Only for the love of nature. Trails are terrific for cardio. The seating along the trails is a great touch for those moments you just want to stop, sit, and take in the sounds of God's creation.

Lovely park with scenic views, nice walking/ hiking trails, a dog park, and family picnic and play areas. Very well cared for and well worth the drive to Smithfield. I'll definitely be back!

I take my dogs to walk on the trails here every day. They are all about 1.5 miles long and very peaceful. There are puppy clean up stations all throughout the park which is great because I don't have to worry about carrying a poo bag the whole time I'm walking. There are also several benches set up in serene locations to listen to the birds and for peaceful contemplation. If you visit keep an eye out for painted rocks or consider leaving one of your own.

A very nice trail network and well manicured grounds add up to a very nice, scenic visit. There are trails that connect to the Historic Downtown, which is very nice to extend your hike and maybe take a little break at a cafe or shop. Kayaks are available for rent at the river. A great place to visit and beautifully maintained.

A beautiful park right next to historic Smithfield. Really impressed with this. Lots of lookouts over the marsh, very clean and well maintained, includes a dog park and a unique playground as well as a kayak launch. Beautiful shaded and unshaded trails alike. I would be here all the time if I lived nearby.

There are some good walking trails here! People hide painted rocks on the path and my children love finding them ❤. We love to come out here for the water view from the pier... and looking at Smithfield station. Very peaceful and nice.

Fun place to chill! Didn’t expect it to be so cute but it was. Trails were easy to walk with cute views. I wouldn’t call it extraordinary… but it was a nice place to walk and hangout with some friends. Will definitely go again for a day picnic.

Good signs in Smithfield got us here from Main Street. We parked near the kayak rental and landing and began the trail there. It's about 3 miles around. Nice trails, nice scenery. No parking lot that I could see, parking just off the road. There is a dog poop bag dispenser that I saw, only noticed one but I brought my own. Portable toilet was available near the kayak rental, website indicates restrooms are available near the picnic areas.

Most Beautiful location for this event we catered. We are Hibachi Buddha and this event was a Birthday Party with 150 guests. The weather was amazing, the site was perfect even for the ladies in high heels becausea tent with a real dance floor was assembled!!! We cooked under the huge open two sided shed. The lighting was perfect and the breeze coming from the beautiful lake was amazing! This is the perfect location for any event!!!!

This park is amazing! We just stumbled onto it while we were visiting Smithfield. The tress are AMAZING!! Seriously, some of the trees have to be hundreds of years old! They're HUGE! It is gorgeous. Run, walk, bike, bring your dog. The playgrounds were also as entertaining for our little boys.

Great local park to visit. Plenty of free parking available and fairly easy to get to. They have multiple trails that are well marked and easy to follow. The paths are really well shaded, so even on hot summer days you stay relatively cool walking around. The trails are gravel so I wouldn't recommend bringing a stroller. They also have a dog park and kayak rentals. Definitely check this park out if you're looking for a great way to spend a few hours in nature.

We had a lovely time in Smithfield, VA. Beautiful, quaint area. Gorgeous vintage homes! The main purpose of our visit was to explore Windsor Castle Park. Absolutely not disappointed! Plenty of walking trails, play area for kids, dog park, and more. The Windsor Castle mansion would be dreamy for a wedding. Don't visit the area on a Monday, though. Many shops and restaurants are closed. Do stop at Smithfield Ice Cream Shop...great sandwiches (and ice cream, of course)! Also met many very friendly, helpful people in Smithfield. We will definitely visit again!

A great park for the family. Has long walking trail, a bike trail and small playground for the little one as well. And for pet owners you can bring your dogs too.

This place is magical! Literally for everyone. We past runners, bicyclists, kids, and dogs. The natural play area is fantastic! My kids and I (6 & 9) walked the loop and found some geocaches! We will definitely be back!

What an amazing place! Nature and beauty around every turn! Many trails through hills and valleys, over rocks and through the dense trees. Open green space with no sounds but nature! My bestie and I had a lovely breakfast under an umbrella of trees on one of the several picnic tables, close to a children's play area and the awesome dog park. I can't wait to go back and explore more!

Gem of Isle of Wight County. Hiking, kayaking, dog park, and gorgeous views. Just watch out for snakes during warmer months.

This park is great for a short hike or a run. There is a dog park and two playgrounds. There is also a picnic area with grills that are open to the public. It's about a 45 minute drive from downtown Norfolk, so it's a short day trip. It's worth the drive!
