SKATE 618

My daughter & I came in today and had a wonderful experience. She's 11 and wants to learn how to skate, but I don't know the first thing about it. The young man working today was wonderful & so friendly. We ended up buying her first board and she's thrilled. He gave us excellent advice & info on gear/boards as well as parks in the area. Thank you for making this a non-intimidating experience for both of us! We'll be back for any future purchases for sure.

Extremely helpful staff. I only went in with a vague notion of what I wanted. The owner went the extra mile to get me what I needed even going as far as to install and show me how to maintain the bearings I purchased. If you are a skater or just want to get into skating or even if you have a little one that shows interest I highly recommend stopping here.

Great staff! I just got my first pro fingerboard deck with shark wheels and I’m completely stoked with how it looks and rides 1000/10 I recommend this place, coolest store in Illinois!!

Always excellent response anytime having to contact them, i just recently bought a pair of blackriver trucks and the axle snapped, not even 15 minutes later of finding out my issue the owner already had a new order with my replacement hanger for me. Great shop great people

Skate618 is the place to go for that sweet new setup!!! Colin the owner hooked me up and even showed me some other new products I didn’t know I needed, also made by small businesses!!!

While in the store I got to watch the owner educate a younger skater on the proper wheel set up and how to place the washers, not a customer just a skater in need, it was awesome to see!!

I was in the market for a skateboard for my son and stopped by here to see what they had. Colin assisted me from the moment I had walked in until I left. His knowledge of the products that he sells was incredible. He asked many questions that I wouldn’t have even thought of asking. I wish I would’ve had these questions asked to me when I bought mine many many years ago. I probably would’ve continued and not given up in frustration. He explained everything throughly and stressed why certain features were important for my son. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I will definitely be back to buy things like curb wax, bearings and future decks. We are lucky to have a shop like this in Edwardsville.

I just bought my 4th deck from this shop since they’ve opened and I will be back again and again. The owner is incredibly nice and helpful. My taste in boards is pretty specific and they always have what I want. They even ship quick if I can’t make it over to the store. Support the local!
