I've been shopping at Country Sun for years! I just love poking around the aisles, always finding something new and unique! They offer a wide variety of gluten-free, vegetarian, & vegan options along with high quality body care and supplements. It's such a bright and cheery store with amazing staff providing the best customer service. This is the type of store where staff members will remember your name. Support your independent and local stores! 🙌🏼

Literally the best wholesome place! I love them so much ! I needed bread desperately but came before they opened. They went out of their way to hand me a few loaves. It was so compassionate and helpful. Thank you Country Sun for being an amazing charming neighborhood grocery store

They have likely lost shoppers due to the street being closed off during covid. Most days we can park in the currently vacant neighboring building’s parking lot, but if not there is fairly convenient parking in all directions.

They have an amazing variety of products in a well stocked store with knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Admittedly some items may be cheaper elsewhere, but imagine their rent! And the cost to keep their friendly staff coming to work.

The staff at Country Sun tops anyone else for their knowledge of vitamins and supplements. In particular a shout out to Kevin. Their depth of knowledge of the pros and cons of different brands exceeds anything I have ever found.

Kevin, the vitamin buyer is stellar. He is down to earth and personable, a really nice guy and really knows his stuff. He has thorough, detailed and technical knowledge of supplements. That's rare. I went in there cold, without doing any research ahead of time. He was a big help to me finding the right products for my needs. Yes, the store is small but they have devoted a third of it to supplements and have a good selection. They have great sales and if it's not on the shelf they can order it for you. I recommend them highly.

In 1977 in ,palo alto,CA. A small fruit stand on the el Camino. country sun was just nothing but a orchard produce organic stand in barron Park neighborhood. Run by a bunch of hippies. They saved up money 💰. Wen to low rent direct of Palo alto open real market. Been there for years and years. Great product, good price, good service.

Love this place! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options that are hard to find anywhere else, and staff are super friendly and helpful.

Lots of unique finds here that I can’t get at other places. Reminds me of the health food stores I used to visit as a kid, with actual health food—not just the stuff with slick marketing.

Love the CBD products too, and there is a great Keurig machine with organic coffees that taste pretty great! Always a treat to stop by.

I love to stop by at Country Sun every Sunday to buy things I cannot find at the farmer's market or Whole Foods. They have a great selection of everything from fresh foods, to groceries, to bulk items, to body/supplements, and hard to find items like raw milk, raw kefir, coconut yogurt and sprouted seeds and nuts. Everything is always fresh, and the customer service is the best - I always see and interact with the same kind employees who go above and beyond to provide a great customer experience.

Very friendly and good service neighborhood store. Has most complete spice collection I can't find in other store. Prices of the fresh product are even cheaper than the farmers market outside. Seniors get 10% discount on Wed and Sun.

This store is the most eco-friendly store I found in Palo Alto area. As an environmentalist, I have always been searching for zero-waste stores where you can bring your own jar to get spices, shampoo and etc. They also offer many containers and food storage to help you get rid of plastic and glass waste. I really appreciate their concept:)

When my local health food store went out of business due to The Vitamin Shoppe opening a block away, I was devastated. The owner recommended a couple of locations for me to be able to find the items I take to stay healthy. Country Sun was one of them. What a gift!! I miss my local store immensely, yet out of this loss I found a store with a huge variety of items I can't find anyplace else. I love the selection! Everyone is extremely helpful and will place special orders for items they don't normally carry.

After frequenting Country Sun for over twenty years, they are still my all-time favorite grocery store. I absolutely love everything about the place.

Fresh fruit and vegetables and their sandwiches are good too. I get our raw goat milk here in quart size but they do carry pints. Staff very helpful and they will contact me with any questions I may have about products. Yup my go to store.

Shopping local means supporting your neighbours and people in your community! I love this store for all my vegan gluten-free needs. Great organic produce selection too. Nice and fresh.

This store has been here forever. Great place to get herbal needs. Lots of vegan products. Small store, but there's so much in it.

The best grocery in the Bay Area. You can even find local honey here, great for allergies. You can't even find local honey at whole foods. They also have a great selection of cold drinks. There's this one energy drink I'm obsessed with

I hadn't been to Country Sun in years. It has come a long way, offering beautiful produce, quick lunches and snacks and even has a microwave. Staff is super friendly. I will be back to support this local business!

I've been shopping at Country Sun since 1982. I do the bulk of my shopping here. I shop Whole Foods on the rare occasion that they have something CSun does not or when I can't make it before they close. If you live anywhere near this store and you give a damn about the food you eat and where it comes from, you want to shop here. The level of integrity of this establishment is incomparable. Unlike Whole Foods or New Leaf, they don't have the ready to eat buffet so don't expect that.
