The Best Stop Cajun Market - Katy, TX

We are so excited this is in Katy! We ALWAYS go and stock up at the original in Scott, LA. The red beans and rice, pork cracklings and boudin is so good to just buy at counter. The pepper jack boudin balls are amazing. We love the sausages. We actually asked about a specific sausage at this location that we had in Scott and he told us to come back in the morning, in which we did and they made it fresh for us right then and there. The staffing is very friendly! We absolutely will be back! Again, so happy you are in Katy!

Heard rumors that a cajun spot from Louisiana had made its way to Houston, so I had to try it out, especially being from New Orleans. The store was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The line was to the door but they move fast on the inside. There's uncooked cajun food like boudin, cajun pork et al, spices from Zatarain's to Slap Ya Mama et al. There's also cooked food. I didn't take a picture of it because lots of good food isn't photogenic and what I had was definitely not photogenic. Trust me when I say that it was delicious. I had the boudin poboy. It was only a six inch poboy but it was filling. There's a place to sit and eat if you like. I'll be back to get some Gambino's king cake!

I usually stop by every other week but on this particular day I stopped in before work to pick up a few things for my coworkers (8 different orders to be exact). The gentleman that started my order seemed a bit rush ( perhaps stressed but I totally understand, i probably should have called it in ) but then two young ladies jumped in to finish my orders and they were so nice and quick. I kept apologizing because I didn't want to create a back up in the line and they did an amazing job!! Then when I went to check out the cashier and her associate did another great job! They found a box to load up my order and she even label each order by name and taped the individual receipts to every one. I didn't get their names but this was on 3/5/24 around 9:30-10am. They truly knocked it out the park with speed, efficiency, and friendliness! I appreciate it so much.

Cracklings pork and chicken are great and there onion rings are very tasty, Boudin balls is a must try , red beans, and rice delicious , I will be returning, this place is very busy they need a bigger parking lot.

WOW!!! Stopped here today for the first time. I'll definitely be back because it's probably my new home for all things Cajun!! Got some jalapeño pork sausage, smoked boudin, and crawfish boudin, which I'm really excited about because that is not easy to find. I've only found one other place that has crawfish boudin. However, the star of the show was the Jalapeño and Cream Cheese Stuffed Duck Breast!!!!! I've made these many times but never seen a store selling them. Can't wait to cook those little jewels up tonight!!

Tried some delicious chicken crackling at Best Stop Cajun Market. The smoked boudin is a must! Outstanding customer service. Highly recommend it if you're in Katy. Thank you Robert for a great experience for our first time visiting.

Nick and the krewe bringing that cajun flavor to west Houston. You want it, they got it. Amazing move by them to open stores. This red beans and rice is so good, I can never order it at Popeyes ever again!

I am from the area in Louisiana that the original Best Stop is in Scott. I have been living in the Houston area for 12 years now and would always stop in Scott to get sausage and boudin before heading back to Texas. Not anymore. I live in Katy and it is nice to have all of the same stuff here so close to my house. Make it feel like a slice of home followed me. The store is new and everyone is willing to help out. Keep this up.

Finally was able to come here today. Got a king cake which was good. The boudin and red beans was really good. The customer service at the register needs improvement. If the business is going to represent Louisiana they could be friendlier and look like they like being at work.

Yumm! The cracklins are what I've mainly come for here. They are amazing, expensive but amazing. Their BBQ burger too is pretty dang good. Had me craving a second one while I was eating the first one. Haha

My favorite place to shop in Katy. So thankful to have you in Katy. Everyone is truly excited and love the Best Stop. Just check on the thousands of customers every day. Sure, things sell out and the lines can be long. That is expected when you have a new and excited store such as The Best Stop coming to a new location. I will gladly wait for the best Cajun Food in the area. Thanks for coming to our city and bringing this awesome food.

I work here as a cashier, the employees and management make coming to work a real pleasure. The food is delicious! My favorites are the chicken cracklins, the boudin wraps and balls, and the Dana burger, outstanding! 👍🏾🫶🏾

So glad they open one in Houston! Went twice last week. First time they had both chicken and pork cracklings for me to buy but only allowed 1LB each. Thursday afternoon, they ran out of the pork and I would have to wait 20 min for the chicken. Future, I’ll just call them first before driving out there. The good news is they got the belt barriers so we know where the line starts to order food.

Normally I don't post but needed to due to the negative reviews I saw and this place deserves more credit than it's been given. Yes long lines but when the Best comes to town what do you expect. Yes closed earlier due to being sold out, I'm just glad that I don't have to make an excuse to drive back home to FL or wait for it to be shipped from Scott, LA anymore. DELICIOUS! I had the red beans and rice, smoked boudin, and ettoufee. It was all BOMB! I have one recommendation, please add combo plates to the menu! If you want a taste of Louisiana without crossing the Texas state line come here! Everyone was nice and accommodating and I will definitely be returning.

This place is great! I’m so happy. I’ve tried a few things so far and they are great with one exception. I tried a cheeseburger and even though it was made well with good ingredients it lacked flavor; needed salt in particular. The potato bun, though of good quality, was dense. The crinkle cut fries were perfect. I think mostly it was my selection because I’ve learned that they have burgers made with cajun ingredients that I’m now looking forward to and I’m sure they’ll have the right kick.

Had lunch here today. Pretty busy around noon. That's a good sign. I had four boudin balls and real cracklins. Very tasty. It's not so easy getting real cajun food this far into Texas. I had asked if they had a combo plate, was told not just yet but they will as they are new here. Recommend!

Happy to have them in Houston…no need to drive to Louisiana for their famous cracklings. Their crawfish pies and red beans & rice are delish!!! I will be back soon.
