Amazing place for a delicious, Yemenis meal, or a quick grocery stop. Tons of amazing imported and local items as well. The chicken pesto was incredible, and the felafel plate was delicious as well. Fresh, made-to-order, and family-owned. A wonderful spot in Berkeley.

Zaa'tar restaurant inside is a hidden gem. I've had their very delicious and satisfying falafel wrap a few times. Come here for yummy yet nutritious food with a big serving size sold for an affordable price.

They have a really good selection of fresh organic produce with some unique items that you can't find anywhere else. Ran by a very nice Yemeni family. One of the co-owners of the store is a trained chef and has a delicious and healthy items you should try.

New deli inside with daily menu. Fresh rolled out bread made to order, great veggies middle eastern food. Good soup as well. Just delicious!

Delicious food made by lovely people 😋❤ the kitchen is open different hours than the grocery store. The man working the register today said it's 11am-5pm but I'm not sure what days.

This place has gotta be best kept secret in the east bay. Within about 2000 square feet they have just about everything you might need. Great produce, excellent range of organic and premium packaged and fresh foods, and a cafe serving Yemeni/middle eastern cuisine. And incredibly wonderful and warm people working here (including the Yemeni owners and family). We are blessed to have this store here.

n few words "best falafel pita sandwich" I had today! I love it so much! It wasn't overly sodium like a lot of places and price was just right. What's in the pita was fresh vegetables and hummus was just right. It came with a side salad. It was so refreshing. I cannot wait to eat this all the time now. Thank you for the man that made my falafel today. Everyone was so helpful and kind that works there. Unlike most places and restaurants/cafe in Berkeley people are mean and rude because they hire these college students that is lacking the customers service.

Berkeley Organic Market is a very compact version of Whole Foods. there's a food counter with a small menu of soup, wrap, falafel bowl & sides.

eats: mannaqeesh flatbread (5.50)
-has a few spices mixed with huumus, avocado, cucumbers, tomato, argula on a round flatbread.
-luckily, it wasn't messy to eat (as feared). it didn't have a lot of sauce. yummy.

drink: GT synergy raw kombucha "tantric turmeric" (3.99)
-instructions are not to shake, just swirl gently
-nice blend of teas, juices, flavorings, no weird taste, just 12 grams sugar (4%), 50 calories. would try again or another flavor.

Amazingly fresh Mediterranean wrap. The bread is baked fresh to order. These are made and prepared with so much care and love every time. This place is one block from my best friends house and I didn't understand how she was so excited about a veggie wrap until I tried it. Now I have to get multiple every time I'm in town to visit her. Very special place and people

This market seems small and limited but it's actually not. For being small, they have a lot of fresh produce, drinks, canned goods, breads, snacks, and a vegan deli. I haven't tried food from their deli yet and I will. However, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by the guy at the register. I'm assuming he's the owner because he was talking about inventory to me. Their products are pretty healthy, natural and fresh. Bouquets of fresh flowers are outside for purchase as well. I love how close this market is to me and instead of eating out at a restaurant for lunch, I can go here and buy something fresh and quickly. I can even bring ingredients from here to work and make something for lunch. It's convenient.

I moved to the neighborhood in March 2022 and fell in love with this place on my first visit. Hafez, his family and the other staff are all so helpful and super friendly. Their great range of organic produce, groceries and eco-friendly household products, means I don't have a need to shop anywhere else. And their Zaatar wraps are a real treat.

I love this local market so much. The owners and workers are kind and helpful. I always find the best snacks and groceries. They also have a deli inside that makes the most amazing wraps you have ever tasted. I am so grateful to have them in the neighborhood.

Delicious veggie wrap! Decent portion for a light meal at a great price. Simple ingredients that all taste super fresh; not sure if it's because I usually suck at buying produce, but low-key shocked at how good the tomato and cucumber are in November. The staff at the hot bar and checkout are kind and gracious 😊

Love the new deli menu!! What a great gift to the neighborhood. The food is clean and fresh. Plant-based and all organic. Simple menu—soup, flatbread, middle-eastern inspired but with global flare.

Love the grocery selection too!

This market has changed hands many times, and I've been sad each time it's gone under due to lack of business. I'm happy to see the way Hafez and Team have made this new model more workable...But, most of all, I am thrilled the way it has come (for me, at least) to feel like a neighborhood hub. Everyone is super friendly, and helpful, and they take note when they are missing something and order it. I love going for lunch and getting their homemade soup and folded bread w hummos and spices etc. Under Hafez's direction, this place has become a gem!

Amazing! Wonderful People and Great Selection. My wife and I visit here at least once a week to grab some essentials and some fresh made Baklava. Lot's of local food, vegan options, vegetarian selection, fresh and organic fruit and veggies, tons of necessary items as well. Go see for yourself, this place is grand!

Fresh! Friendly! Great everything! Small business that cares where they get there products! Mostly locally sourced! Organic and tasty! I go weekly for the veggie wrap(add avo) and spicy baba! Chocolate and cheese you can’t go wrong! So glad they opened the kitchen and will continue to support them over their competitors down the street!

Just discovered this gem with a couple of friends! Loved to see a fellow Yemeni running/managing an incredible space that captures that energy and the spirit of the Yemeni community with some California love. You can see the intention and passion in every corner in this space. I can’t wait to return and try the deli. Everything smelled SO good — even with the masks on!

Very clean and tidy, recently-opened shop with a great selection of healthy staples, plus authentic middle eastern delicacies like halva, baklava, and more. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely go back for more.

In addition to homemade food feel, there is such a fantastic sense of community here! It's rare that your chef doles out free samples of a potential new menu item before helping you find that niche organic item you were looking for!

Love this little market! I work down the street so this is a frequent lunch stop for me and my colleagues. The zaatar wrap at the deli counter is an affordable and delicious option for a light lunch (they even make the flatbread fresh right in front of you!), and the owner is always testing new recipes for various other Jordanian delicacies (falafel, baba ganoush etc).

I love that they stock lots of local products, a wide variety of fair trade chocolate, and a range of cold beverages including locally made kombuchas, coffee drinks and organic sodas. Good selection of organic produce too, and pantry staples in the back.

Wonderful neighborhood family-run market with healthy products, organic produce and fresh deli. Great local and natural products that I used to find in my favorite natural food markets in SF. Enthusiastic staff and sweet vibe. So glad you pivoted to healthy and fresh!
