Edge of the Woods Market

This is the coolest supermarket ever. I'm shook it's kinda an outer world experience. Everyone should come see it. It's so cute with the decorations and the woodsy feelings. I absolutely love it! The shop with the clothes upstairs is cool too. And the books and all the different items you wouldn't normally find In a supermarket. Their bakery is also amazing !!! I've had the best cupcakes of my life their. The apple cupcakes are wonderful!!! Can't wait to come back. Explore the upstairs too. The staff is also nice. My one feedback is it's also expensive similar to whole foods. But the quality is there for sure.

I ordered and picked up a carrot cake (non vegan version) yesterday and I have to tell you, it was incredibly delicious! My first time at the store and can’t wait to go back to explore more items!

I used to come here when I lived in New Haven! What a joy. Haven’t lived in CT in several years but this market just popped into my mind. Brought a smile to my face just remembering the really really early stages of my health journey. Thank you for being a place of not only fresh food but mind expansion. I would spend hours in there just reading about the vitamins, supplements, health foods, etc.! Really a wonderful time!

Best health food store in New Haven. They have everything you could possibly want and all the best fresh organic products! They also have an adorable thrift shop and cafe. It makes me happy to be in there 😊

Absolutely adore Edge of the Woods Market! My favourite place to get groceries in New Haven! Lots of great healthy options for vegans/vegetarians, and everything at an affordable price!

I used to live a block away and this was my goto place for so many different things. Although l no longer live near by I still try to get here as often as possible. The sandwiches and smoothies are the best. The bakery is incredible! (Best Carrot cake! 🥕🍰) I have actually been eating from the Buffet at least twice a week and I love it. I only ask when will you be making the Pot Pie? This was my favorite and have not seen it for some time now. The staff is so welcoming and the energy of this shop is so amazing. It is not your typical supermarket. ❤

This store has been around forever before Health food stores were even popular. It’s fantastic for herbal remedies, vitamins and fresh vegetables— most of which are locally grown. It’s a great place plus it has fresh cooked food to go and a fine bakery!! A winner.

I came here to get vegan cupcakes for a birthday (and I don’t particularly like vegan items), they were absolutely amazing! WOW. These are better than some of non-vegan ones that I’ve had at a famous DC cupcake bakery. Bravo!

Cute store, love the products offered and that they have a bakery, prepared foods section and they also make fresh smoothies and juices. I ordered the Jamie's Monkey smoothie and added blueberries, I even got some extra leftovers in a separate cup...very nice surprise. Now for that delicious apple pie, piece of heaven cupcake...well pure heaven and neither the frosting or cake itself was too sweet, it was perfect, hands-down the best cupcake I've ever had. Haven't tried the cream cheese brownie yet but if it follows in the steps of that cupcake I won't be disappointed.

Love shopping here, coming from Denver this is a haven for things I need. The place does look a old building: just gives it more character. Love the selection and prices that are sometime better than Whole Foods. The people are so friendly and nice. Love the hot bar as well, and the bakery you can’t compare the freshness. 🍞🥖🧁🍰🥧

This is the best local market. They have a variety of items and most that you’re not able to find in other locations. The staff is always friendly and professional. Their seamos gel is house made. They call me every time they get it in which is so convenient and a way to provide a differentiated experience. I would recommend everyone to go visit and see for yourself.

My favorite health food store! Love the produce, the vitamin shop upstairs and the peanut butter machine! Derek in grocery is helpful and orders food items by request. Nathan and Peter always have a smile and make me feel welcome on every visit. The juice bar is great! A wide range of juices for different health treatments and always fresh! The bakery offers many gluten-free and vegan products. The bulk food selection is extensive and the prices are overall reasonable. 🫶

When I told a friend i was having difficulty buying a variety of whole foods and organic veggies, nuts, herbs. etc.
She said go to "the Edge" the edge of the woods market on Whally Ave New Haven. Today I can say this is my new number 1 grocery store👌👍
Dense packed amazing variety and they had every item on my eccentric list including ingredients in Ralph Moss' mushroom soup 🙄👌.

This has been my go to as it's the only strictly vegetarian health food store. I often eat their hot and cold prepared foods when busy. It's a good place to get lucnch without dealing with wait staff. There's so much vegan food and the prices aren't bad as far as natural foods markets go in the area.

Absolutely love Edge. Great selection of all kinds of fresh and packaged foods. Their juice bar and bakery are fantastic as well. The store aesthetics could use a refreshing change. Otherwise, they are a local institution that shouldn’t be missed.

Stopped by Edge of the Woods on our way back home to Boston. Love shopping at little local stores like this to buy from markets that support the local farmers. Great find!

Love this store! It's so hard to find food that fits my vegan plant based lifestyle but when I'm in town i can always count on Edge of the Woods!. From the amazing food bar, tasty smoothies, fresh produce and snacks, this is the ONLY Store I shop

I went to the little boutique upstairs & found some angel charms & I bought a dragon fruit for less than a dollar they're usually $4-5

Consistently awesome! When I can’t find something anywhere else, I always find it at EOW. Amazing how they offer such great variety and value. And always treat shoppers respectfully. Always a pleasure and worth going out of my way for.

We recently had Edge of The Woods cater the hors-d'oeuvres for our outdoor wedding. From beginning to end Julie was amazing to work with. The vegan wraps and finger foods were delicious and the presentation was lovely. Our guests raved about them. We also ordered a variety of the vegan cupcakes which were a real crowd pleaser. I can't thank Julie and Edge of The Woods Market enough for adding to the wonderfulness of the day!
