Plato's Closet - Jacksonville, NC

Plato's is an excellent thrift store! They have a very wide selection of lightly used clothes, instead of tons of clothes that look trashed to sort through, and so many cute options. I was especially impressed at their selection of women's shoes. My teenage daughter is usually so picky and can't find anything she likes when shopping for clothes, but she chose several really flattering outfits and it only cost $83. Besides affordability, there are so many great environmental reasons to shop second hand when possible, and Plato's is the best option we've found for that in Jacksonville.

I got 3 pairs of Lululemon for $51 dollars and I will also be going there again the employees are so nice and friendly to be around

I went to Plato's Closet not knowing what to expect, needless to say, I was AMAZED. The store was super clean and smelled amazing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Natalia and Andria went above and beyond to make sure me and my mom were happy with our experience. Thank you ladies! Can't wait to visit Plato's Closet in Jacksonville, NC again!!!

Like goodwill except everything is way nicer and cleaner. Best thrift store to shop for clothes hands down.

I found this store online. It turned out to be better than I thought. The store was clean and the staff were friendly. The best part was the store arrangement and their dressing rooms. Which made it easier to find everything I needed and more.

This is THE best store the city of Jacksonville has added since Hot Topic!! My daughter is a teenager now and when she outgrows her clothes it is devastation on my wallet!!! Not any more because of Plato's Closet! 😍 Went again today because my daughter needed some jean shorts. The store is SO well ORGANIZED we went straight to the shorts section, picked out several pair, tried them on and took our selection to the register. In and out. I loved the price being less than $30 and my daughter loves her 4 new pair of jean shorts. We will be back!!! And we do tell friends about this place. AND they have stuff for boys too!! Gotta check it out.

I love the concept of this store. You have consignment stores for adult clothing and Once A Child for the babies and toddlers ... finally there is something for the older children and teenagers. Girls and Boys! The selection is huge! The prices are competitive. The clothing and shoes and bags etc are all in good condition. They are trendy clothing that your teenager is sure to like. They offer special deals and have sales. Nice size store. We have already become regular shoppers.

I have been losing alot of weight as of late, and it's been hard to keep myself in decent sized clothes. The clothing selection is wonderful, you can find literally everything you are looking for!!! They offer decent payout for the clothing but don't expect to get rich. The service that the ladies of this store provide is absolute top notch they are all friendly and happy to help if you have a question. I highly recommend if you are looking to redo your wardrobe that you stop by and give them a shot. Ask for Jenessa, she is the absolute best!!!!

This is one of the best Platos closets I've ever been to. The girls are super sweet and very helpful. I see a lot of people complaining that they may be too picky but I like that they have such a nice selection and don't buy the stuff with stains and that aren't in style. If you are looking for nice clothes on a budget this is your place to go!

Have been here 100 times. Always find a ton of stuff. The staff has always been super helpful. Went there for a Halloween outfit and the girls spent what seemed like forever with me to find just the perfect outfit on my budget. I have not tried to sell anything yet.

Very clean & organized store! As soon as you walk in you get greeted by the sweetest people! So friendly!!! They tell you the deals of the day and if you’re selling they clearing tell you what to expect! Definitely coming again and telling all my friends!

All of the employees were so polite and helpful! The store was well organized and had a large variety of very good quality clothing. I will definitely be going back!

I found the store to very clean, well organized, and staffed with very friendly sales associates. I especially commemd your sales associate for politely handling a very rude customer who was VERY upset you passed on his items. Since I was checking out I had the "privilege" of seeing what you were returning and IT WAS NASTY. Your sales associate stayed professional despite his rudeness and continued to explain what you were looking for when you buy. He was clueless and so nasty to your team that I wanted to say something to him! Keep up the good work and keep passing on things I, and MANY others, would NEVER BUY! Again, staff was completely professional and I was impressed with their knowledge and friendliness!

This store has grown in leaps and bounds since it opened. They have tons of clothes and shoes for young men and women. All in good condition and all name brand. The only downside is this is geared for the younger generation. There are no children's clothes and no plus sizes. There are shoes and purses!

Walked away with the cutest boots ever, however for a thrift store it was a little bit more $ spent than the usual. Their clothes did have the trendy and more modern styles which I can see why a pair of boots will be a bit more expensive but I never spent 10$ on a thrift store item which sorta made the visit bittersweet.
