168 Asian Mart

On a whim, my bestie and I decided to pop in to 168 Asian Mart, and I am so glad we did! They literally have EVERYTHING!

Aisle upon aisle of sauces and herbs and dried mushrooms... sweets and cookies... some of the most beautiful produce I've seen... and variety! So fantastic!

Their gadgets aisle is a veritable wonderland of useful and beautiful items. The dipping bowls, Ramen bowls, and other dishware are exquisite.

Prices are fantastic!

This being our first visit, we didn't purchase any meats or seafood, but they're was a huge variety and it all looked super fresh.

I love that I can find things there that I can't find anywhere else, especially herbs and sauces. FRESH LEMONGRASS!!!

Come for the large, cheap vegetables, stay for the enormous selection of quality Asian food!

I really cannot say enough good things about 168 Asian Mart! I started shopping here as a way to start experiencing hotpot at home with traditional Asian ingredients, but the more I shop here, the more new, delicious foods I discover.

The vegetables are large, cheap and great quality. That section of the store is always busy, but always well stocked too! It's almost paradoxical, but despite the business I always am able to find the veggies I need.

Then there's the dry foods section. You can get an enormous bag of dried mushrooms for bargain! Those are great to have on hand to spruce up any soup or whatever. They have a great selection of noodles too. I recommend the fresh belt noodles by the tofu. Last time I went, it was the only thing I was looking for that I couldn't find. Must be popular...!

The fresh fish and seafood area is so well stocked I don't know where to begin. Live tilapia, sushi grade salmon, fillets of all kinds. I only wish I knew how better to prepare fish. I will have to find a good Asian recipe.

Not only does 168 Asian Mart have excellent food selection, but they also have some cookware and utensils. I ended up getting a bamboo steamer basket from here and ever since, the steamed pork buns have been a household favorite. I cannot recommend those steamed buns enough!!! They are just past the vegetable aisle on the bottom shelf of the chiller.

The glutinous rice balls with sesame were so savory and good the last time I got them. These can also be prepared in a steamer basket.

Hot pot also has a dedicated section. I love hotpot because it brings everyone together to eat and it's dead simple to prepare. Always have some king oysters for your hotpot, and get an assortment of the fish balls! Just be warned, some of the hotpot stocks are quite spicy for someone not accustomed to Asian cooking, so if your family is not a family of spiceaholics, you may want to stick to the mild or unspiced variants.

Please try this place out. It's a great way to experience other culture's culinary tastes, and it's not expensive at all.

Great vegetable and fresh selection. Good bakery section. Aisles are a little confusing but they have plenty of ingredients for many cultures (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc).
There is a relatively new section of vegan/vegetarian frozen foods that always has something interesting and new. A good selection of frozen vegetable buns.

Lots of different varieties. Reasonably priced. Many kinds of prepared ready to go foods/pasteries. Fresh live fish. The market is a bit old but clean. Shelves are stock well. Convenient parking. Somewhat less expensive than H-Mart.

Great selection of produce, meat, and Asian snacks and desserts. Has a food court with all you can eat hot pot. Staff was friendly and lines moved fairly quick

Great Selection, decent prices, and quality food. Finally got a chance to stop in here... From the moment I walked in I was completely overwhelmed by the size of the place. Everything was clean and organized to the point where it was effortless to find what I needed. The backed goods area was full of all kinds of Asian Staples that I have never tried before. I would suggest anything wrapped around a hot dog. 😄 The restaurant area in the baked had everything you could ever want, from the usual well known dishes to complete ducks and pigs. I specifically cam In for the live lobster which are at an amazing price. I can't wait to come back to try some of there frozen goods, ice cream. And the best cheesecake in the world.

As a seafood fan, it’s the best place to find many live seafood, blue crab, King crab,Live fish, Eel and mussels, Food court is great, NO tipping😬

We were looking for herbal products, teas in particular. However, there was only one person to assist us. She was very helpful. The variety of teas was extensive.

Best food court in Michigan. Authentic Chinese food. They will even cook your fish and / or shellfish you buy at the fishmarket there. You just choose how you like it prepared. They have authentic chinese BBQ. Only have seen it in China Towns in big cities. Highly recommend. Have been going here for years!

Went in looking for dumplings and fish roe found everything I was looking for and some great store helpful staff well marked lanes in Asian and English lots of international foods,fresh and frozen meatsand fish,seafood produce and dry goods,even household items.I will definitely be returning totally loved it!!!

If you’re looking to entertain guest with an Asian dish in mind, I know just the place.168 Market has a huge selection of the finest Asian produce as well as a great selection of dinning accessories from tea pots to cutlery 5 Stars, An amazing array of fruits and vegetables and seriously the biggest Asian pears I’ve ever seen. A massive collection of teas and spices 5 Stars, and for those daring to walk on the wild side frozen water bugs. I’m not sure what dish they would complement but if you’re adventurous have at it. Fresh sea food which you which you can purchase and have prepared on site. A sit in cafe as well as pastry counter including mini macaroons. Easy to maneuver isles and friendly faces. 5 Stars for overall content of selection and variety.

This place is an absolute gem.
They could move into a space twice the size and fill it out just fine.
They have an amazing variety of items. They have a fantastic produce selection, that is surprisingly reasonably priced, a bakery, the seafood selection has enough live anminals they give the aquarium at great lakes crossing a run. Same with their meat dept, lots of exotics but the staples are still reasonable. They have an aisle of just soup bowls. The place is amazing and always busy. Parking is ample. And precovid they had a restaurant in there. They also have a deal where Fuji Buffet will cook up your groceries into a meal for additional cost. If you like Asian food or just looking to mix it up, i can't recommend this place highly enough

This is an awesome place to get all the East Asian food you want in Michigan! It has a wide variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean foods and cuisines. There is a place there where you can sit at a booth and eat your food. They have a helpful staff as well. It has lots of tasty exotic fruit such as durian, jackfruit, rambutan, lychee, longan, dragonfruit, guava, cherimoya, sugar apple, mamey sapote, mangosteen, and winter melon.

We drive 40 minutes several times a year just to go to this store. They have so much authentic Asian food and other things for sale here. It's a great place for fresh or frozen seafood and meats that you won't find at any other store.

This place is really nice now I came in right when they were getting ready to open and they took my order which was a carry out. And was very professional and had really good service skills. Food was really good still hot one I got home. I will be going back here and referring people to this place.

WOW this place has it all. Very hard to find items, like certain mushrooms. It is a fun place to browse all the food you never heard of, and try different recipes with.

I appreciate the insane variety this place offers they import a ton of asain products that are unique to most Americans, they have a hot food court and sell fresh fish! Most tofu I have ever seen.

The premier and most extensive Chinese grocery store in Michigan. It presents a wide array of Chinese groceries, including vegetables, goods, food items, and bakery products. The standout feature is the food court, serving authentic Chinese cuisine at an affordable price and with quick service.

It's one of my favorite places to stock up on food. Definitely recommended.
