Porcupine Mountains Outpost

Ice Cream and souvenirs, also practical stuff. Been going here for years. They kind of changed. Less grocery stuff. And they no longer make the Blizzard (they had another name for it but i can't remember) Just ice cream by the scoop. Ice and firewood here too. Very nice staff at this store.

Well stocked little store serving the local state park. If you forgot your marshmallows or fleece jacket, they have it.

They stock some limited camping supplies, souvenirs, and some snack food items, just don't plan on grocery shopping here. They also sell hard ice cream by the scoop.

Prices are a little higher but not crazy. You're paying a bit more for the convenient location. It's walkable from the Union Bay campground.

Nice little place to stop for some ice cream and photo op with the giant bear out front. The people here were very nice, and even offered to get my 4 year old a new cone after he dropped his. A unique road sign out front says it's 2 miles to "the end of the earth". Can get gifts, firewood, milk and bread etc, which was nice for us as the next closest place was about 20 miles away

We came here from Oshkosh WI to stay at union bay campground. The outpost was a great spot to have some ice cream and get your loved ones(or yourself) some souvenirs. They have most essentials of things you might have forgotten like big spray, soaps, period products and more.

Great store, it has almost anything you would need if camping in the area. Or just passing through and need some great snacks. Awesome collection of wearables like t shirts and sweatshirts with logos of many of the area attractions. A great place that is worthwhile to visit.

Cute store,unique gifts and they do ice cream. No bathrooms because no running water to that area. Not a big deal since bathrooms are at visitors center.

The rangers were so nice and helpful! The little exhibit of animals was pretty neat too. We hope to come back and do lots of hiking someday.

This store has the best selection of UP souvenirs. The owners are amazing people and I was blessed to have met them when I came up for a visit from TN!

After visiting Porcupine Mtns we stopped at the Outpost. The Post is loaded with souvenir shirts,sweaters, and hoodies..you can also purchase coffee mugs, Amethyst, and desserts. Fun time.

Great place lake in the clouds beautiful the fall colors are great worth the drive from Detroit
