Mid's Candy & Gifts

Grew up on New Germany road. Chocolate from Mid’s was always my mom’s treat to us. She specifically loved the chocolate covered cherries. My wife and I met here and moved to Colorado 20 years ago. We still regularly return to Mid’s for chocolate. My wife loves the chocolate covered pretzels and peanut butter melties. We spend lots of time in Europe and often compare the fancier European chocolates to Mid’s. And Mid’s rarely loses. Hidden gem here!!!

Absolutely excellent and worth every penny! Without a doubt if you're in the area worth a stop. The glorious aroma when you walk in is worth the trip alone. Nothing but high quality. It's also a gift shop but I strictly go for the chocolate. I've been to master chocolatiers in this country (there are seven), Mid's is right up there.

The best chocolatier of this sort in the US. Skip the truffles and head right for the make your own assortment options. We routinely drive from Pittsburgh just to buy their chocolate.

We love a chance to stop at Mid’s Candies! I enjoy the small-town feel and supporting a local business. Mid and her staff are kind and helpful but the chocolate is unmatched! There are lots of choices and the taste and quality is fantastic! We highly recommend it!

I have lived in Florida for 20 years now....but grew up eating Mid's Candy....

NOTHING is better than Mid's. I recently ordered a variety of amazing chocolates. I was not disappointed in any way. It was packaged in a styrofoam box with plenty of bubble wrap and an ice pack. The ice pack was still very cold, not frozen (which was fine by me).

My chocolate came in one piece and it was NOT melted. Temp today was in the high 70s.

Excellent high quality and delicious
chocolates!!! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Large selection of candy and chocolates year round with a large season selection for Christmas and Easter especially. Products are always very fresh and sold with reasonable prices. Also a niceselection of sugar free and gluten free chocolates. Located close to Rt 22 immediately following Ebensburg. Highly recommended!

I bought a box of chocolates and am savoring each one like a jewel. I bought my husband a bag of chocolate almonds, and he is just raving. The sugar free dark chocolate marshmallow eggs were luscious, and I couldn't tell that it was sugar free at all!

We've been enjoying Mid's candy for almost 30 yrs. The absolute best. There are 4 other candy makers within our driving distance and we always choose Mid's!! I think they put some addictive drug in the candy ( lol) just kidding folks. But it is the absolute best and so is Mrs. Mid :) No one has ever been disappointed and I know a lot of people that go there. My gift list is getting easier. Just buy Mid's!

I love Mid's Candy! (And this is coming from someone who grew up very close to Hershey) The taste of their chocolate, you can just tell the quality of it is so much better than any store bought candy. My husband and I actually had Mid's make our thank yous for our wedding and everyone raved about how good they were. They also have a nice gift area and lots of neat gift/toy ideas for kids as well!

Some of the best chocolate I’ve had. Unfortunately, don’t get it nearly as much as I would like. Wonderful gift for people, including yourself.
