What a great pastrami sandwich. Great pickles and Cole slaw. My only complaint is that it’s take out only because I can barely wait to get it home to eat it and I live about 6 miles away. Bonus: ind cans of diet cream soda.

I ordered a pound of pastrami to take home. They packed in up and said $19. I said no way, that's way too much for Pastrami.
Then he let me taste it.
I'd have paid $19 just to taste it again. We are so so lucky to have something of this quality in PGH.
Looking at the rest of their products you can tell they really care about what they do and what they sell you. Everything is top quality, from the butter to the honey.
I won't just come back, I'm bringing a sleeping bag and moving in.

Great sandwiches. There is a pound of meat on these. It is takeout only. The area is very busy. It might be different to find parking at times.

The best corned beef and pastrami sandwiches in Pittsburgh. Each sandwich is enough for 2 meals. Don't forget that you also get the biggest pickle you have ever seen. My wife and I ate these sandwiches for 2 days, simply delicious. While waiting for your sandwiches browse the store for their pure local honey, hot rod honey and another one of my favorites, their mustards. They also have tons of other specialty items such as Penn State ice cream, Middleswarth Chips, and much much more. Squirrel Hill Market is a destination you must try!

Wow, I’m shocked, shocked I say, to see a less than 5-star review for this establishment and their sandwiches. It’s like some yinzer visited the Louvre Museum in Paris to see the Mona Lisa and then leaves a 2-star review because the woman captured in the painting didn’t smile big enough to please them. The folks at Squirrel Hill Market craft the most authentic corned beef and pastrami sandwiches in a 500-mile radius, and they do it with a smile that would makes the Mona Lisa blush. Just shaddup!

Great new York style pastrami sandwich! Really liked it. Wish they offered a coarser rye but overall very good. Nice lady runs it. They should get a little table for the sidewalk so people could eat there easier!

Remember Piesanski's on Murray? Carnegie Deli? Arties? (Of course in NY) This pastrami sandwich was delicious and could feed two people. The pickle was huge and the potato latke (more like a potato pie) was also good. Next to try is the Reuben. This little deli is a great addition to Squirrel Hill food choices!

So delicious! One sandwich can feed a small village! The Matzo ball soup was just what the dr ordered… I’m feeling better already!

Great little market with a surprising variety of staples and niche items. A little smaller since they moved, but still a sweet place. Love the hot grilled reuben sandwiches and knishes!

yay! SHM now has amazing pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. They may seem pricey, but one sandwich will feed two! Look forward to the addition of salads, lox, bagels!!!

Wanna add i just had the moist incredible Reuben and latkes at the Market’s new location. Finally, the deli is back in Squirrel Hill.

Came for my honey and left with gourmet fixings for dinner. They got the good stuff and are delivering it all. It’s like a good boutique!

It was my second time in Pittsburgh and decided to try out the pastrami sandwiches from here. Absolutely amazing, paired with their spicy mustard... delicious.

Fantastic market with grade A products at affordable prices. Delicious deli foods made as you watch. Worth a trip to the city just to stop in and shop here.
