Real bookstore vibes. Was able to pick up my next journal (the most pages yet), the updated copy of the book I had finished, was pointed in the direction of the next book to read (it’s so good!) and have natural interactions with fellow shoppers. More of these please. ☺☔

The book I wanted wouldn't make it from Amazon on time but I was able to search the Books Inc inventory on their website, drive down and pick it up. The store is cozy, the staff are helpful and if you need a book they are worth a visit.

Local bookstore needs support. Very good collection. Classified as new fiction, non fiction, young adult and many other common categories.

Local bookstore with incredible variety, friendly helpful staff and great finds! Books by local authors. The children's section is spectacular. Children's storytime every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

*Edit 4/24 today I discovered that Books Inc has a free gift wrap area for customers to use. It's a wrap it yourself station but they have scissors, tape, ribbon, and paper.

Many nice books for children

Even in the era of Amazon and digital library access, when we come to Palo Alto for a medical appointment, we plan the trip to include a stop here. Books Inc. has a well-curated selection, and we like the hand written reviews they put up. When we went on Sunday, Dec 11, the store was shoulder to shoulder and too packed to shop in! We left, but we will be back next time. Shopping there is like talking with That One Friend who always has a great suggestion for what to read next.

It had a very nice and calming atmosphere like being in a nice and warm coffee shop. It had a fairly good amount of graphic novels. It also had some cool book related trinkets.

Great bookstore in a really nice shopping complex. Try to stop here whenever I am going by the area. They have a great selection of cookbooks and always have something local or interesting highlighted at the checkout stand.

My friend and I go here after we had our choice of meal in the area. It's a small bookstore but it has all of the books that I want to buy and or check out. It's conveniently next to a coffee shop so you'll be able to have a sip of coffee while reading.

Fun shop with fun people who are happy to chat about books. You can find all your staples, but also some uncommon ones like the Miyazaki art book. The kids selection in the back is super fun and colorful

Many places have lost their independent bookstores but Palo Alto has managed to keep this excellent one, staffed by friendly book lovers, with a wide ranging selection, naturally curated to match the local literature aficionados. I hope the store survives for a long time.

I especially enjoy browsing and reading staff reviews. A treasure trove of carefully curated books, puzzles, and gifts with a very friendly staff. We're lucky to have this wonderful local shop!

Always an incredible selection of books. I javelin been coming here got many years and the past year their Spanish children’s book selection has grown a ton. So happy with this little store 🥲

Very helpful staff - had a nice chat about book recommendations and had some good suggestions of where I could sell some used books in the area though they don't buy used books here. Enjoy their staff recommendation cards.

This bookstore has a fantastic collection, and the guys working there are incredibly well-read, intelligent, and simply wonderful people to meet. I will most certainly be making this spot my go-to for years to come!

With help from the great staff, found just what I was after. So glad there's still a brick and mortal bookstore close by!

Walked in didn't browse because that would be dangerous but knew what I wanted for my daughter, told the gentlemen what my daughter's preferences were and they introduced me to two books and my daughter is thrilled by them. One was science fiction which I didn't think she would care for and the other a thriller which she decided to read after the science fiction one. Go figure! Lovely place to get lost in!

Found this place after shortly moving the area and instantly loved it. I am used to chain book stores and it was nice to find something that wasn't a Barnes and Noble. The selection was modern and up to date with a wide range of interests for any ready. I will definitely be spending a lot of time here.
