Sun Wing Katy Supermarket

I was looking for a good Asian grocery store besides H-Mart. I randomly came across Sun Wing Katy Supermarket. It is a very well organized neat and clean Supermarket. The best thing I like about it is that they have labeled almost every item in English as well. Not only that, most of their items, if not all, have ingredients listed in English which was super helpful. I found their prices to be very reasonable. They have a great variety of seafood. Some people mentioned in their review that they were welcomed by a bad smell as soon as they entered the store. However, when I went there, even their seafood department had no smell.
This is my new go-to place for Asian grocery.

Great to see another Chinese supermarket open in Katy. This market has great products and price. Everything is clean and fresh. They often have great deals for vegetable, meat and seafood. For local people they offer prepaid card which will save you extra money if you fill 500 a time. Like it. I hope they can open some eat-in food bars like Ranch 99.

Yes I have been visited this market 4 years ago. And then they suddenly shut down till now. But good news! The market is reopened. The small market on Mason road with a lot of interesting stuffs. Clean and new. Items are put in order. The cashier is nice and welcome. The customer service is a bit not well in speaking english. I hope they will open longer and longer this time.

Relatively small to medium size Chinese Supermarket. Not the same size as a typical H-Mart or 99 Ranch, or even Hong Kong City Mall or Viet Hoa but it does offer mostly the same things you’d be looking for. For the handful of times that we’ve been here, it’s been pretty much empty, so that’s always a bonus when you just want to run in and grab your things and go in a hurry. Plenty of parking of course, because of what has been stated about it being not crowded or busy, ever. Overall, not too shabby.

Grand Opening!!! Not sure how long it's been open but it does have a fully stocked store, complete with produce, fresh meats, noodles of all types, teas, sauces and seasonings, frozen delights, etc. Prices are pretty good from what I saw.

I wish this supermarket was closer to me. They have very good prices. When we're in the area we'll stop by to get some seafood and vegetables.

New Assian Market in Katy. Good price and less crowded than 99ranch. They also offer variety of high-quality seafoods: lobters, crab, oyster...

The best place to make any type of Asian food is this place I love it. I learned how to make spring rolls pho soup. It’s amazing so I recommend it.

I don't see how someone can justify leaving a one star comment when the review has nothing to do with products or services provided by said business. You even indicated yourself that they're not yet opened and that they have publicly display signs for lease? So what was your review for?! Kudos to the management team for their friendly and courteous response.

Our family came by the newly opened Katy Supermarket today for their second day grand opening. Lots of fresh produce and seafood that cannot be found at other stores like H-Mart or 99 Ranch. We will definitely be coming back often to support this business.

Oh, and yes, we had driven by a few times before and too was disappointed that they were not ready to open.

This is a great market. I lived closed to downtown but every time I visit my relatives in Katy, I always stop by. They have great products at very good price. And their produce section is really good. Highly recommended!

So glad this place opened up! This supermarket has a variety of different fresh Asian produce, meat, seafood and not to mention sooo many varieties of snacks and drinks that remind me of my childhood. They have a lot of fresh Chinese veggies too which is hard to find in Katy! Love that it’s in a convenient location as well

Great grocery store, worth a visit. If you're interested in how this compares to 99 ranch and Hmart, this grocery store definitely caters to Chinese groceries, even more so than 99 ranch. It's also a bit cleaner and well designed than 99 ranch. The seafood here is also better than 99 ranch and hmart, with a much larger selection of fish, shellfish, etc. I will definitely come here when I am looking for certain things.

Like this newly open asian supermarket very much. Better than the two that had opened and closed in the recent few years. Store is clean, food is fresh. The seafood section is excellent!! It is worth visiting and I will definitely come back for more.

Their Seafood prices are much less expensive than all of their competitors in town. For eg: we need to pay only $39 per pound for live king crab, but $60 or above from other stores like Great Wall in China town. For live lobster, we need to pay less than $10 per pound which you can't even get it from Boston area during the lobster harving season. I hope that they can do more marketing to tell their potential customers how great their products are......As a whole, it's a great Asian Supermarket...
