Roses Discount Store

Yesterday I had a pleasant shopping experience. I visited Roses on Western Blvd. Sure, on the outside it's a bit old... and it's awning needs a new coat of paint... but inside... it's a customer's store!!
I admit I am a bit old fashioned. But customer service, a friendly smile, and a great variety of products still mean something to me. Even more so is the volume of products I found with "Made in USA" stamped on them!!
Products were neatly displayed, and WOW!! what great choices for Christmas gifts! Twice I was asked if I could use any assistance finding anything... and once I actually needed that assistance and was highly appreciative.
It wasn't a cattle call inside. I actually got to enjoy shopping and looking for ideas.
No six million cameras making me feel guilty if I picked something up to look at before I decided to put it in the cart.
No person standing over me at the door treating me as if I were a shoplifter after paying for my items and heading out the door.
No automated cashiers making me ring up my own products and bagging them, to services I as the customer am not compensated for....
Instead, fully staffed registers, with a clerk, who actually smiled and thanked me for shopping!!! I LIKE THAT!!
Prices throughout the store are extremely reasonable, and I found in several cases actually cheaper than the larger big box stores.
Don't get me wrong... I realize we need all of them... the big box, the medium retailer, and the mom and pops. I just enjoy the medium sized retailer and the mom and pops more, and realize that more manpower means better service and more jobs in a community. I've never been a fan of automated tellers.
But then again, I grew up in the 1960's when customer service, and a real cashier, and properly displayed merchandise meant something to the consumer. Thank You Rose's for a very positive shopping experience. JM

Roses Department store has been around for like almost a century. The staff is friendly and helpful. It seems their affordable prices and loyal patrons keep them a profitable business. It's one of the remaining local small Department stores still around. I like its merchandise. I'm a bit bias because I used to go there as a child with my mom in the 70's. I hope their here many more years and I hope they generate more jobs and can afford to remodel their stores one day soon.

Love the prices and found things I needed around the house . Plastic container sets were both under $5 plus tax and after multiple tries at different stores to find a drain plug that would not let the water leak out I found the exact one for our sink.

Ample parking and a great selection of products, Can't beat the prices and you also have to say something about at the employs when you leave a package behind and they hold it for you and put your name on it so that you can come back and pick it up another day wow thank you very much ladies bless you all..

Great prices and always have sales going on. Good place for the kiddo closes, toys, and school stuff 🙂 The plants they get in are amazing I have a rose bush that has been growing for many years now..

I have to keep myself away from this store for the simple fact that I always find a great deal! I love seeing what shoes come in me and my daughter. Lots of toys to choose from. Nice electronics. You'll always find something you will love!

I love roses! They have amazing stuff for Greeley great cheaper prices but the stuff isn't cheap I bought in my son so many clothes because he's at that age where he gets them dirty so fast and I can buy him so many cute outfits there without breaking my budget I can also get myself some cute shorts or pants or maybe like a pair of shoes and they just have all types of really awesome adorable and amazing household decor and different household products that I love! Also they are really beautiful furniture. Everything that is my style but everyone has a different style and I really love a lot of their stuff and that the prices are so great and the staff is always so helpful and so sweet especially the cashiers!

A few steps above Dollar General but better prices than Big Lots. I always find what I am looking for here and always cheaper prices than elsewhere.

Example: Redecorated my kitchen for UNDER $125. That included two rugs (2×3 & 5×7) , 5 sets curtains, 4 rods, 2 dish towel sets, and a set of glasses, oh and a full size decorative wall clock.

I've always had a great time at this place. Employees are sweet, customers are great . If I have any difficulty, someone was always there to help me no matter what my attitude is . Great store , wonderful people.

This store reminds me of the old Woolworths or J.J. Newberry stores that I would go to as a kid. The prices are great and the staff is very helpful. I especially like the fact that they carry women's dresses which many places do not lately. They carry everything from pet care to home care to clothing.

Open 8am-9pm.
It's hit or miss on items you can buy but the prices are great. The staff is very friendly. The store is pretty clean. The bathroom is always disgusting.

Beautiful and unique clothing, shoes, accessories and home decor at cheap prices. The associates are always friendly and wave when I walk in. The atmosphere is soothing. I shop here often!

Excellent prices and a huge store. You van find just about anything here you will need, but it will not be name brand. This store can keep it's pricing low because you are no longer paying for the brand....

Love the sales, just wish they had more register's open and a sign saying they cash people out at customer service instead of people having to guess or ask, but if anyone wonders, they do cash out and do returns at the customer service representative. Polite workers there as well!!

I always can find a deal in Roses. Roses used to be one of the great department stores and has been around longer than me. I am starting to see some of these older gems close and I feel loss in my heart. Things change and life keeps moving forward. I just hope this Roses will stick around for a while.

I love this store. They have lay a way and a huge selection. It's like if Wal-Mart had a baby with a dollar store and that baby was raised by it's grandma with love and enough spankins that it knows how to act.

Great store, can get pretty much anything here, clothes, shoes, food, accessories, makeup, perfume, home supplies, animal foods and supplies and so much more for low prices. Overall great experiences everytime!
