Trader Joe's

The best supermarket in Manhattan for it's price vs quality. They sell almost everything from fruits and vegetables, bread, meats, frozen goods, pasta, cheese, pastries, chips and dips, can goods, salads, cookies, flowers, pet food and accessories, oils, vitamins and minerals, milk, yogurt, butter, etc etc etc. Very highly recommended place if you are trying to save money but having a decent quality groceries.

One of the busier Trader Joe’s I have been to especially on a weekend evening.
I had no idea there was a TJ around Union Square. It’s pretty much like most TJ they have great selection of sauces and frozen food. Not a large selection of meat and seafood but enough to get by.

Like oasis in the middle of bedlam, Trader Joe’s offers all the products they are famous fo at the same prices you’ll find in small-town America - without hiking up the prices like almost every other establishment does in New York City. Get your peanut butter Joe-Joes or your Mandarin Orange chicken for the same price that your Aunt Sue pays in Wichita, and expect a lot of crowd and long cashier lines - but it’s definitely worth the trip!!

The staff is kind, patient, and very polite.
Even the customers are nice, the most peaceful supermarket!
There are so many gluten-free items, new snacks, cookies, and more.
I wish We had a Trader Joe's uptown or Bronx!

One of the better Tjs in the city. Has the feel of an older store with the red floors! This store is well stocked and not as busy as some of the other city stores at the time of day I shopped there. The friendliness and helpful you expect at TJs was met and exceeded here! Definitely made the “Joe’s trip” feel like easier than normal for the grocery run with no time waiting on checkout. Everything was fresh and to standard. Great TJ’s! Check them out for your next grocery trip 😎

I live in East Harlem but this Trader Joe's, some 100 blocks south of me is my local supermarket. I have a few theories about the practices of this magnificent shopping emporium. They do a great job hiding the unhealthy food and will only hire you if you treat every customer discreetly like royalty. Not happy with a prior purchase? Your attending clerk will ring a large, brass, wall-mounted ship's bell and your purchase will be credited by a roving supervisor, no questions asked. You will be asked whether you had found everything you were looking for "today?" Well, truthfully, not always, but why dampen the enthusiasm? If you crave fresh fruits and vegetables and healthy salads and sandwiches, this is the place for you. I always compliment the clerk standing on the platform directing the stream of single file customers to numbered cashiers. "Nothing ever happens around here without you!" They smile knowingly. Marvelous!

Excellent Store near 3 minutes Metro 14 street, the store has discounts and good prices, lower than in Walgreens for example. Discounted drinks, eggs $2-3, bread 🥖 $2-5, drinks $1-3. Have a great summer and good mood in the amazing New York that never sleeps 🗽

Ok, so basically, Trader Joe’s is my go-to store for groceries because they have great prices and deals, high quality food, and very kind and helpful staff that will help you find your food. Trader Joe’s also has a very wide variety and selection of your food of choice, so you will always have a lot of options.
Highly recommended. The best grocery store in all of New York City.

One of my favorite Trader Joe's locations. The staff is always kind, helpful, and patient and the store is just the right size (not too big or small!). Best to go early in the morning when the bread is freshest and while the shelves are still stocked. Products go fast and half the store is sometimes depleted by closing time thanks to the high foot traffic.

Their latest hours are 8 am - 9 pm, as of May 2023.

(Not sure if I'm mistaken, but I think they used to open at 6 am, pre-Covid.)

Super clean! If you go after work the shelves are almost empty!! The line is super long! Whenever you go!! They have good variety of affordable food!!! Has always been my favorite grocery store

TJs is pretty great. And I'm always impressed how you can be on line behind 30 people and get out in under 5 minutes. The absolute opposite of Whole Foods, in pretty much every way.

A great store all the store employees are friendly and very helpful affordable prices interesting new products great quality I highly recommend going shopping at Trader Joe's you won't regret it! one of my new favorite foods is the chicken fried rice so good taste just like take out and one of my favorite snacks are the chocolate covered espresso beans! only $1very tasty and it will give you a little energy kick too so go buy a couple of packs and soon your find your own favorite items too!

Shout out to our cashier Howard, who was very knowledgeable about experimental music. A friendly fellow who lifted our spirits on a very rainy day in September. Every Trader Joe's should have at least one Howard. 👑

Love going to Trader Joe's. Always lots of goodies to find. Very helpful staff, I really appreciate them. Didn't take any photos, maybe next time.

EXCEPTIONAL VIBE Well you know trader Joe's is great and all Trader Joe's are great in some way but this one was outstanding today and I got lucky checkout counter number 12. So if you're lucky you will get him too, and have a great conversation, as I did. But I did notice that everyone was super duper polite which is always the case but this is a standout location at least from what I observed and I just saw tons of people laughing so the best way for workers and people to live well is to unite, have fun, laugh and celebrate. This place is amazing.

Had a unfortunate situation where one of my air refresher opened and damage my entire groceries I call and explained. The coustomer service manager was so understanding and replaced all items. Now thats great coustomer service TRADER JOES union Square I truly appreciate your continued services to the community.

Decently stocked, fair prices for a midtown grocery store! Stay clear of pre bagged fruits as the one I purchased was forced ripened with no flavour at all and soft! Lines are efficiently managed

I have been shopping at Trader Joe's for many years, and I have always been impressed with the quality of the products and the overall shopping experience.

One of the things I love most about Trader Joe's is the wide variety of products that they offer. There is something for everyone at Trader Joe's, from fresh produce to frozen foods to prepared meals. I also appreciate the fact that Trader Joe's is always coming out with new and innovative products. I have found some of my favorite foods at Trader Joe's, including the Everything But the Bagel Seasoning, the Cauliflower Gnocchi, and the Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups.
