This place is a gem! I work remotely and this is one of my favorite places to grab a coffee and focus on work for a couple hours. It can get busy depending on bookclubs and Fridays tend to be extra busy, but I have yet not been able to find a spot to sit.

I've attended two of the book clubs, both had over 20 people in attendance- this would be my only con as you really don't get a chance to know other attendees because there are too many people. Overall it's a great place, lattes are on point, it's normally mostly quiet, wifi is great, book selection has all the top sellers, and it's nice that everything is local. 10/10 would recommend stopping by.

My first visit here lasted 8 hours. A friend and I befriended another customer and one of the employees, to the point where we are connected on social media and share recommendations. I've been back a few times now, despite living about 50 minutes away.

The events here are fun! The book selection is impressive for a small indie bookstore! And the food/drink is delicious!

Consider me a regular, Stacks!

Stacks Book Club is one of the most special businesses in Oro Valley. Not only are their staff some of the kindest people I’ve ever met (Hello, do you see that cutie little cartoon they made of me!? It sits proudly at my desk), but they also are bringing access to local businesses from Tucson into Oro Valley. Just about everything sold at Stacks is local, including their alcoholic drinks. The food and coffee is fantastic, but what truly sets Stacks apart is their heart for community. They have clear goals of equity, empathy, and creating a welcoming space for all. You can find fun events there from book club to permanent jewelry to author meet and greets to getting tattoos! I am a proud supporter of Stacks and will continue to buy all my books locally with them!! 🩷

The obsession I have with this little bookstore & its cafe is exponential. My favorite spot to visit in Southern AZ. Highly recommend for a relaxing afternoon! They also have the BEST events. Getting tattooed in a bookstore? Priceless. ❤👏

I went in early in the morning, they were so nice and had some of the best coffee I’ve had in Oro valley. They offer a flight of coffee which is so cool! Although it’s not a library full of books, they have a fantastic selection with suggestions spread throughout. Highly recommend, such a great addition to the valley. (Oh and their logo is adorable)

They have a great atmosphere from all the books you could want, food and drinks. I love how I can get coffee or wine and then get a local sweet treat too. They also have other cute items too! They have so many cozy places to read and during the year they hold fun events.

This place is a gem. It's the cutest indie bookstore+ cafe with immaculate vibes. Their drinks are always fantastic (I've literally never had a better chai latte - I like mine with maple, the lotus drinks are also so much fun.), they have local baked goods from Bubbes Bagels, Cals Bake Shop, and Prep+ Pastry on weekends. Lots of vegan and gluten free options!

The selection of books is pretty good, and you can always ask for an order! No doubt you'll find something you're interested in. If you're not sure, pick up one of the staff picks for a discussion group!

Crispin created Stacks to be a community space, and after feeling lonely as a new Tucson resident, I started attending book clubs and visiting the store regularly and have made some really amazing, beautiful friends. I'm telling you, the energy in this place is full of love and magic.

So come! Meet up for wine and a chat with a friend, set up and work for a while, find your next favorite read, enjoy the atmosphere, make some friends, attend the events. I'm a Stacks fan for life.

I’m so excited about finding this coffee shop and bookstore combo near to me. I live in OV and up until now we didn’t have a coffee shop that would be open after 2pm. I’m not a fan of Starbucks coffee and I prefer local businesses.
It has a nice atmosphere, the music playing is not intrusive, they have a good selection of books to browse. I liked my latte and the prices are comparable to other coffee shops on town.
I’ll be visiting this place often for sure!

My mom saw a post on a Facebook about Stacks, so we decided to head over for a Spring flight. It was delicious! We loved all of them.

The atmosphere was lovely with couches and comfy chairs. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great place!

Went for a cold refresh after a hot, sunny hike in nearby Catalina state park. There were several Lotus options (caffeine added refreshers) at a decent price ($5). Highly recommend the POG lotus drink, which was a blend of refreshing passion fruit and guava. The sunrise lotus drink was also gorgeous to look at, also with passion fruit flavors.

I met a friend and client at Stacks yesterday. I’m so excited to have an independent book store in OV. And the coffee bar is a nice addition too. And they sell beers and wine as well. Looks like our next book club has a new place to check out.

Can express just how great this place is. Not only is it a really cool concept with the books and modern cafe, the coffees and matchas are very special. You can watch and see just how much they care about ever drink they make. Highlights include Brown sugar sage shaken espresso and lavender chai. Pastries also can't be skipped. Sourced from the best Tucson has to offer (sometimes even prep and pastry). Will return tomorrow and everytime I come to town. Bravo.

This is an amazing little independent bookstore with comfy couches and delicious fresh sparkling juices that are so refreshing in these hot summer months (among the other standard coffee shop beverages and snacks which they also have!). I don’t live in Arizona, but I plan to be a regular here every time I’m in town visiting my family. Such a gem to Oro Valley!

Came in for the first time and this place is a delight! My latte was absolutely delicious, staff was friendly, the atmosphere is laid back and welcoming. The book selection was fantastic, and I'm thrilled to see several of my favorite books and authors that aren't very commonly found in smaller bookstores. I will absolutely be back.

**UPDATE**

It’s been a couple months and I can confirm they have improved immensely and the coffee is delicious. I’ve returned to my love for black coffee, as is, and they’re drip brew is medium bodied and delicious - to me anyway. My husband loved his oatmilk latte. Well done.🙌🏻🫶🏻

We’ve been waiting for them to open - a hip coffee spot with comfy seating and notable books. 4 out of 5 stars because they need to work on the latte foam using oat milk. It was tasty tho.

What a fun place! Great selection of curated books and games, plenty of cozy seating and wonderful cafe with great coffees and treats. It’s a perfect spot to relax and read or visit with a friend over coffee. Go check it out! You’re sure to love it!

There’s a reason this place is always packed! Great aesthetics, ambience, and drinks. I think they will outgrow this building very soon.

Top 3 best cappuccino in Tucson, consistent. The cappuccino is rich, perfect temp, smooth and velvety. Some places make them too watery or milky, but the one here has a perfect balance of bitterness. It’s a like a hug for your tastebuds! I also like all of the events they have here, waiting for another shot at the open mic story telling.

Great staff that knows what they are doing. It’s nice to have an alternative to Starbucks on this side of town.

Stopped here with family and got iced coffee and a cronut. Pretty delicious and nice atmosphere. It was packed and almost every seat taken. Great spot.

What a gem for Oro Valley! The place is bustling with lovely locals, great coffee, and the smell of books all around. It can get a little busy at times, but when it's not, it's such a nice place to sit, relax, sip coffee and read a good book. My dream would be for this place to expand and open another location in Tucson! 🤞
