Indian Grocery and Chaat

Great dosas!! My mom and I were in the area for a week and ate here at least 4 times. Veggie pakora is great too. You can order in person, over the phone or get food delivered through grub hub. Bought some items from the store too. Happy to have found this place, told friends to go and will be back for sure!

Exceptionally good, kitchen is run by two Mothers .The influence can be seen in the taste, it really felt homely. I had a meal and Chana Batura along with Dosa , the taste and portion was amazing. The cost is unbeatable. The sweets too are the best among what I had in USA. A must go place if you are around . I will go again for sure, even if I have to drive 45 min.
Don’t expect too much spice or color , it’s like home cooked .

Dosa, samosey & the fried peanuts (snack) were AMAZING. Sambar was a tad spicy but overall delicious. The most notable thing is their customer service. The gentleman working the front counter on Sat Mar 19th at 6:51PM was extremely helpful. I asked if the fried peanuts (snack) was spicy, he insisted that I should taste before purchase even though I had already agreed to purchase to avoid being an inconvenience to him. He went out of his way to make sure I liked what I’m buying.

To the owner: listen, your food is worth it so don’t be hesitant on raising your prices. $22 total for 8 samosas, dosa, and including the $5 the snack is cheap.

The food and customer service is amazing. I am very grateful for the hospitality everyone always shows me. Some of my favorite dishes I order regularly are the Gobi Manchurian (sweet, spicy, and full of herbs and amazing flavors). Also the Chana masala (chole), samosas, veg biryani, aloo gobi, roti, bread pakoras, and so much more. I have a dairy allergy so I eat a lot of vegan food. The staff helped walk me through dishes I could eat and has even modified dishes for me. I’m a permanent customer.

Discovered this place today and it is an absolute gem! I'd already had lunch but could not resist the smells of chaat luring me to the back of the store. Enjoyed some veggie samosas with chutney--yum! They also have a lunch buffet and great selection of vegetarian food. The owner chatted with us and you can tell she's very passionate about what she does. Will definitely be back!

This place is excellent. They have exotic vegetables, import vital ingredients, and have a wonder selection of everything you could want in an Indian market.

The Chaat is also wonderful. I always wind up buying more food than I need because it’s just so good. I highly recommend you try everything on the menu at least once. The staff clearly know their way around a spice blend, and there’s no shortage of vegetarian and vegan options.

I am a big fan of Raj Kachori Chaat at Indian grocery and Chaat. The taste is authentic and is like home made food. everything is made fresh and can be customized to your spice level . Highly recommend this place

A great dining experience. Great take out and dining in is also highly recommend. Authentic cuisine that surely will satisfy. The service is excellent. A great change up from my typical diet. You must try it and see for yourself.

Very good food and completely exceeded expectation. We had bhel puri, dahi puri, samosas and chai. Dahi puri was awesome! They make their own puri! Samosas were good and the chutneys made them even better. Best part was its reasonably priced. Servers were friendly and polite. Overall a great experience. Will visit again soon.

On our way to Yosemite we found this awesome place to eat vegetarian food. This place had really good food. It was just like home made food. The sweets were also very fresh and tasty.

Thank youuu to all the shops closed during my early morning lunch hour.. I came across this divine place. The food was so good reminded me of my childhood best friend's house when I would stay for dinner. Very homemade flavor in the food. The portion was perfect. The garlic naan just kept giving lol. Aside from the food the customer service is beyond great, great people to help with whatever you need. I will definitely be back, I highly recommend!

Stopped in to check out the place as we were passing through town on our way to our hotel room. After the very helpful son, who is helping his parents run the store, had us taste several of their daily specials we decided to buy 3 of their meal of the day specials. We took them to our hotel room and had a wonderful dinner. The food is fresh and tasty. The grocery store side made me drool. So jealous that people in Modesto have this great resource. Wish they were closer to our home. We don’t have a place like this in Palm Springs. We will definitely stop here every time we are driving up the 99.

Very clean, appealing store with a lot of items that are hard to find. Check out their spice selection, some of which is imported by a member of their family so they can maintain low prices. The manager told me that many of their menu items can be prepared vegan style if you call ahead or are willing to wait a bit longer for them to make it special for you.

I just came by this store a couple days ago and wow was i surprised. it should mention that they have a restaurant on the back because boy was the food delicious. Me and my wife just moved from LA 2 months ago and one of her co workers highly recommended this place. Amazing service by the gentlemen and ladies in the back. Everyone was so friendly it seemed like a movie scene with how busy and smoothly everything ran. Definitely recommend this place and will be coming back.

Wow! What a delicious place for some home made Indian food. Either because of the quaint place, the excellent customer service, or that it's home made, the food ....leaves you speechless. It's as if seva and hospitality grew a sweet little shop.

I've been to quite a few Indian stores with small sweets/chat shops... and even with new management just starting a month ago or so, in my opinion, this place tops the local market and will only get better from here!

I was there just now, got the samosas. Food is SO GOOOOOD!! The man who helped me (wish I had asked him name,seems to be the owner) is so kind and helpful. It was my first time there and I probably looked lost so showed me around and answered my questions. Will definitely be back!

The young man was very friendly and helpful. I kind of found this place on accident. I was waiting for rodgers to open.. The food smells fabulous. I didn't order but will next time as I already had bought my lunch elsewhere. They have a great selection of spices.

Absolutely the best Indian food and Indian grocery in our area. I will definitely be going back for lunch or food to go on a regular basis ☺

Excellent choices and best prices. I was traveling from out of state and it was worth the effort to stop by and get some Indian “Kent” mangoes, fresh Indian sweets, even had chaat (to-go), and bought a whole bunch of Indian grocery items. The people are friendly, helpful, and very personable.

The shop is COVID-19 aware and had sanitizing spray right upfront.

The selection included both fresh fruits and vegetables that are sometimes hard to find - such as fresh Lichis and Mangoes.

Highly recommended!
