One of the best ice cream we've had on the East Coast! Their scoops are gigantic! Great dairy that we take back home every time we go there. The only minus goes for double charging us for one of the items on our credit card on our last visit. We've noticed it back home. Will mention it next time we're there. But all in all 5 stars.

This is my second favorite ice cream place of all time. If you find yourself in Litchfield county you must visit Arethusa and have some of their delicious ice creams. Their dairy comes from their own local farm and you can tell by the quality of their product. They have many great flavors but I always go with a chocolate milkshake. It’s so good we have even gone there before lunch time so we could grab some goodness before heading back home. It’s a top ice cream destination in Connecticut for a reason and well worth the wait if you see there’s a line out the door.

I loved my experience here. It is located in the beautiful town of Bantam. There is a parking lot located in the back with plenty of space. They offer many different ice cream, cheese and milk. The dairy is on premises. Everything in the store is made fresh only feet away from where you are buying it. The ice cream was amazing. You can get two scoops of freshly made ice cream for a similar price of the chain ice cream shops. I’d rather pay a slightly higher price to have much better and fresher quality. Excited to go back next time and try some of the cheeses that are made there as well. Five stars!

After dinner my family and I went out for ice cream, in Bantam center ,old firehouse turned into a dairy store. Little on the high end$$$ but delicious locally made. Kind of neat place to visit. Have a glass window between the shop and there ice cream production room so you can see where the actually make there products.

Best ice cream I have ever had. It doesn't matter if it's 30 degrees outside and snowing, I'm going to Arethusa. It was one of the most recommended spots while I was in the area and I'm glad I got to go more than once. I'll defiantly be going again when I'm in the area.

Always good and always a line. If you're me, always judge an eatery by the amount of people standing in line. And that's all you need to know. Well...not quite. Obviously you'll want to know why it's so good. Their ice cream is creamy and full of flavor. I feel its the right consistency. Not too hard and not too soft, that your hand becomes an instant lollipop after 5 minutes. They boast 16% butterfat, a tradition of olde along with fresh milk and cream. All make for a recipe of pure cold frozen delight. So go and have ice cream anytime of the year. You'll be sure to enjoy and added bonus, they have seasonal flavors!

This place was neat, staff was impressive and the ice cream. Ya, a whole new level of good! I found this place by Google, top places in CT for ice cream and this was 1 of a few. So we took the drive up to Bantam, beautiful drive btw. Got here and the line was almost out the door. Many folk here enjoying HUGE servings of delicious ice cream. We got the chocolate which was solid. The sweat cream with chocolate chips, yup good. And the fan favorite was their peach ice cream. OMG, yes that one. Wow. Seriously, that one should be registered for competition. So good, we had to take a couple pints home. We will be back! Plus, did I say the staff rocked!

Amazing ice cream. Everyone is always so pleasant to deal with here. My favorites are the rum raisin and the pumpkin pie which is seasonal.

Tasty, local ice cream, cheese, milk, butter and egg nog! My husband loves the egg nog, it doesn’t have all that fake thickening agents it. Everything is delish and worth the trip. You can find their products at some few local grocery stores like LaBonnes and Big Y’s. Happy Eating!

Delicious ice cream served by pleasant staff in a super cute store front. Choice of a waffle cone, regular cone or dish. I had the cranberry chocolate chunk and my friend had the toasted coconut and we both agreed it was some of the best I've cream we've ever tasted. Be sure to stop in if you're in the area.

Update: the maple walnut is delicious as is the cheese.

I always come here every summer their ice cream never fails to impress me! I like to sit outside and eat, there is a very nice view of the street side. You can tell the ice cream is made with the best ingredients, always a nice treat to visit here. Ice cream in the picture is raspberry flavor.

Phase 1: Procure all the butter pecan ice cream and camembert cheese you can carry.
Phase 2: cram as much into your face hole as possible.

Seriously, so so good. Haven't enjoyed a dairy shop this much since we visited the Tillamook creamery in Oregon.

One of the best places in Connecticut to get ice cream!

Possibly the best ice cream I've ever had, super creamy and I love the flavors. The cheese is excellent as well, we always pick up at least one cheese when we stop there.

I went here to get some ice cream today, and it was delicious as always. I have been coming here for years. I tried the new seasonal flavors- pumpkin and cranberry walnut, and I had them combine two flavors in one scoop. As you can see, the portion sizes are very generous! It tasted amazing! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants some delicious fresh ice cream! Clean store, friendly employees, not a single bad thing to say about this lovely place!

Always a wait, but worthwhile.
Flavors rotate and may be limited compared to other creameries, but each one is spectacular.
Here's a tip - figure out what you want BEFORE you get to the head of the line.
Despite a 15 minute slow trek inside, the woman in front of me still stood there for a half minute considering her options.
Flavors are posted on the board outside, so try to sort it in advance.
Staff is very courteous and professional and lots of parking around back.

AMAZING ICE CREAM!!!! Full of Flavor and ultra creamy and sweet. This place is the joint! Flavor Selection could be expanded but, I will take a few great flavors in stead of many mediocre flavors.

Excellent ice cream! Had a 2 scoop split of pumpkin with molasses and ginger snaps and coffee ice cream! Delish!!!

Really good ice cream and one of the best chocolate milk I ever had!! Worth the money for it
