Penzeys Spices

I always enjoy a visit to the Penzey's Spices stores since the closest to my home is about 40 minutes away so it was great to be able to visit when we visited our friends in Clayton, MO. As with other Penzey's locations, this location is packed with spices and dried herbs. Quality is amazing as always and the folks working here were helpful and friendly. We what's buy too much and this trip was no exception. Stop in if you're nearby.

Parking isn't easy, but there's plenty across the street. The store itself is beautiful and smells amazing. Their product is unique and well priced. Staff seems nice.

I had a great experience with curbside pickup at Penzeys in Maplewood. They've really got it figured out. I shopped on their very user-friendly website, identified Maplewood as the store where I would pick up, and paid online. Shortly thereafter, I got a call from the Maplewood store to schedule my pick-up time. They bagged my order and left it in a crate outside their front door for me to pick up. It was completely safe and contact-free. I'm thrilled that I can continue to easily purchase my favorite spices. I am now stocked up on everything I need for the holiday season. Thanks for a superior product and great experience, Penzeys!

Great, well-organized spice shop that always has what I am looking for. Fresh spices and friendly staff.

The staff were so very kind and helpful. They were especially gracious with my elderly mother. Fantastic variety of herbs and spices. One of our favorite stops.

the blends they have created are nice and there are often deals and freebies that are gifts with purchase
the employees are knowledgeable and helpful as well
spices are also alphabetical so makes it easy to look and see

Amazing selection. Most spices have a jar so you can smell them. If you can't find it anywhere else, you can find it here.

This is a great store in a nicely accessible location with other shopping, including a major grocery store, in the same block. The team is polite, professional, and invariably helpful, and the spices, while not inexpensive, are worth it.

Love this store and their spices! Great prices and lots of selection! Their gift boxes make great gifts that I bought to give away at Christmas. They have great promotions too that allow us to try out different spices. We love you so much we come to you from IL, but their website and magazine are great too & very informative!

I rely a lot of Penzeys to get spices that grocery stores that don't offer. It's layout makes finding what I need easy and the ladies who work there are amazing at helping us find what we cannot. The custom spices they offer are great for making flavorful dishes and really make an impact in spicing up dull food. I especially love their hot chocolate.

Penzeys is a gorgeous, well-stocked shop with pleasant, helpful employees. Unusual blends for the spice aficionado, excellent basics for the beginner. Jars of every spice and blend are available for you to open and sniff, which you absolutely should. Parking is scarce out front, but there's a large parking lot around back with a door into the shop. I love it here, and you will too.

I shop here for the politics. Ha! I like quality spices, too. Such a great store layout, staff is friendly, I adore the peppercorns, dried shallots, toasted onion....mmmm!

Penzeys is amazing! My loyalty started with a hot chocolate mix that was gifted to me for Christmas and I've been hooked ever since. I am not crazy about cooking but their spice blends lead me to try new things.
I consider the emails to be an added bonus of political education. I would have never imagined a spice company to be so vocal.

High quality goods, friendly staff. They had juniper berries and other oddities we needed to make our own orange bitters. Expect to pay more than the grocery store, but for better spices. There are decent deals if you sign up for their email list.

They have everything here, unfortunately we only get to make it here once or twice a year so we load up...great place if you love to cook

Hard finding parking, but store is great.

You can never go wrong with any of their spices- always the highest quality and best flavor. They frequently have sales and giveaways as well. I also love how the owner connects the reason of sales/giveaways to movements like PRIDE, women's rights, world allies, etc.- an outspoken liberal shop that I will happily support!

Penzeys is always fabulous. Right now they are doing curbside pick up. You buy online or over the phone. Tell them what day and time to pick up. And they will have your bag on a shelf outside. It's pay in advance. You can also have shipped to you. I have never had a penzeys order not show, or be incorrect. Fabulous spices and blends. Double strength vanilla is beautiful and worth every penny.

Total time from when I placed my online order until my curbside pickup was ready was about two hours. ON THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING - which has got to be one of the busiest days of the year for them.

I really appreciate the prompt service. It's a shame that we can't shop inside right now, but understandable due to the circumstances. Everything was just as neatly packaged as it would have been if I had been inside, though.

I visited after a friend had told me about Penzey's and boy did I pick a day. It was a giveaway day and the store was super crowded but the staff was very pleasant and greeted every customer warmly. I went back again a couple of weeks later and I had a pleasant visit again. I love their spices and will definitely go back because I love the message behind their business.
