Food Lion

It's a little bit more expensive than places like walmart, but it's also more convenient as it's one of the only grocery stores directly in the neighborhood. There's always plenty of people working if you need help finding something, the cashiers are friendly, and the lines move quickly.

I like this location because it is convenient. Absent national crisis, you won't wait in line during the day. My interactions with staff have been courteous and helpful. In fact, when I had no toilet paper and couldn't find any, an employee offered me his allotted 8-pack. After six years in the neighborhood, there are still some familiar faces at the check-out. It's always clean and well-stocked, again, absent COVID's initial impact.

My FAVORITE FOOD LION IF over 40 YEARS. Since I was at least 13 years old. Fed me for YEARS OF service. I have even worked there in the meat department and know Daniel and others who work, live , and LOVE GOD 💯

Need to update as time passes. For my 1st visit, store was clean and easy to navigate. Cashier was friendly and help me set up for the free membership on the kiosk. Will definitely try again!

They had everything I needed in stock and the cashiers were fast and friendly. I really appreciate them cleaning the carts between uses and having someone there to greet me at the door. Definitely worth driving past other grocery stores to get here.

The new remodeled store is awesome, the merchandise has expanded. Really fresh veggies and meats. Only wish they had made the food cases more accessible for the Handi-capped. To hard to reach things. Thank God for Kind shoppers.

Food Lion is the best grocery store. They are always clean and neat. The food is always fresh. The prices are great. Check-out is never a hassle. They have the option of brown paper bags which are eco and better for packing. Food Lion has been our regular store for years & years.

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate this store. I have a food lion closer to my home but I like this one better, its right by my mother's home and i usually do my grocery shopping after visiting her. Anyways tonight I came in around 8:30pm, I decided to do my grocery shopping since I was feeling restless with my husband coming in late from standing duty. I always look like I am lost because I have a grocery list and I add up prices. But the stock ladies and gentlemen were very polite and helpful even though I didn't need any help it was still nice that they offered. Now the thing that really made me decided to write the company was the way an issue was addressed.

I could tell that some of the cashiers were about to leave for the night and I had a lot of items. At first I only seen the light for the 12 items or less lane, so I asked if there was any other lanes open one of the cashiers said that she was moving to another lane, she pointed left so i walked left and I saw a empty lane with the light on. I started lining up my items to be scanned and waited for her to come over. Then I saw her preparing to swap with another girl so I asked them who was coming to my lane because the light is on. She stated she didn't know why that light is on but she stopped what she was doing and came to my lane to check me out. I guess it was just a misunderstanding and someone never switched the light off. The manager came to her and took over so that she could finish relieving the other cashier so she could go home. She never gave me attitude and worked fast so that I didn't have to wait longer and the manager was polite and nice to me also. I didn't catch his name but he was a white older guy with gray hair. And the girl's name was Patrice and she was a young black female. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I love the neighborhood grocery store. Their prices are good and selection is wide. The staff is super helpful.

Love shopping here. Very nice store. Lines are never to long. Always have what I need. I don't have to go to the other stores now because I seem to find all that I need at this one store.

Five stars due to the employee that asked if I needed help carrying drinks to the car. I have been to many other Food Lions and service is not a main requirement or it seems like it , but this rating was due the excellent customer service at this store.

Food Lion was great went in and got me some fried chicken it was very hot

My husband and I had the pleasure of shopping at this Store#3855 last Sunday. Our cashier was Samina who was very attentive and simply God sent. She displayed patience with us when we were taking forever to load our items then she showed us how we could save $10 off our purchase by becoming a member. We will definitely sign up for membership now because of her! Being in customer service myself, I can recognize and appreciate great customer service representatives like Samina...we are truly a rare find. Just had a bad experience today. I rated them 5 stars because they normally good. But the cashier I had today has bad customer service skills

I actually enjoyed my time shopping this past Sunday at Food Lion! I found everything I was looking for--and more, of course! 😊
It's so wonderful having a Food Lion in the wythe Area of Hampton, which enables us not to have to go so far for Groceries, as well as for quick Pick-ups.

Food Lion is way better than Walmart. Food Lions shelve prices are ok, as long as you got your Food Lion MVP card.. Food Lion on is closer to my house.. Thank You food lion.. Walmart will be bought out by Amazon at least that's what I herd about Walmart being bought out

Store has a new wing bar.Produce deparment has been cleaned up and has fresh fruit and vegetables. Meat department has new
produces. Also has fresh cut flowers and hanging baskets arriving daily.
