Tom's Food Market

12/14/23- I stopped by because I like to visit the local grocery store when I travel. Tom's did not let me down.
The store has an aisle dedicated to Michigan made merchandise. Honey, drinks, jams, salsas, peanut butter and lots of good foods. You'll also find souvenirs with a few clothing items.
I had fun and the employees were great. Except the old lady stocking the Michigan shelf because I was taking pictures 😁
I also check the candy bar and chips section. That's where I found these Cherry Bbq chips. They taste like cherry with a little bit of bbq. If you like cherries I would try these. I don't like cherries 🍒 that much but these are good.
The store isn't crowded and I think it is because although they have self checkout they have plenty of cashiers for those who still like people. I was impressed. Friendly staff and the prices are reasonable to the other grocery stores. If I lived here I would shop here.

We have condo near hear and it makes it easy to get what we need for the week say in Traverse City

Tom's Market staff are cordial and always ready to assist a customer. They have a good selection of local wines and spirits. We enjoyed our shopping experience there.

I have always been so happy with my experience here but felt that I needed to acknowledge my recent one. I placed a pickup order for after work last Monday and ended up having a medical emergency landing me in the ER that evening. Despite being unable to pick it up until today, Tom's kept in touch with me and making sure the groceries were still fresh, they also gave me a $25 gift card with a note saying they hope I'm feeling better. Considering their compassion for the members of our community, I would highly encourage you to support Tom's East Bay. 😀

Do my larger shopping trip a bit further drive but love it when I can get a hankerin' for something even at 9:30 pm and go to a quiet, very clean store and get a few items and leave with money still in my pocket and have shared a smile and wishes for a good night with an employee just prior to closing! That is a good experience.

Really nice produce. Great local grocery. Usually find everything I'm looking for, as they always seem to have much better stocked shelves than the big chains. Don't know why more people don't go here instead of Meijer! Much better experience all the way around.

Came into get floor polish .asked a lady where it was she said aisle 13 .was able to use self check out .but each lane was busy with check outs but staff was moving customers threw fast. Store was clean .beautiful flowers just arrived out front but no pricing signs yet .

Great news, Farm to Freezer product's are stocked up

Tom's market is a fully sufficient Grocery store that doesn't want to overwhelm you with far too many choices
It has several choices in each of the areas of the store, but doesn't have 200 feet of four tiered shelving for cereal. I popped in to find some items for our dinner and was on my way again in ten minutes. That's how I like to shop for food!

I like to shop this Tom's because it's one of the smaller grocery stores in town.

It's always easy to get in and out of quickly if you're just wanting to pick up a few things or even if you're doing grocery shopping it's just a lot easier to navigate than a Meijer.

can return is really easy here because the machines are at the front of the store.

Excellent market! It has everything you need. What I like the most is the fact that a lot of local food from local farmers are showcased and available for purchase.

The produce section is really great. They have an interesting variety of International Foods and the staff is always really helpful. The self-checkout Lanes help things move really quickly and they sell sushi!

Awesome place to pick up moomer's ice cream. Great place to pick up provisions if you're staying at the state park you can walk or bike It's not that far.

Local store with every grocery item you could want. Fresh meats and veggies. Fast/clean bottle returns.

They have the most awesome mini bagel bread bar. Cranberry orange or mixed fruit. Like a bagel but in a mini loaf. Gotta try it. But they go fast. In bakery section!

Tom's is taking COVID-19 seriously. EVERYONE is wearing masks that fit, and they're wearing them properly when they're all alone(I didn't see a single stocker with a dangling mask, all the noses and chins were fully covered, and the masks fit properly). The cashiers actually actively disinfect their lane, and enforce social distancing. Masks are available at the front desk for non-masked peeps, and the masks are enforced.

Outside of Meijers at 11pm or curbside delivery, this seems like the safest way to get some quick groceries.

Great selection of meat, good selection of quality produce, and a generous wine selection. Great prices and a very knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Started shopping here because they offer a variety of Michigan made brands. Nice staff. Don't have to bag my own groceries :)

Best place for fresh groceries. Their homemade subs are great to grab for a bite while roaming around the peninsula in wine country or out on the boat for the day 👍
