Big Y World Class Market

Big Y in Ellington, ct is the place I do my grocery shopping. I find the people working there are always helpful. I want to mention a particular employee in the bakery department...her name is Lauren.
I have had several occasions to place orders or I just needed help. Lauren always has a smile and she is very customer service minded. The cakes she decorates are the most beautiful and I usually ask for her when ordering. She goes above and beyond in servicing me and that kind of customer service is valued by me. She is a valuable employee and please make sure these comments go into her personnel file.

David, a young cashier with brown hair, was in incredibly polite to me tonight as I tried paying for my groceries with three different cards, a little cash, and even having to put some back. You can tell he was raised right and is an asset to your team. Thank you, David!

The Big Y store is always clean. Including the bathroom. The store has such a large selection of everything you need. And great coupons and sales.

Nice store with items well stocked before a snow storm. Lines weren't long checking out.

Big Y is Super!!! Great prices , and Great people that work there. I go there all the time and would give them 11 stars if I could lol. Seriously they are wonderful.

We love shopping at Big Y. The fresh produce is high quality and they are rarely out of food. The store is always clean and staff are friendly.

I will always be a customer to Big Ys! Always great deals, fresh food & the hot foods/to go meals are always great. This location in particular has a large beer selection as well. love it when the open the doors in the summer! beautiful!

This is a beautiful Big Y. Always clean and decorated for the current season. I choose this store because their produce is amazing!! Their meats are excellent as well, with more organic/grass fed options added recently. Their organic and gluten free section is small, and I would be happier if it was expanded, but for this small town they manage to have many excellent options. The parking lot is well kept (unlike the Manchester Big Y) and the staff is generally friendly. A few cashiers are quite excellent. They always have fresh flowers, and their bakery cakes are great. This grocery store doesn’t disappoint and that is why I have been a loyal customer for years.

What can I say, Big Y is exceptional !
Great selections great staff. Check out the hot food bar where they have wings and ribs and soup that are delicious. Hot fresh Stromboli, pizza, grinders all ready quickly.

I always shop here every week and where everyone is always so nice I had the pleasure of running into Sean in the grocery department he was awesome I asked for some paper towels to clean up a mess I made and he came over and started helping me. He didn’t have to but he did and I appreciated that he did!!! I know I said Thankyou to you in the store but I wanted to tell you again!

Love shopping there. It's clean and well stocked. Selections are great. Lots of gluten-free, dairy free and organic choices. Well done Big Y!

I love this Big Y. May be a large store, but the staff treat you like part of the community. The pharmacy is so helpful and remember you.

One of the more modernized Big Y's. I'm jealous because the one in my area doesn't even have self check out lol. Some of the shoppers were giving me dirty looks but this is America! Linda the cashier was very nice and Charles with bagging was very helpful!!

More expensive then other grocery stores but they offer unique it's like the packaged fresh salmon with either fresh green beans and broccoli with seasoned butter or the stuffed salmon. My father loves them, they're easy to cook and come out great in our air fryer

I like this stores organization set up of aisles. The employees are helpful with any questions. Prices are comparable to four other grocery stores within a ten mile radius. Sales are great. Produce is fresh & looks great.

It's hard to describe what makes this place special. It feels like part of the community. I feel at home here. The selection is great , the layout is great , the Big-Y products themselves are good ( Particularly their red sauce and pizzas cooked in-store ) , and it's right in the center of a large residential area, making this a perfect grocery store. My one single complaint is the layout and placement of foods within various aisles change far too often.

A very clean grocery store with a great selection of produce. They also are great if you want to grab a hot meal and,go with choices from sushi to rotisserie chicken. They are also open until 10pm every day except Sunday (they are open until 9pm) which is pretty late if you want to run out late!

We've been shopping at Big Y for years. The staff does a good job, even during the chaos of the Easter weekend.

Today's experience was the same as usual at Big Y in Ellington, excellent. I personally do not like to wait in long lines, bag my groceries, or get a bad attitude from people that do not want to be at work, like at another local grocery store. I am never disappointed when I leave Big Y in Ellington, CT. On top of outstanding customer service, you also get top quality products at competitive prices. Keep up the good work Big Y Ellington, CT.
