Family Fare Supermarket

At the time I think it was called Prevoe's. I can remember riding our bikes here, as youngsters, to pick up maple syrup on a cool Sunday morning. It also used to be where my mom would rent me the scariest movie ever: Benji the Hunted.

Please forgive my reminiscing.

It's a great place to go for a quick grocery trip. It will have most, if not all you need, and you'll save a bunch of time.

Great little store that has most everything.... quick in and out... sometimes I hate....no! All the time I hate going into those huge stores. And they are in the heart of downtown

Great selection of items not just food they have lots of different things

This is the neighborhood store. Its clean, and they have the friendliest employees that make a point to make you feel at home. You can definitely tell that the managers take interest in the employees just by their attitudes. I love being able to request items in departments talking with the departments and being highly satisfied with fresh product. I bring my cart inside just to help some and an employee greets me thanking me as they wipe my cart down. I like this security they provide protecting customers in this pandemic. This is my store of choice.

This is my local neighborhood market. Convenient, well-stocked, and great variety. I especially love the roasted chicken from the deli.

Excellent service and great selection

I’m a daily shopper here. Love the friendly staff and quality of their products. Also for the area I live in all the other grocery stores are jammed packed. Family fare seems to just be steady at most days

The store normally has what I'm after. It's a relatively older store and clean. It's not too busy on any given day.i usually use the self checkout and don't interact with the staff too often. They have an okay selection of local wines. They also sell underground cheesecake factory cheesecakes. We found these frozen.

I love a store you can get in and out of quickly! Family Fare had everything I was looking for and thier self check out was fast and worked!

The layout and signage in the store was visible and made it easy to find what I needed. I like shopping here when I have to make quick runs from work and there's always something good in the deli that I can grab for lunch!

Very nice people,,faithful and very good store something you want to check out,a little town thats a must see ,and next door. Is another awesome place called Big Fish.My brothers store,Joseph the owner is from Isreal and his family will be in the new World least of us, and in orld with me for 1000 years truly truly as I am the last of this generation One who was the least of us,and made the greatest of us in 2012

Farm to Freezer local product's

We ordered two 2 foot subs & a small veggie platter for a family gathering on Christmas Eve. Normally, a potluck meal. With the busyness & schedule siblings were voicing several of us thought this was the way to go. It worked out great. Both, the Italian & American, subs were delicious! Staff on the phone & when I pick them up were so very helpful. Answered all my questions. Polite & professional! Thank you Family Fare on Eight Street.

A great little Family Fare supermarket. It may not have every brand of every product, but they probably have what you need without having to drive a long way, park in a massive parking lot, and scour isle after isle.

Great selection good prices, helpful friendly staff. Great deli selection! Fresh produce, and great quality meat selection. I would recommend to everyone to shop here!

Great staff and a great selection of products considering the store size. I love that I can walk from one end to the other in less than 5min. You can tell that everyone there works hard and cares about the store and each other, it's even in the name. Keep up the good work guys!

I was there an hour before close. This is the usual time I visit this grocery store. The employees Micheal and Louis are very friendly and helpful. This store has the feel of the small town grocery store I went to as a child.

Family Fare is nice to have as a close by place to pick up needed items. I have used it numerous times for a quick trip when I've poured cereal into a bowl and realized we ran out of milk the night before. It is on the pricy side compared to other local stores, but much needed. I'd rate this place as a true 4.5 due to the premiums, but since it needs to be on a solid number scale, I don't mind rounding up to 5. :)

Smaller grocery store pack with as many items as possible.

My favorite grocery store in Traverse City. Small friendly store that offers a pleasent selection of groceries. If you are looking for local, gourmet, or just a pantry item they will most likely have what you are looking for. Also, they offer delicious fried chicken!
