am greeted and given personalized attention. I got a great pair of brooks here. They were a tad too big and I was able to exchange them no problem.

Impeccable service. I shattered my heal years ago and have had pain ever since. I was properly fitted and purchased Hookas and the pain of wearing a shoe all day has diminished greatly. This store cares about their customers not just making a sale. Big positive shout out to Mimi, she took great care with my foot issues. Can't wait to get my second pair.

Very attentive staff and help getting right shoe and insert for my husband. Got a little help with discounts due to current sale and military discount. Good shoes for wide feet are expensive!

Wowl Just wow. I stopped in to pick up my bib for the Castlewood Cup 2018. Maggie the Manager came up to help me: she was insightful, helpful, considerate, and respectful of me even though I am a complete novice. When I asked about compression socks, she let me put on a loaner pair, and really listened to my thoughts- other stores will try to pressure you into buying the highest price, but the entire time, I felt like Maggie was honestly interested in helping me to be the best runner I can be.

It might sound silly, but when I go to these races, and all of the other people have nicely put together outfits... well, I feel like an amateur and not a novice. When I brought up this silly, first world concern, Maggie didn't judge me or make me feel bad. She listened, advised, and made me feel more confident in myself and my choices.

I thought I was just lucky that it was Maggie who saw me first when I walked in the door... but then I asked her to take the picture below (ignore my messy hair), and the other members of her crew just jumped right in to pose.

This atmosphere of this store is what every store wants- welcoming and encouraging. High salaries alone don't make people like going to work- good bosses, excited salespeople, and a culture of passion for the product make this experience one of my best shopping experiences.

I will continue to return to this store, and see these people, because I trust that if they say something is the best product, I don't think that they're trying to just make a sale. I feel like they are honestly trying to help me.

I've been going to BRR for years and I absolutely love it. Very knowledgeable staff. Great variety of products for runners and walkers alike.

I'm not a runner. I have bad feet and custom orthotics, and I buy quality shoes that fit well. My almost new Brooks Adrenaline are now too small with my new orthotics. 😫
My left foot is a size 9.5 and the right is a 9. Both are wide. It causes issues, believe me.
Ezra worked diligently and tirelessly to help me find the right shoe -one that accommodated my orthotics, was wide, and fit both feet without feeling too big. I must have tried 6 pair.
Although I left undecided and didn't make a purchase, it is because of Ezra's service that I will make the 45 minute drive to return. Thanks for being awesome, Ezra!!!!!

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Told them I "wanted to browse" and they left me alone to go through store and look at merchandise. Great shoe selection. Place is a little pricey but it is definitely upscale and a first class operation. They will custom fit your shoes with up to the minute technology. You cant go wrong going to Big River

Was greeted promptly upon arrival and a very polite youg man, Gus, proceeded to ask questions about my need. Measured my feet and recommended the appropriate sports walking shoes for me. They fit perfectly and after several day the ankle pain was gone.
Gus oferred us water and politely brought a chair for my wife during the fitting so she would not have to stand. High class place, great service highly recommend this place and ask for Gus.

I went to Big River Running Shoe Co, on Machester today..... not much impresses me, but I was impressed.. George was thorough and professional. I bought one pair, amazing difference!!!

I have multiple issues with my feet and ankles. When in need of new athletic shoes, Big River is the place to go. They take the time to insure your new shoes are the perfect fit. Bonus, they never try to convince you a shoe is correct, if you state that it is not!

Excellent customer care that I have not ever received buying shoes. The cost is worth the treatment. The young lady who helped me listened to all my concerns and had a better recommendation than my podiatrist.

Best shoe store in St. Louis if you are a runner. The staff is always super outgoing and will do anything to make sure your experience is perfect. I have never gotten a shoe that did not work out for me there. Always comfortable after.

They have a great selection of running shoes. I was lucky enough to have Maggie assist me with finding a new pair of running shoes. I went into Big River Running Co having no idea what I needed and knew even less how to ask for exactly what I wanted. I knew my fitness goals and I knew I needed better running shoes to accomplish them but that was about it. Alyssa was beyond amazing! She was helpful, kind, patient and very knowledgeable about all the aspects of every shoe they have. She was most concerned with getting me exactly the shoe I needed and wanted and I never felt pressured to buy. I was so impressed with the level of customer service I received! She put any other buying experience I've had elsewhere to shame. I will definitely be going back to Big River Running Co West County!!

This place does it right in terms of customer service and knowledge. It's worth every penny to come here and buy shoes from them. I've shopped here since they opened, and I just had the best experience today so I wanted to share. Our country is currently under quarantine, and I knew I needed shoes a couple weeks ago but just couldn't get there in time. They sent an email saying they were offering consultation (and this was what gave me pause to order them blindly online) which caught my eye because the last model of my favorite shoe was a dud. So Mike (U. City manager) talked me through my options and we were able to pick a pair based on my buying history. They said it would be delivered this afternoon and that's exactly what happened. I've worn a hole in the inner heel of my other shoes so I was so pleased that they dropped them off right on my porch! It just doesn't get any better than that. I'll never go anywhere else.
