Syracuse Cooperative Market

Reminiscent of the old corner stores of yesteryear. Complete with creaky wood floors and super friendly staff. They sell only organic produce and natural foods, including bulk grains, beans and spices. They have a decent array of craft beers too. What brought me there is their participation in the New York State Double Up Food Bucks initiative. This is a program where SNAP recipients receive a dollar for dollar credit for fresh produce purchases, up to $20 a day.

I'm happy to see co-ops doing well and this one seems to be doing great! It's great to be able to support a grocery that specializes in local and seasonal items. They also have some really good craft beer selections as well.

We love the coop! It’s so wonderful having a local shop in our neighborhood with such great selection. The bulk food options are great.

The Syracuse Co-Op Carie’s excellent quality items, some of which I can’t find anywhere else. I find I don’t mind the slightly higher prices when weighed against the commitment to local products and perfect customer service.

I like to stop by here to indulge sometimes. Great selection of products/food and lovely workers! Don't mind the above average prices for these products because I like to support them and their message. Good member deals too.

Great products! Member deals are amazing! This store has a ton of vegan and vegetarian options. The co op system is a huge support of local small business and agriculture. They are a great aspect of any community and provide a great service. The staff is incredible and very helpful. Prices are great for the products you are getting!

I live in the neighborhood and shop here almost weekly for jumbo eggs, and it's the only place where I can find Jersey Girl raw milk cheese and delicious Jersey cow milk without having to travel to the Regional Market on the north side. Five stars!

Love having a food store in walking distance in a residential neighborhood. I wish the prices weren't so high but the products are great quality. If you have never been definitely check it out. It's a cute place and the staff are always friendly. Also the hours are great, 8am to 9pm everyday!

Good place for lunch if your in the neighbourhood, hot coffee in the morning,excellent craft beer selection also fresh produce. The best aspect is the friendly and helpful staff! Still great

Best little coop, just down the road from me. Always great staff and lots of selection for the size of the building. Best beer selection I've found in town of funky stuff, in the summer awesome produce. Great all around for quick shop and quality!

I love the Syracuse Real Food Co-op, unfortunately I don’t live close enough to make it my main place to shop. However when we fly out of Syracuse airport we pop in real quick to grab a nice organic delicious Ethiopian drip coffee or a quick healthy bite to take with us on the plane. They have lots of options to-go to choose from. Vegan or not gluten free etc. I love this adorable cute lil co-op and always find joy in visiting and supporting them!! Co-ops are a lifesaver!

My go to place to shop and support my local economy. Great service and knowledgeable staff. Plus a great variety of high quality and heirloom items. Always my first stop aside from farm and plow-shares

The CoOp is a great place. It is a bit like walking into a health food store of the early 70's. They have a nice selection of organic local produce, many wholesome food items as well as ready to eat fresh sandwiches, wraps soup etc. There guacomole is made right there and is excellent. I am not a beer drinker but i see that recently they have an interesting selection of alternative beers to Budweiser etc. The staff is always helpful and the place has a nice atmosphere to it. A great local business and organization to support.

Perfect little store with a decent variety of groceries and produce. It's got all the basics. If you are looking for something very specific, this might not be the place to stop for it. But I could easily buy a week's worth of groceries here or grab some ready made food to go. And yes it costs more, this is a small business filled with organic and local products.

This is your friendly neighborhood grocery store. Non pretentious and convenient. They stock Recess Coffee and Daily Bread and are open all the time. Just go. It's great.

Nearly everywhere I've lived, I've joined a co-op market. I was glad to find this little gem in the University area of Syracuse. Fresh organic veggies, bulk foods and products...and they're exposing to a larger location downtown!

Staff always has a good attitude and are very helpful. This market has a great vibe to it; it feels very homey. Also the ceiling has cool decorations; check it out!
